5 hour round during the week. No marshals. My cart GPS gave a warning all day that our group was behind. Finally once we were 25 minutes behind we got a warning we would get a visit from the marshal!!! I could have only wished!!!!! The problem was 3-4 groups in front of us so anyone behind us was also 5hour plus round. Again not on the weekend. Bar was understaffed. No apologies or even eye contact. WHOs in charge here??? Clearly nobody that cared. Only way I'm back is free food and free golf and even with that I'd still have to think about it long and hard. Beautiful golf course that I had the opportunity to visit for a wedding and reception. The fall colors were fantastic for creating memorable photos. The reception was indoors which has a very sizable bar and the service was fantastic. Dinner was great with several options to choose from prior. Overall a great place for a wedding. read more

All I can say is if the bison burger is on the menu, it's excellent! I also love their cheese curds, which are hand dipped. Both of these items are absolutely delicious! I'd even go so far as to state they are craveable! The bar is very beautiful and a great place to sit and have a drink. The view of you choose to sit outside is magnificent! Extremely relaxing. The customer service is excellent! I thought something was missing on my order, and I called and they wrote it down to give me another of the item and a couple months later when I called, they made it. I went in, and apparently I needed to ask for the "missing" items because they don't usually come with the bison burger. They still replaced it, and gave me some extra items that I ordered and though I expected to pay for those extras, they included them free of charge! They let me know to ask for the things I thought were missing, and I loved that even though it was MY mistake they did that for me. They were extremely cheerful and matter of fact about it as well, so I didn't feel like a Karen because of it. I used to love this place but I haven't been here in a while. It has really changed. The menu is slimmed down and the quality has done the same. The "grilled" chicken wings are not grilled, but fried. part of the order was off. The manage did come out but was unapologetic and didn't know the menu. The waitress was nice so that was a plus. If I could give it zero stars I would. absolutely horrible experience while trying to book my wedding there. We went on a tour and everything was great, we were ready to bring the money in for the deposit when suddenly no one knows how to return any calls, texts, emails, etc. we reached out multiple times and no one, not even the GM returned my calls. I talked to HR and they didn't even get back to me. I understand everyone is short staffed but a simple text or call is all I needed. Two stars because of the bartender. Came for restaurant week on 9.11 for lunch. For apps, Chicken Dumpling Soup and Bison Meatball. Both were disgusting. My Bison meatball was COLD, almost frozen in the middle. Could not eat. Soup was so salty that we could not eat it. Ordered the burgers and fries. Ordered med rare. Came out completely cooked and hard to chew into. How do you mess up a burger?! Then dessert was the Apple Tart and Pound Cake. Let me tell you, that the pound cake was so dense and hard, that i broke my plastic fork on it. The Tart was completely broken in pieces and was disgusting. I would never eat a meal here. Beautiful venue but you need to fire your chef and get a new one. Considering this is the golf course of the GB Packers, that you would have better food. read more

This was my mom's choice for her birthday dinner and it was a fantastic choice. We had a reservation so getting seated wasn't a problem. They had a specials menu as well as their normal menu. I ordered the Filet Mignon which came with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables (broccoli), your choice of mushrooms and onions or blue cheese crumbles on top, and a salad to start. The filet was the most tender and well seasoned steak I've had in a long time! The blue cheese crumbles were just lightly browned on top and added that extra something. I normally steer clear of veggies at restaurants because they tend to be mushy, but the broccoli was perfectly done. Cooked, but still crisp. The potatoes were the only thing I wasn't crazy about, but by the time I got to them I was so full it didn't really matter. It was a pricey dinner, but for what we got it was totally worth it! read more

We had my sisters wedding here. The venue was beautiful, the food was great, and the waiters were amazing. Our wedding coordinator, on the other hand, was absolutely terrible. We could never find her, she was rude when we asked her questions, she did absolutely no coordinating. We didn't know what we were supposed to be doing the entire day and had to wing the whole thing. Luckily, it turned out okay thanks to help from other people and our photographer. The few weeks leading up to the wedding, there was nothing but issues with her. There was little communication, she DOUBLED drink prices a week before, and made many changes. It was very frustrating having little to no help the day of, making everyone, especially the bride, very upset. read more

