I am grateful to be able to write such a positive review regarding my experience with Edgar, the manager of GAD Auto Body Shop. He was polite, intelligent, assessed the problem with my Mercedes left mirror, offered to fix it on the spot, explained the technical problem to one of his staff. The staff person had it fixed within 15 minutes and neither of them wanted to charge me. That's unusal in LA to receive a solution to a problem--one that could have cost a lot of money at another place--and not be charged. What I appreciated also was that both Daisy and Judy were helpful in having me send the pictures first, then come in. Arthur stood out in the street to help me back out of their driveway onto San Fernando. They are located at a curve, so it's easy to pass by the first time, then U-turn back turning right into their driveway to the left of the office. More work being done on full bodies of cars behiind. If you're here checking for reviews you've come to the right spot. Most body shops will lie to you and not let you see their work which ends up them doing the wrong job by using bondo to repair your auto body. Edgar will never do that and will let you see his work and tell you straight out. It's more expensive but it is the right way to do the job and he will always give you the choice on the type of paint you want to use. It's best to go with OEM color code. Like I said it's pricey but he will never over charge you and give you a fair price, take my word for it. I called in advance and made an appointment at this auto repair shop. I explained the problem, and they told me they would take care of everything. However, when I arrived, they said they had no record of my appointment. The mechanic looked at my car and said he didn't know anything about the issue. He connected his computer to my car, reset all the settings in my car's computer, and after that, a bunch of warning lights turned on. When I asked why all these lights appeared, he started Googling for an answer! Then he told me: "Just drive around for a while and the lights will turn off." Of course, the lights never turned off. Not only did they fail to fix the original problem, they actually made everything worse. When I went to another place, they told me that someone had reset all my car's settings through the computer! At the second place, they were able to fix everything properly. This shop works unprofessionally. I do not recommend this place! read more

I just wanted to thank the guys at GAD auto body shop! I parked my car, and as I was pulling out, my front bumper got caught on the curb. The liner was dragging. I drove over to GAD, and they said that they would take care of me. The man went back and got some fasteners and worked under the car for about 20 minutes, and put things back in place! It allowed me to get on the freeway and drive in to the office.
