I just completed a miserable experience with Tabori Landscaping. We absolutely did not receive the…read morevalue for the $4,200 we paid. It was awful from start to finish. I hold owner Kevin singularly responsible, as he was awful to deal with. My wife and I asked the company to perform a number of tasks in our front and back yards. I should have known to stop the project before it started when Kevin couldn't even deliver an estimate on his timeline and I had to chase him to get it. His estimate seemed reasonable at the time if he had planned to send a few crew members to knock it out in a timely fashion. While weather delays were certainly not his fault, he primarily sent one excellent worker to do most of the job by himself. Kevin made token appearances, as did a few other people. I had to constantly repeat myself to Kevin throughout the project, who failed to ever do what he said he was going to do when he said he was going to do it. His constant excuse-making and bogus apologies became laughable. Even with the weather, it shouldn't have taken this long to weed our front garden, remove a relatively small amount of grass and replace it with weedblock and mulch. I had to constantly chase Kevin to get things done. He even declared the project over without consulting with me -- even though the mulch he put down in the back (most of it free to him because our neighbor gave us theirs) was way too thin to do the job. He had told me clearly that multiple loads of mulch were included in the price -- mulch he was supposed to add in addition to my neighbor's pile. Tabori showed up at what they thought was the end with a pitiful pickup truck of mulch, which wasn't thick enough to even walk on without sliding on the weedblock. I had to demand he return with more, which his company finally did today. I will never use this company again. Despite the one excellent worker, Kevin was horrendous to deal with from start to finish. I've never written a Yelp review this negative, but I'd hate to see anybody waste their time and money the way we did. Kevin made this a stressful pain in the neck from start to finish -- and I've communicated that to him directly twice.

Tabori came out with very little notice, and fixed everything! They also helped to prune back a couple of my shrubs that were dying, and also hauled out some old junk. The Tabori crews are professional, polite, and communicative. Their prices are very affordable. I love the added benefit of working with a small family run local business! Nor are they listed on the Virginia DPOR site as having an active contractor's license. Steer clear of this company. Note: This company has an unanswered complaint registered with the Better Business Bureau in 2018

Design- Our design excellently blends into our overall property and it really elevates our smallish yard. For our requests to revise or samples of material, Tony worked hard to ensure we had many options that would work with our vision. During certain points we just followed Tony's advice. Execution- A great design needs to be executed by the right workers and NOVA LC certainly does have amazing workers. The workers carried out the design better than the design on paper. We had a specific diagonal pattern on our patio and the workers laid out the pieces multiple times to ensure the design was right. Tony also visited the worksite daily, sometimes multiple times in a day to ensure progress. When things was rescheduled, Tony or his project manager kept us posted on when things will happen. The workers are always courteous and kept the job site pretty organized and clean; they minimized the impact on us living there. Price- NOVA LC is definitely a great value. If you are looking for the lowest price then this company is not for you. If you are looking for something that lasts a long time and stays high quality then definitely give them a call.