Stopped in for a graduation party for a family member. When seated our table of about 40 got our plates of food in random order. All the name tags where labeled with what we had all pre-ordered for the party but we were each asked numerous times by multiple people if this plate of food was ours. It got a bit annoying. Once the food was finally in front of us all it was just okay. The person sitting next to me had a cold philly cheesecake sandwich and my chicken wrap could have used a dressing in it or some sort of sauce. It was dry in constancy. The bloody mary I had was super spicy and I was glad I got a little beer to cut through all that heat. The cajun fries on my plate were warm and had good flavor. 7pm Took several minutes to get a menu. Once we got a menu and ordered drinks, the waiter brought us a white wine when we ordered merlot. Took five minutes to get a glass of Merlot. 7:20 finally able to put in our order 7:50 told that our food was running behind--because of the thick steaks... 8:00 finally got our food an hour after we got seated. My mom's veggies were cold and my dad's veggies were a garnish serving rather than a main side serving. My husband's meat pizza was alright, but not that great, rated maybe a 2 or 3. My margherita pizza was not impressive--not flavorful, a couple basil crumbs, unripe tomatoes, and mozzarella was sad. On top of that it was barely warm. Waste of $10 for an 8 inch untasty pizza. The restaurant was not busy at all, with only a few other tables eating, and seemed like more staff than people eating. Overall, not worth your time or money. read more

Thornberry Creek at Oneida is a fantastic place to play a round; the clubhouse staff is friendly and the drink carts come 'round quite often. For a casual round, I'd suggest the 9-hole course as even on the nicest day with a full house no one will pressure your pace. As a longtime, not-so-great golfer, I do take issue with the placement of the red tees on this course. They are laughingly easy. That may be to your liking. For more serious golfers, the 18-hole course is superb. It's been awhile since I've played this one, so I'll leave a review for a later update. Food: The restaurant is much improved, though still needs a bit of work. I claimed they had absolutely terrible service on Foursquare, which was very true at the time, but they have since made improvements. Overall, the food is quite good. The wood-fired pizzas are the best, other items can be hit or miss. The specials are recession-friendly, including a drink for the cost of your golf score on 18 holes. Thornberry's gigantic bar is lined with TVs and on NFL Sundays their brunch is a nice complement to the Packer game. You needn't even ask for extra spice in the Bloody. Atmosphere: Any day of the year you'll find a nice, not-overly-intrusive atmosphere for avid sports fans. This can be good if you want to be left alone with your suds and your game, but bad once the last dregs of beer are drained and you're looking for a refill. Occasionally, on a Friday or Saturday night you'll see tuxedo-dudded gentlemen ambling in from Thornberry's lovely event space as they escape the bridesmaids and dance floor for a quick check of the box score. I've played Thornberry quite a few times both on the "old" course and the Championship. Both have great qualities but one bad shot will put you in the doghouse if your not careful. The Clubhouse has a very friendly staff and there isn't anything on the menu that disappoints. Try the large nachos at the bar with a Fat Tire (need a friend to help eat them) or go on Thursdays for the All You Can Eat Ribs. Won't be sorry... read more

Absolutely horrendous service. It was probably the worst service I have ever had. I ordered a side of fries and a sprite. The fries came out fine and on time. The sprite on the other time did not come that way. I expected to be served the sprite right away since I was at the bar but it seemed like he ignored us. We waited for 10 minutes as he served others and ignored us. Finally we had to interrupt and ask for our sprite. He said he would then bring it to us and then went and served others. 5 minutes later he gave us the sprite and did not apologize at all, he just threw them on the table and walked away. I was very mad until I asked for a refill and another bartender served us immediately and was very kind. The server we had originally was extremely bad and did not seem like he was in the mood to serve us. I will never be coming back to the restaurant. read more

