Thompson's Furniture is the best of the best. They carried high quality furniture and the service was above and beyond what I found anywhere else. You can tell they truly enjoy what they do and are interested in providing the customer with the best experience. I bought a bed from them with the intention of buying a bedroom set. The sales person was honest with me about what that would entail and I eventually just decided on a mattress but he never pressured me into buying more. The delivery was fast and the people delivering it were polite, professional and courteous of my home. It was so painless. Thompson even sent me a note in the mail thanking me for my purchase and congratulating me on my new job. I would recommend them any day of the week!! read more

Beautiful furniture - mostly Indiana-made. We love that our money stayed local AND furnished our home beautifully. After driving from Indianapolis to a family run furniture store in Columbus Indiana we found exactly what we wanted. We purchased, they loaded and we were done within 20 minutes. It's hard to find good quality (i.e., not made in China) furniture period, much less when you're in Columbus, IN, but Thompson Furniture definitely stands out. I drove by their store a million times and completely ignored it because the building makes it look like another dumpy furniture store. I couldn't have been more wrong. Thompson sells beautiful furniture, and a lot of it is made right there in Indiana. I was very impressed with their selection...in fact, I went from being frustrated by not being able to find furniture that I actually liked to finding Thompson's and not being able to make up my mind on what I wanted. The store is managed well, they're super helpful, and they're even willing to negotiate price. You end up paying a bit more to get a piece from Thompson's but you can be damn sure it's not made in China, it's quality, and it's going to last. I wish that I had one of these stores closer to my home. A+ read more
