We have been here several times and always have a great time. The beer is exceptional and the flights are fun to figure out what you like. The last time we went at 2pm on a Thursday during a heat wave in the summer. It was not busy. we had been out running errands and stopped in for a quick beer and appetizer. Attended a corporate function in the private party room (towards back of restaurant). Hinterland is the type of place where you can be super casual but also enjoy a more elevated dining experience. The main dining room can get very loud on busy nights so I appreciated the more closed off space for a large dinner event. The caveat being we received spotty service - for example, water pitchers were set in the corner and you had to get up to pour your own water. At minimum, it would've been better to just leave pitchers on the table directly for faster access. Food was hit or miss. While we loved the appetizers, half of our table found their main entrees to be MEH. For example, my halibut arrived warm but the curry was room temperature. My colleague said her burger was one of the worst she's had. My other colleague said his steak was mediocre. People who ordered pizza loved it. An unfortunate mixed bag given the lively environment and nice ambiance. I'd come back again to give it another try because the menu rotates enough where I'm sure I'll land on some better food options next time. read more

This review does not reflect packers game experiences, though I'm sure those are also great. We've been to hinterland a few times. The food is solid and so is the beer (blueberry wheat ftw!). We recently had dinner here and the meal was great - we got cheese curds (honestly solid), beet salad (different and fresh), and the Quattro formaggi pizza (also delish). I've had fries here before and those are pretty good as well. Overall the vibe inside is cozy, love the wood fire! Food and drinks solid! And service was great! This brewery/restaurant has exceptional house beers and really great food. It does not, however, sell Spotted Cow beer by New Glarus Brewing Co. That made sense to me after I tried ordering it and they said they only sell their house beers. You won't miss it after trying one. The food here is great. I started out with the cheese curds and also tried the sausage plate, chicken sandwich, and pizza. The cheese curds are a must, of course! The chicken sandwich and the pizza will be hard to stay away from the next time I'm here. The service is surprisingly great and fast. I say surprising because there must have been 500+ people between those sitting inside and about, and those just getting beers and food to go for the festivities outside. It's a wild place before and after games, but also feels like the place to go to. I will be back for more of the food and to try different house beers. read more

Honestly. I try to visit Hinterland each time I visit. Every time I enjoy a meal and a brew and am never disappointed. Usually breweries are good at brewing beer OR making food. It's a rare find when they crush both! This ragu was made with homemade bucatini (love this pasta) and the pasta has a lovely chewiness to it that makes it the ultimate comfort food. The sauce is complex (definitely not canned sauce) and has a wonderful range of flavors with a hint of heat but absolutely delicious. I am dining alone but you could easily share this especially if you order a salad to share. I love this place and they never disappoint. We decided to have a late lunch while enjoying Title Town prior to an evening Packer Game, so it was busy at 2pm. We were told it would be a 30 to 45 minute wait, so we enjoyed a beer in the sun while waiting. After a 30 minute wait we were texted that our table was ready. We had a pleasant attentive server and the decor was average modern brew pub. We started with an order of fried cheese curds which were very good. I normally prefer cheddar, but these were mozzarella with a light breading and they were just right, and plenty for an app for 2. I had a double cheeseburger with a side of chips which was very good. We loved EVERY thing we ate here! We started with some shrimp and pork belly and it came with grits (oh so yum) and some sort of little kale salad that was AMAZING. The cheese curds we got were soooo tasty, too! Our kids had kids meals (grilled cheese and cheese pizza) and they were happy with their meal - their only complaint was that it really was very plain. I know some kids desire that but our kids wished for a little more spice or flavor. My husband and I got the brisket chili and it was wonderful and our pizza was great as well! We had the pizza with chicken and peppers and brussel sprouts and it was a really unique pairing! Most importantly the Coke we ordered was crispy and delicious!!! :) Our waitress was lovely and our entire time - so helpful and friendly. They had burrata on the menu, so I had to get it! Just keep in mind that the burrata is an appetizer meant to be shared with two or more people. That didn't stop me from devouring the entire thing by myself, which was a platter of burrata, cured meat and asparagus, with bread crumbs sprinkled on top. The burrata is a seasonal offering, so you may or may not find it on the menu when you visit. I rounded out my plate of cheese and meat with a Caesar salad, which was perfect and cold, with freshly grated parmesan. I visited Hinterland Brewery with a few food-loving friends, so I got to taste a few other menu items, and I especially loved the cheese curds. When in Wisconsin, you must eat as many cheese curds as you can. These ones were great: nicely fried and had that squeaky chew when you bite. An order of curds are served with ranch dressing. Hinterland Brewery is located in Titletown, across the street from Lambeau Stadium. The restaurant is big and open, with tall windows that look out onto Titletown, so you can see the action happening while you dine. read more

Very slow service even though it was pretty empty. Burger was burned crisp black. Pizza was oily and just terrible. Fruit flies around the table indoors is not a good sign... they were all over our food and drinks. Concerned that some older reviews mentioned all the flies so this is a problem. read more

