We found the local area full of charm and enjoyed a kayak down the Withlacoochee River to Madison Blue Spring State Park and beyond to the next boat ramp. Irvin and Linda are incredible innkeepers who genuinely care about every guest's experience. We stayed in the "Patriot" room, and it was a beautiful room with Americana decor. The room was so comfortable, from the temperature to the bed. The home cooked breakfast in the morning was a real treat. We are in the kitchen and visited with Irvin and Linda, and we truly felt like we were home. I cannot rave enough about the Fairview Inn! This was our first bed and breakfast experience, and it has changed our minds about automatically booking a hotel. Highly recommend!

I know normally this is a quail-hunting lodge and hunting place (hence the name - a "covey" is apparently a group of quail) and I could see it being nice for that as well. There is a lot to see in the main house and it just has a very chill vibe. We ate dinner in the main house and I tell you, Cathy sure can cook! We enjoyed every meal she made. She even sells a cook book of her recipes! This really is a hidden gem! It is walking distance to down town Monticello which offers some great places to eat and shop. They have wonderful antique stores, a fabulous coffee shop and a little bakery with some of the best treats. It's really a nice little escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life
