We purchased a used motorcycle in February 2026 and were strongly encouraged to buy the extended warranty for protection against major repairs. In June, while attending an event in North Carolina, the clutch failed, leaving us stranded. An authorized Harley-Davidson dealership advised the clutch had likely been failing before we purchased the bike and should have been identified during inspection. However, our warranty claim was denied because the clutch had allegedly been repaired by a non-Harley shop before our ownership. We had no way of knowing the bike's repair history, yet we paid for a warranty that offered no protection, forcing us to spend $1,800 out of pocket. This experience has left us feeling misled and deeply disappointed in the Harley-Davidson brand.
