I wanted to find a new dentist close to where I live. I made at least 6 calls to local dentists tocal dentists to ask questions. I also skimmed over various reviews for each. Then I asked a friend who knows more people around here than I do to solicit recommendations. Mark Thomasson was at the top of the list for pricing and service. With that, I decided to take the chance. I liked the fact that it was clean but comfortable and relaxed in terms of the vibe. The assistant who got me started with x-rays (Whitley) was great. Dr. Thomasson came in and discussed options to address the issue I went in for and his news was better than I thought it might be. I agreed to move forward right then and I was out the door an hour or so later with a smaller bill than some of the other local dentists would have handed me, but I also left with peace of mind. Dr. Thomasson is obviously experienced. While being very down-to-earth, I also got the sense that he is also very thoughtful and puts things into proper perspective. It was a refreshing experience. I have never loved going to the dentist, but for me, this is as good as a trip to the dentist could ever be and, needless to say, I plan to return. read more

I recommend seeing a different, more accommodating & caring dentist if you have special needs or are the caregiver of a disabled child. After having to unexpectedly cancel my visit twice due to an emergency hospitalization because of my heart condition, I asked the receptionist and office manager if they would consider showing me other availabilities in the event I would not be able to arrive for my scheduled appointment in the event of a sudden health episode. I have a cane and wheelchair and am often too sick to be in public. I was turned down and aggressively told I was inconveniencing their office and making an unreasonable request. The abrasiveness, aggression, and lack of care I received from the receptionist were particularly striking. After reading several great reviews about their practice from this and other sites, I was so disappointed. read more

Not only is Mark a wonderful caring dentist but everyone in the office are really nice caring people. Especially Rachel. Not only are they great at what they do, but they send birthday and other holiday emails wishing me a great holiday. I never got that from any other doctor. read more

Excellent dentist office!!! I needed a filling fixed and I saw Andy(the singing dentist, he was singing along with the music playing in the background, loved it) first, he took great care of me and my tooth and his staff was awesome. Then I saw Mark(the father) for my regular cleaning and check up, Wonderful!!! The staff is SUPER friendly, warm and inviting. Met with son Andy who insisted he knew my teeth better than I do. Was a complete know it all and when I explained I have discussed the challenges with more than a few dentist. He said he could not work with me. I suspect it's my husband he objected too. Homophobic. Probably--pompous narcissist definitely But regardless not for the participating. I had some rather extensive and absolutely necessary work done by Andy yesterday and can't say enough about how patient and kind both he and his staff (Jamie and Connie) were. Mark even popped in briefly to say hello... I have a bit of a dental phobia, so went in very cranky and tearful, but left smiling. I've now got 5 temporary crowns, to be replaced with permanent ones in 2 weeks. Wish I hadn't put it off for so long, but grateful to have received the care I did yesterday. This was the MOST inviting, pleasantly calming and thorough dental visit I've EVER had! They are a father & son dental profession team and you quickly experience a family climate of comfort when you enter the office. All the dental hygienist are warm and courteous and it just reminded me of how folks use to treat one another with the utmost care and kindness. Their technology is top of the line! They were able to show me things I'd not seen before regarding my dental health. The type of service I received at Thomasson Dental office today is RARE, so I am writing this review before leaving the office so as not to delay getting the word out!
