Advanced Auto Care failed to properly diagnose my vehicle and instead provided incorrect and misleading information without running a thorough diagnostic check. There was no evidence-based explanation -- just assumptions presented as facts. The result was a complete misdiagnosis that cost me time and money. I left feeling lied to and taken advantage of. A professional repair shop should rely on diagnostic data, not guesswork. After this experience, I find it hard to believe the overwhelmingly positive reviews. They do not align with the level of service, honesty, or competence I personally experienced. I really cannot say enough amazing things about this auto care shop. I had a terrible smell in my car, and I called Nick and he told me to come right in. Even though they were busy, he personally helped me and almost immediately found a dead rats (so gross- I know) under an exterior plastic piece of my model X. I came to get a quote for my Civic SI and I could tell this place will over charge you to have your vehicle fix for example just a oil change for $60 if you bring your own oil and filter also they never called me to get a quote to get my shocks replaced because they knew that I was aware of what a fair price should be when getting a certain type of repair for you vehicle. Had my check engine light turn on in the middle of a busy holiday weekend, after looking online I found Advanced Auto on Wilson and the reviews seemed good enough and wow let me just say the service was nothing short of incredible! Of course I thought the worst and figured this would set me back a good amount but Nick and his team were extremely professional and honest. I cant emphasize the world honest enough as it hadn't dawned on me that I may need an oil change even though I changed it in the summer I had driven quite a bit to SF, SB, San Diego and so forth...Nick and his guys could have easily added on a few extra things such as my cam shaft sensor and anything else that may have needed fixing and I wouldn't have been none the wiser and gladly have paid, but no the guy was honest, timely and transparent. Hard to find these days in any line of work let alone mechanic shops, will be referring friends and family here over anywhere else especially those price gauging dealership service centers. Took in my 2017 Lexus RX450H for some electrical work due to squirrels getting to the engine and chewing the wires connecting to the ignition coil connector #6. Before having Ara work on the car, I reached out to both another repair shop and Glendale Lexus and got very confusing responses. The dealership wanted to change the entire wires system for an estimated cost of $2500. The other local repair shop wanted to inspect it and get the insurance involvement. However, when I ran the ODB2 scanner and it only reported an issue with the P0356. So I ended up giving my business to AAS and was very happy with the quality, responsiveness, and value. If you're local to the Glendale and the surrounding area, I highly recommended this establishment. read more

Not sure how these guys have 5 stars... I took my car here with a bad alternator and they put in a brand new denso and that one broke in like a month. Then they installed the new one under warranty and charged me for the labor a second time. They also took apart my whole dash board to figure out the ac problem and fixed nothing also charging me the labor. I was still having problems with the alternator and went back to my original mechanic who found the had install incorrectly and stripped a main bolt on the second new alternator. My original and much more honest mechanic helped me get another alternator installed properly and fix my ac by putting the proper amount of ac fluid in. Advanced auto just overloaded the fluid in my ac, it needed no fixing or taking apart my whole dashboard. My car runs great now no thanks to these guys. This was over a year ago but I came across them again on yelp and couldn't understand how they have 5 stars. read more

These guys are legit, man. I needed new wheel studs installed. I could've done it myself but one of the bolts on the calipers wasn't moving and I couldn't remove it. I called around Glendale from America's Tire to multiple auto shops and was surprised they didn't do wheel stud replacement. Then I called Advanced Auto Care and spoke to Nick. He said,"bring it in." I had a good feeling about this shop because Nick had a no nonsense attitude and seemed like a legit guy. Brought it in and I told them what I needed and that I'll be back. Nick replied,"No stick around, it will be quick." Even with 2 cars already being worked on in their docks, he had one of his guys take care of my car right away. In about an hour, my car was ready. I was impressed. I thought for sure it would take longer being that 15 out of my 20 wheel studs needed to be replaced. I'm very happy I found this shop. Firstly, Nick, the owner, is an awesome person. Not only did he save my hundreds of dollars from a misdiagnosis, but he was kind enough to help me out of a crap situation. I was told that my started needed to be replaced: I had just found a new job from having lost work due to the pandemic so time, money and resources were tight. My car was having trouble starting before my shift so I was calling around auto repair shops trying to get quotes and info, Nick's was the 3rd on the list. I ask him to quote the labor and parts, always with German cars there's specific detailed parts that are MORE expensive! So I have to call the dealership to find out the specs, call Nick back for an accurate quote. I give him my sob story and ask him if I can pay for the work in installments and then he has the right idea to ask how sure I am that I need a need starter. Some guy working at O'Riley's told me I need it after checking my car. So he just tells me to just stop by and he'll check it out before he starts ordering parts. Thankfully I get my car to start, he checks it out FOR FREE, then tells me to turn it on- doesn't even need to look under the hood! He just listened to it, this man KNOWS his shit! He gave me a very competitive quote for a routine oil &filter change and offered to do the work immediately. So an hour later, I delivered my Mazda CX-5 to the shop where Nick greeted me, spec'd the recommended oil then got the job going.
