My partner came in to get his glasses done as he was overdue renewing it from quarantine. They were so attentive and understanding when it came to his concerns that I myself went and it's such a wonderful place! I took my blue light custom limited edition glasses in to get fitted as it kept sliding off my face. Annoying to say the least. However! If there were only 100 stars, Windsor would have them all. Upon calling to book the appointment, I spoke with Ali who was friendly and very professional. I didn't book right away because I had a special request of receiving an anterior photo of my eye with a normal eye exam and she needed to see if they could accommodate. I figured I'd probably get a call a week later and to my surprise they called back the next day! When I arrived for my appointment, again all smiles and friendly faces. Dr. Gemma Patel greeted and she was really friendly, relatable, and sweet. I went through all the annual eye exam routines. All the equipment is up to date and clean. Since my eyes were in perfect condition, she just relayed that and was pleased about it and she didn't try to up sell my anything. Love that! I did a color contact lenses fitting to see what I thought. Didn't realize that was an additional cost but no biggie. Dr. Gemma took her time with me and was really happy to be all involved in trying a bunch of colors. So the anterior photo I had wanted wasn't in fact able to be done, however, Gemma went out of her way to call a colleague who could and that was very appreciated!! After I was done, of course I wanted to browse frame and sun glasses. The gentlemen there, was hilarious and very good at what he does. I ended having a blast just trying on sunglasses. Eye swear this is one of the best optical experiences eye have ever had! Dr. Patel is warm and knowledgeable. She takes time to answer your questions. She never made me feel rushed. The entire store is brand new, trendy, and clean. They have a great selection of frames including sunglasses. Dr. Patel herself hand picked every single frame in her store! Unlike other optical practices I have visited, Dr. Patel actually helped me pick out my glasses! Her entire staff including the opticians are so friendly and patient. I kept going back and forth between two different frames and they did not make me feel rushed or pressured to choose even though it was closing time. I ended up scoring a sweet deal on prescription sunglasses! #winning Parking is easy - the shop is in a huge strip mall with plenty of spaces. Very professional and friendly staff who knows their stuff. My cousin referred me to this location to check out the various selection in frames. My appointment was at 4pm on a Friday before Christmas and the staff took their time assisting me after my eye exam. Dr.Patel was very informative, friendly and honest about my health. My options and charges were explained thoroughly and checkout with insurance was a breeze. They were quick to update me when my order would be ready for pickup. If I could give more stars, I would give them 10. Let's be honest, no one likes going to the optometrist but they made it easy from the start. Not just the doctor- EVERYONE! I had a tight schedule but was able to get an appointment the SAME DAY! It was quick and their COVID protocols were on point. After a very thorough exam, I left my appointment without having to dilate my eyes thanks to that amazing machine. No idea what it's called though. They were also able to give me the photos from that test to give to another doctor for reference. In addition, I got contacts and 9 pairs of glasses. (Don't judge me!) Not only was it easy to schedule an appointment, the staff in the office make you feel like an old friend. Dr. Patel and Frank really took care of me and made sure I had options, based on my needs. I have great new glasses that were not only stylish but affordable - something really important to me. Their office is beautifully appointed without feeling stuffy. I hate getting eye exams-as in, I'd rather have a root canal than an eye exam. No idea why, but if I ever find a good therapist on Yelp, one of the first things I'll address is my aversion to going to the eye doctor. I mention this only to emphasize how great Dr. Patel and Frank have to be in order for me to give the 5 star rating. Initially I made an appointment with the independent optician in Lenscrafters at Perimeter Mall but decided that if my experience making the appointment was any indication of what to expect at the appointment, I would need sedation and a straight jacket. Windsor Eye Care was the next place I called. Frank took what would certainly be a novel approach for the Lenscrafters folks. Are you ready for this? He was polite and helpful. He took the time to look up my vision insurance for me, with very little information or help from me because I had no idea I even had vision insurance. He patiently explained my plan benefits, booked an appointment, and directed me to the website to fill out the online forms. Huh...customer service..who knew? Dr. Patel is also wonderful. She was patient, explaining all my options with regard to the different contacts because not only do I loathe eye exams, I insist on wearing tinted lenses, and I'm near-sighted and far-sighted. Also, I have trouble reading in dimly lit environments. That wouldn't be such a big deal if I didn't work in a dimly lit environment. But I do. Essentially, I'm just the garden-variety neurotic pain in the neck patient doctors so looooooveeee to see walk in (#sarcasm). The fact that Dr. Patel found a good solution is a miracle. The fact that she did so without losing her patience with me, is unbelievable. read more
