UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE 2006 GMC Sierra 1500…read more We met Ken Abeita, owner, and talked with him regarding replacing our cracked windshield and about how our drive side front power window goes up very slowly at times. He said he can order the specific OEM windshield we wanted and the intermittent power window issue is due to a motor-regulator going bad. He said he can repair both and instructed us to get the motor-regulator assembly from O'Reilly Auto Parts. We set an appointment for Saturday, 01/27/24 at 10:00 am. On Saturday we arrived at 10:00 am to find the bay doors shut and the office door barred close. We waited 15 minutes and no one came to the shop. We first called Ken and did not get an answer. We then texted him and still no response. At this point we decided to drive around town and returned 30 minutes later to still find the shop closed. We drove the 25 minutes one way back home. Once back home, I noticed a text response from Ken about one hour to one and half-hour later from whence we texted him. It stated that he was sorry, but an emergency came and to contact him to reschedule. On the following Monday, 01/29, I called hime and asked hime if everything was OK regarding the emergency (no response from Ken) and then rescheduled our appointment for Wednesday, 01/31/at 11:00 am. I asked him if he could work with us since Saturday turned into an inconvenience for us. He gave us a generous discount as compensation. This is what happened next: 1. Arrive at Abeita Glass Wednesday at 11:00 am. Ken said due to the bad weather parts for the appointment before me arrived from Albuquerque late. He asked me if could come back hour or hour and half later. 2. I get back to Abeita Glass at noon. Ken said his noon appointment arrived and will have to work on that first. I said to him that I have an 11:00 am slot and should go first. He apologized and asked if I could reschedule. I just said, "that is not going to happen." I did not pursue it since he did not know common courtesy that it was not worth doing business here. We were stiffed once maybe even twice. I cannot recommend this shop for any type of work.

I noticed a problem with the vehicle I hadn't seen until just before his arrival. I called AAA back requesting a tow to a local shop. The Jeep dealership had permanently closed so we were in a quandary where to go. We finally decided on Burnout Boys Garage. The tow driver was very careful as we followed him to the garage. He went an extra exit to turn around due to a low bridge he wasn't sure we would fit under! Thanks Matt! They treated us very well.

Mom's Mountaineer needed transmission service and I called all around. Well, these guys have a great reputation locally, small shop. They were honest and kept their to estimate. I'll be sending all the relatives and friends in the area to them. Get there early, 8:30am, to get the best service. Business stacks up fast for them, for good reason. Second visit, my Jeep Grand Cherokee overheated on the way out to Vegas. I had it towed to Pep Boys, as it was the weekend. Pep Boys ran an engine block test and pressure tested the cooling system. But it still overheated slowly. They wanted $600 to replace the upper radiator hose, change the thermostat and do a flush and fill of the cooling system. I waited until Monday to limp down to Leyba's to get their opinion. They confirmed what Pep Boys found. They also said there was nothing moving in or out of the radiator. The estimate was $590 for everything Pep Boys wanted to do plus a whole new radiator. So those are decent prices and they honestly assessed the situation. Eventually, I took the Jeep to a friend's place to try and fix it myself, replaced the top hose, thermostat, and filtered the coolant, all fixed. But again, the service was honest, friendly, and quick. By the way, the location on the Yelp map is incorrect the first time. Re-verify their location by calling them before try to find them. Hopefully, Yelp will make the appropriate changes. Update: I submitted the updated location and displayed hours from the storefront.