My second review--though I'll stick with three stars--it's a weak three stars in a minor constellation. This visit I went with the pulled pork sandwich with fries (+$3). The sandwich was fine, lots of pork, a decent slaw, stacked high on a brioche bun. The fries, however, were cold, pretty much room temperature. Based on the quality of the sandwich, the fries didn't die on the pass -- they were past prime when plated. Poor coordination in the kitchen. I should have sent them back, but the wait staff was changing shifts and we didn't see a server until the next one introduced herself and indicated she was taking over our table. So it goes. I'd like to give a higher rating because I actually enjoy the restaurant, their food (for the most part), and their beer, but basic flaws are holding them back. read more

My husband and I were in town for a Packers game and on our first day in town we thought we would splurge on dinner. He was adamant about trying at least one brewery while we were in town and this happen to be located right next to Lambeau field. Not only was the building nice to look at from the outside, inside it had a cosy feel to it. There was a fire place and it had glass garage style doors so it was great to be able to dine inside but have a perfect view of the outdoors. Between the hosts and the servers, everyone was very kind and efficient. I believe because they partner with local farms, their menu changes and as a brewery I'm sure the beer as well. Although their food menu may seem small, I find that appealing because it would mean they really put a lot of effort in what they make. I ended up ordering the pot roast because it's chilly and I wanted something hearty after our flight. My husband ordered the ribeye and got himself something from the tap (which I remembered the name). For our appetizers we had to have the cheese curds. I normally don't finish my food while traveling, especially after a flight but I devoured my meal. My husband felt normally he gets skimped when ordering a ribeye but he actually got full and had leftovers! He really enjoyed his drink and if he wasn't so full would've gotten a second. The price is on the high end but I feel you get your money's worth. You're actually filled, the food quality is great, and the service was nice. Massive brewery in the Titletown area. We came by because it was close to Lambeau and it popped up as a popular location. When we came it the place was rammed and they mentioned potentially over an hour wait but we could check upstairs if there was room. We popped up and low and behold there was space at the edge of the bar. We sat down and as I mentioned the place was rammed. The service was a bit spotty but since we had a long trip we just wanted to get a beer in us as well as some food. After 15 minutes or so we were able to get some drinks and we placed our order of food as well. Food was a bit disappointing for all of us. I had brawts and a side of tater tots. Wouldn't recommend. This was a really nice micro brewery right across the street from Lambeau Field. It was a big cozy room and had many brews to select from. There was a Saison on the menu which is really hard to find so if you're a fan of them, try it out. It wasn't one of my favorite ones but it certainly is worth a try when you can find them. I ordered the pastrami sandwich for lunch, which was supposed to have sauerkraut on it, but I really didn't taste any and it wasn't as smoky as I like my pastrami. However, I loved the crusty rustic bread it was served on. If you're not a fan of super smokymeat, this might fill your need for a pastrami sandwich. Our server was really nice and he was very attentive. He knew when to come and ask if we needed anything so it was nice to know he was paying attention to our table and not just leaving us waiting. The dining room has this gigantic fireplace, which added to the ambience. I can check it off my list, but I don't necessarily think I need to come back. read more

Visiting from NY, my sister and I wanted to try this place because it was near where we were staying. The place is very big, lots of space for drinks around the wood burning fireplace, also there's an outdoor patio area for when the weather is warmer. They frequently change the menu based on the farm-to-table concept this place is based in. We loved everything we ordered and the IPA was great. The gift shop had cute stuff and canned brews to go! Service was good, food was tasty, place was a whole vibe. Would definitely go again. The only (sort-of) downside is it is a bit pricey but understandably so because they use all fresh ingredients so it is worth it for sustainability. read more

This was our first time, waitress allowed us a couple of samples before deciding on a beer-very good and a large selection! Husband and I have been to Green Bay for packer games and always seen the Hinterland Brewery and said "we should go there sometime", well on our way up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we went through Green Bay and decided to make the pitstop! And it DID NOT disappoint!! We arrived just before 11:30am on a Friday and it wasn't too busy when we took our seats at the bar. Maddie was our bartender and she was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful with deciding our beer flight choices. We decided to go with 6 different beers and shared the cheese curd appetizer. Wow those were some goooood curds - not to mention they came out picture perfect (see attached). My favorite beers were the Thai Fried Bananas and Space Breakfast! I'm not a beer girlie but both were tasty and not too beer-y. My hubby says he liked all 6 choices we got, "no bad picks" was the direct quote! By the time we left our spots at the bar around 12:30 the place was quite busy! We finished our little adventure by walking around the little square which was decorated for fall/halloween! The place provided a nice atmosphere with an upscale look. Very spacious inside with tons of comfortable seating. I came here for dinner with my friends the day after a game. Most the people had left, so the place was kind of empty, which made it easy to talk and get around. The burger I got was delicious, and the beer to go along tasted good. My son and I dropped in last Friday and sat at the bar. The bartender is very efficient and got our beer and food order quickly. We had the sausage sharable plate and the shrimp and grits sharable plate. A pleasant surprise with both dishes. The sausage was excellently made and well prepared. The shrimp and grits was fantastic! The shrimp was expertly prepared and the grits were so good.
