Not only do they give to charity but they also give to their customers. They price their inventory pretty much at cost. They're not trying to inflate prices to pad their own pockets. Another thing that places them above their competitors is that they have every vehicle fully serviced before placing it for sale. They also attempt to make any repairs that are recommended at the time of servicing, such as, brake, belt replacement, wheel alignment, fluid flushes etc. They are honest with their customers and try to be accommodating to every customer as well. They leave you feeling confident about your purchase. Charity Auto Center is owned and solely operated by one man named Garry McDonald. Check out their website to read their mission statement and to view complete inventory as well. Even if you're not ib the market to buy a vehicle, I'd still recommend checking out the website. Garry McDonald is truly inspirational and a delight to do business with. From the moment I made contact with Garry I got a sense of how much he truly cares about his business and its purpose. The only two minor downsides I found was that because Garry is the only employee when I first arrived to his lot midday he was not there and the office was locked with a sign with his cell number ssking customers to call if assistance was needed. When I called him it took him approximately 15 minutes to return (the same amount of time he told me he'd be when I called) With all the great deals, I had no qualms about waiting as I'm sure most customers don't either. The second minor grievance is the stqndard $135 processing fee for all purchases he charges above and beyond the purchase price. But knowing that he's not trying to scam you out of money and that it potentially could be going to a good cause having to pay the additional fee wasn't as hard to swallow. For the record, I only came in contact with Charity Auto Center and Garry McDonald yesterday and they've already gotten my devoted business.

You are so excited you take your grandmother for a cruise in your new to you car that couldn't possibly fail, since the super honest salesman at shisties quality used autos promised you it won't! So you and grandma go to the ice cream social at the grange hall in the county over and all is well, you personally wipe grandma down of all the hot fudge to avoid getting any on your interior because, well this car is awesome!!! The guy at shisties promised!!! One last stop for depends and a giant bag of hard candy for grandma at the five and dime.....what's that sound???? What's that sickenly sweet smell???? Why does it sound like sasquatch is wood knocking under my hood???? Why did it die????? What's that green stuff pissing all over the ground below the radiator???? WHY WONT SHISTIES GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK?????????????????? Because you didn't buy from choice auto, that's why. I have never seen more professionalism at any car lot. After contacting them through their online message system we were surprised to receive a phone call minutes later on NEW YEARS DAY! Perry was nothing but exceptional to work with and due to work schedules he had personally delivered the vehicle to us (3 hours away over 2 summits in the winter on his day off with his wife!) exactly as described including personally going through the vehicle while on the phone and describing everything exactly the way it was. The level of honesty and professionalism was more than a breath of fresh air. In addition, Naomi was incredibly helpful and pleasant preparing everything for a seamless interaction. Typical turnaround time is between same day and 3 days for this service needed, this took over two weeks! There is a frame recall on certain models of Toyota Tacomas, as per Toyota's VIN checker, my Tacoma qualifies. My local dealership does not do the service anymore, so I had to drive 6 hours to Penticton to have the service done. I called ahead a week in advance (November 26) to book the appointment, so they know that I am coming. When I arrived on Dec 6th, Clint performed an inspection and confirmed my truck is eligible (well, of course it is!). He then informed me that he has to order in the kit. I was under the impression that they had the kit to perform the work and there would be no delay. I waited another week and received no call. On December 14th, I called Penticton Toyota to ask if the kit came in. Yes it came in but they didn't notify me. They informed me that they could get me in on December 20th, so another week! I told the receptionist that I am from out of town and I need my vehicle. She confirmed it would finished by December 17th. On December 17th I received NO communication. On the 18th, I called and asked for an update. The tech (Jon I believe his name is) said they have not applied the work needed, and it would be done by Monday (December 20th). The work order I received clearly shows to expedite work to have it finished by December 17th as I'm from out of town. I am very disappointed in the turnaround time, and having to spend over $2000 in hotels due to Penticton Toyota taking so long. I wish I would have gone to a different dealership that respected me and my time. They also removed my review from Google! This happened to other people too. Read the other 1 star reviews, this dealership has a pattern of not respecting people's time and providing terrible service to vehicles.

I was visiting the area when my Dodge Ram broke down. My truck was towed to the facility after…read morehours. I had my 5th wheel RV in the veterans RV park and was leaving that day. The shop took care of me and was able to get my truck in quickly. They also had all the parts needed. They were able to have the work completed quickly and I was back on the road by noon. I received great service from Luis and he and his crew did a great job. The shop is clean and very organized. I am very happy with my experience and would recommend them should you need service or repairs.
