Before finding Glendale Collision, I took the bus to several other collision centers in the Glendale area. Unfortunately, they all turned me away because of the size of the vehicle and the complexity of the bumper. I was told the bumper was most likely custom and that the repair could be difficult and expensive. Most places didn't even want to look into possible solutions and instead recommended that I find an RV repair shop, which would have meant traveling 30+ miles outside of Glendale. Then I called Glendale Collision and spoke with Armen, and the experience was completely different from the start. Armen was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional. He wasn't fazed at all by the size of the bus or the custom bumper. Instead of telling me why it couldn't be done, he immediately started figuring out how he could help. I was also working with a very tight deadline and needed the bus repaired before the end of the month. Armen told me, "No problem," and he delivered! He worked directly with our insurance company to help expedite everything and kept the process moving. In only about two weeks, our bus was repaired and ready for pickup! I hit up numerous auto body shops and got various quotes. Todd gave one of the most reasonable estimates right off the bat. This was all via yelp photos and videos. When I was deciding between a couple of places that also had great reviews and similar initial estimates, I decided to bring the car in to some shops so they could give me firm numbers on what the cost would be. It is hard to evaluate the extent of the damage just from the photos. As expected, the initial photos I sent didn't do the damage justice and the quotes I had received on yelp were all increased. One place DOUBLED their initial quote. However, Todd's quote only increased to a few hundred more plus he was the ONLY one to fully explain why the change and exactly what work was required to repair each bit of damage. I take pride in my ability to read a person and Todd gave me good vibes right off the bat, that were solidified as we talked more during the drop off/inspection. As a woman going into an auto body shop it's easy to be dismissed as someone who knows nothing about cars and would have zero idea if they were being ripped off or taken advantage of. I did not worry about this at all with Todd! He was not playing any games, and he made it super clear he is just someone who genuinely loves cars and treats his work on them like an artist would a painting. Even though it was a minor cosmetic damage, their service from start to finish was super painless and easy to work with. The scheduling coordinator (Catherine) reached out to me soon as I designated them as my desired shop from the insurance company's database. The initial assessment (Robert/Vartan) were professional accompanied by explanation of the process and estimated repair time. All throughout the repair process, I received multiple updates both from the scheduling coordinator and the automated system. In the end, the car was done ahead of schedule. The paint matching was spot on from what I can tell.