Tired the bar and restaurant for the first time tonight. We moved nearby earlier this year and acknowledge we are not members. Planned to have drinks and try the fish but never got to the second part because of the terrible service. We sat at a table and they seemed to have table service. However, no one stopped at our table (were serving nearby tables) so went to the bar. And waited a full 20 minutes for anyone to take a drink order. You can always tell when servers don't want to serve because they walk by with their heads down so you don't waive them down. It was so bad that a "regular", a woman who said she was on the board, came over to apologize for my having to wait 20 minutes. Finally got drinks and even asked for a menu, thinking the slow service was a speed bump (there appeared to be 4 servers that seemed sufficient for the crowd). Anyway, got our drinks and planned to order dinner. Again zero service to our table so went to the bar. After another excessive wait decided enough was enough so settled our beer and left. Disappointing since we so much wanted to like this place. They seemed to serve their regulars but apparently if you were not one of them, forget it. One mile away with limited options nearby; we will not be back. read more

Ordered two half a roasted chicken dinners to go. One of the worst meals ever. I don't write many reviews but this was so bad that I have to. All the flavor in the chicken was just in the breading. No flavor in the chicken itself. Potatoes were cold and no flavor there either. Instant potatoes have flavor at least. Cole slaw was fresh but no flavor either. What the heck?!? Fried bread? Man it was so soaked in oil that it dripped and you could squeeze oil out. Disgusting This by far was one of the worst meals I've ever had. Definitely will not be eating/going there again! Thornberry Creek is probably the best conditioned and "nicest" public course in Green Bay. Depending on the tees you play there's a challenge for every skill level. There's also a nice variety of holes that require some amount of shot making. The food in the bar is pretty good as well. The only down sides, the course is pricey, and you really have to use a cart. There's some very long walks from greens to tee box if you don't take a cart. All that said I jump at playing the course whenever I get a chance to. read more

They actually gave us a better rate for our round because of an early bird cancellation! Impeccable customer service! The course itself was in amazing shape. Greens rolled true and fast. We ate at the restaurant on Saturday night June 17. When we got there, there was only a table of 6. They got their food shortly after. We ordered , waited 45 minutes to get our food. 2 of the orders were wrong, I ordered the salmon, with risotto and garlic green beans. the risotto was like eating paste and the green beans had so much garlic on we couldn't even eat it. 2 others at our table had the same thing. Nobody at or table of 11 was happy with the meal they were served. We have always enjoyed eating there in the past, but will probably not be coming back .Especially when it was almost empty and took 45 minutes to get our food. read more

Ordered the game day nachos with ground beef. They came out with steak meat and no ground beef. Also came out with no sour cream as the menu stated. Was charged for the steak which is another $4.50 on top of $15.99. The ground beef topping for the nachos had hardly any flavor as well. It was like a few scoops of ground beef on top of the nachos but no taco flavor. The chicken and rice soup was tasty as were the tator tots. Would not recommend the overpriced nachos. read more

Bracket night at the restaurant was an awful experience! It was advertised heavily so you would think that they would have been prepared based on prior experience of having many participants. Service was exceptionally slow and after 2 hours and finally getting our waitresses attention, we ask for our bill and to cash out. We never did receive the pizza, don't think she turned in the order! With all the Hype of the LPGA, you would expect more. I've been going to thornberry since I was 5 years old and I've never had worse service here in my life. Our waiter was rude when talking to us and seemed like we were a waste of his time when we ordered. Before we ordered, we had arrived first at the bar where there were already a couple of gentleman drinking there, he continued to serve people arriving after us until after about 15 minutes he came over. At first sentence he seemed like he would rather do anything else in the world then serve us to. He didn't talk to us about anything and seemed almost irate that we were ordering fries and a sprite. Now at this point my friend and I had gotten our fries but he never delivered us our sprites. We just assumed that eventually he would give them to us but he never did after we had paid for them. We went to get our drinks but we were continued to be ignored until I interrupted him. He acted with the same annoyed attitude. He said he would bring them over and so we waited for 10 minutes before he came with them after he got done serving several people, who again, arrived after my friend and I did. The thing that really made us mad was that he never apologized. The worst waiter I've ever had. read more

Horrible. Terrible. We ordered after waiting 15 minutes for a waiter. He took our order and we never saw him again. Found the manager to ask about our order. He never came back to update us on what was going on. We had nothing left to drink - not even water. After an hour we ended up walking out. No food! Worst service ( or nonservice) I have had in my 62 years of eating out in any city. Do not waste your time I can tell you the service is the worst yet.
