Horrible experience they just take your hard earning money and charge for making copies of your files. They make mistakes and never take responsibility of anything. The lawyers don't even bother to read your files even the ones they submitted in court ."what a losers!" They should be reported to the ABA So they stop their lousy representation. read more

Blake Thompson will be so nice when at first trying to earn your business but dont be fooled, after you retain him, it's another story. He was not there to represent us in court but rather his associate. His secretary literally called what we we're asking for "stupid", just very unprofessional. Would never recommend him or his practice. I've learned a lot from this law firm practice and will be better prepared for the next attorney I hire. His office is a beautiful place but don't allow this to cloud your mind, his people are were not there to help or defend but rather take your money. It is hard to leave a positive view when you have to go through a divorce. However, never been through this nightmare experience and marriage of 30 years; and not really understanding the whole legal process I did feel I was well taken care of by Thompson & Thompson. Both Byron and Blake are professional and will go to bat for you! Divorce is an expensive endeavor no matter what. I really appreciated how they worked with me financially. I think the negative views are from those that don't get the whole process. Courts and judges are slow in this process and COVID did not help. Do not hire this attorney! Blake Thompson either doesn't know how divorce laws work and what options to seek remedy from or he just doesn't care about getting his client what is owed her. If you cannot work out the issues on your own, Blake will not help you. In the 5 long years Blake represented me, my case deteriorated drastically. Absolutely nothing got done and I have 34 months of arrears and debt to deal with now. I had to hire another attorney to get my issues resolved. He also turned me over occasionally to Mr. Valladolid and they both severely padded my billing. When I called them on it, they didn't bother to deny it, they said nothing at all in their defense, but then didn't take off the extra charges. His staff is very incompetent and make many mistakes and when you call them on it, simply in an attempt to get something, anything, actually done, they deny it, lie to you about it and get rude. These people could care less about their clients. They take off early every Friday so that day is useless. If I had the money, I would have left a long time ago, but Mr. Thompson left me totally destitute by not enforcing the court orders already in place. 5 years of total nothingness. He doesn't enforce court orders, he doesn't request orders where there is an obvious need, he doesn't do anything for you, he just sits on his hands and does not move the case forward at all. He is not a fighter, he just let my ex walk all over me with no consequences. He just wants to keep everyone on the never ending payroll to support is young family. I could do nothing else but slowly watch my life go downhill in his care. I tried everything to light a fire under them to motivate something, anything, to happen, it just made it worse. They are not going to move your case forward, no matter what you do. I hope my new attorney can dig me out of this giant black hole Blake Thomson and his staff have put me in. I had the best experience with Blake Thompson. I have read some of the posted reviews surrounding Mr. Thompson and could not disagree more. Divorce in an incredibly stressful time filled with varied emotions...sometimes hour to hour. Blake helped me navigate the process. I appreciated his directness in the various matters. I feel that Blake assisted in providing me with the best outcome possible. Yes, I did plenty of my own behind the scenes work. I believe if you want a positive outcome you also have to be your own advocate. I came to Blake with several ideas, some which he used and some which he did not believe would be a viable option. When we went to court he was superb. His specialty is litigation. Is it expensive...yes!! Will you incur debt in the process.....ummm...yes...hello, its a divorce...no one wins in this. Having said that, I believe I chose wisely when retaining Blake and would do it all over again with his services. The office staff was professional and accommodating. It is unfortunate that some have had bad experiences, but I thought I would add mine to balance things out. I retained Byron Thompson to handle my dissolution of marriage. I have been an executive many years, but rarely have I been more impressed with someone than when I met and consulted with Mr. Thompson. My former wife attempted to get bogus restraining orders and accuse me of domestic violence - a common tactic prompted by attorneys representing female clients. Not only did Mr. Thompson put my mind at ease, but we handled the hearing and ate our opponents for lunch. Byron Thompson is a complete professional. The man has presented before the Supreme Court of The United States....do you really need to know more? Everyone in court knows him and trust me when I tell you that having him at your side brings along instant credibility and respect from the judge and clerks. It's interesting how my previous review of this law office has somehow been removed. I originally hired Blake Thompson to be my attorney. After one 20 minute trial, he pawned me off to another attorney named Jeff Valladolid who was ill prepared, made promises to me in conference but then didn't bring them up in court. When it got to the point that we were going to have to part ways due to a lack of communications, I sent repeated requests to Blake Thompson who was the attorney I hired to represent me but he would even so much as call me back, His office it no longer representing me and the BAR association will be my next call about their lack pr professionalism and doing the old bait and switch with their clients and unreliable attorneys.. Now they want an additional $1900 from me and of which $400 if for incomplete phone calls on their behalf. Im sorry, but I didn't hire Mr. Valladolid, but Mr Blake Thompson and since I have paid your office $10,000 in retainer for Blake Thompson, I would like the services I pad for. I did not hire Mr Valladolid and never spoke to Blake Thompson about him handling my case. When I did try to voice my concerns, they filed a motion to be removed as counsel and still want money from me. Unbelievable. It is people like this that give attorneys bad names. I originally used yelp to find Thompson & Thompson the comment below from 2014 alarmed me, but after doing my research, and talking to friends who had used them I had to give them a chance. I came in to Thompson and Thompson for a consultation with Bryon Thompson he reassured me that my custody case would be a breeze. Mr. Thompson's knowledge and reassurance set the tone for my whole journey and I could not be more satisfied. He handed me off to Jeffery Valladolid who I sat down with a few days after hiring him. He is singularly professional, knowledgeable, honest, upfront, ethical and respectful. Mr. Valladolid took the time to explain every step of the way in complete detail. I felt comfortable enough to ask him questions because he would ALWAYS give me every single outcome or scenario(good and bad). I was never nervous or unsure in court. Jeffery was well prepared and extremely professional. He was able to help me gain full custody of my child. If your looking for someone who is knowledgeable and professional Jeffery is your guy. I hired Blake Thompson to represent me in court and the one and only time he appeared on my behalf, I was extremely pleased. After that, I was passed off to another attorney who did a horrible job. He ignored my requests to tell the courts of my ex-wife's court order violations, he did not provide me documentation that I repeatedly asked for and when he had difficulty connecting with me while I was recovering from major surgery, he filed paperwork to be relieved as counsel. I sent numerous emails and left messages for Blake Thompson to speak with me to clear up the matter but all I received was a letter which said he would not respond. It's to bad that one attorney can tarnish the image of the whole firm but it seems that did not care much for customer services and or were intimidated by the unprofessional and hostile tactics of my ex's attorney.
