I left after being seated the lobby for 50 minutes, and watched a patient get taken back before me after they waited just 15 minutes. I was a new patient that scheduled this appointment just two days prior to coming in. I have been experiencing on and off pain from the wisdom tooth, as well as hot and cold pains and needed to get in ASAP. I arrived at exactly 1 o'clock for my appointment (not a minute late). There were three people ahead of me, but were all taken back by 1:15. I was the only one in the lobby for about 20 minutes until another gentleman came in around 1:30ish. He sat for just 15 minutes before being taken back before me. When I asked the front desk why this occurred, I was told he had a different doctor and different work being done. Being a new patient, being in pain, and after sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour I felt totally disrespected. I am sure they did not do it intentionally, and their staff was friendly. However, I did not get the treatment I needed and I'm now going to have to go a few more days in pain until I get another appointment somewhere else. I'm not sure why I was booked at 1 if there were 4 other patients taken before me causing me to wait nearly an hour. Would I have had to wait another 50 minutes if I didn't approach the front and ask what was going on? It was just 5 minutes after I asked why I was not being seen that a dental assistant came out to take me back... Another reason I left was because I was told the doctor was still treating a different patient and would be a little longer before I saw her. So even though I was going to the back, who knows how long it would have been before the doctor was completed with their current patient? Once again, the staff is friendly and they do a great job answering the phone, scheduling patients and being friendly. But I personally am not happy with how I was handled at 1 PM on a Friday after being on time and making this appointment as a new patient for pain.

Dr Le installed a bridge on a tooth that I had mentioned was throbbing and uncomfortable totally…read moredisregarding my concern. Consequently, I had to have the bridge removed by another dentist at my expense. Also, I was offered a credit card through Dr Le's office so I could now afford implants. Implants seem to be the goal for Dr. Le, but not for me. I do not trust Dr Le and his ulterior motives. I was loud and clear that If my insurance does not cover it I don't want it done. However, I was constantly billed for one thing or another which I did not approve. This was a very stressful and painful dental experience as I had to raise my hand repeatedly for pain. And after multiple painful hand raises, I just had to sit up in the dental chair to stop him completely before I was able to receive more pain medication. Dr Le noted that I had become combative because I sat up and stopped him from torturing me. It was a terrible experience I'm sorry to say, but necessary to raise awareness of this kind of treatment. Beware of this Mt Dora Modern Dentistry and Dr Le. Thank you. Do not recommend.

I had heard through co-workers that Dr. Gulde was wonderful and was relieved to find that he accepted my plan. The sweet woman who answered the phone got me in the same day as "an emergency". I expected to wait, but they didn't make me wait for long. She even had my insurance worked out before I even got there! My last office ALWAYS messed up my insurance. Either way, athough they had other patients, they made sure I was seen promptly. The genuine respect for my fears and desire by him to make this a "pleasant" experience amazed me. The Dr. and his sweet assistant (I think her name was Pamela?), took care of me that day and made sure I walked out with a gorgeous smile. I was surprised I wasn't even in pain, once the numbness wore off. Dr. Gulde explained every step of the procedure so I knew exactly what to expect, putting my mind at ease, and they did not pressure me to start anything until all of my questions were answered. I never thought I would say, but the experience was actually a pleasure. I would suggest anyone who is scared of dentist, or who has had a bad experience (like I have) to give this office a try. My only complaint if it really is one is they're ALWAYS behind. Not by like 15 mins, but by 40-to an hour. Which I'm glad they spend the extra care and time with you but it is stressful sometimes if you have other appointments etc.

I recognize most of the staff but there are some new ones here. All of them are friendly though. They are gentle and ask if you feel any pain throughout the processes. They recommend different care and have treatment plans. They go over the plans well and they also take time to go over any questions. It never feels rushed even when they have a lot going on but I also don't ask tons of questions so not sure. lol bbbuuuttt they have been great here so I'll continue coming for myself and my family.
