Even though their price was a bit higher than the company my agent recommended, I decided to go with them -- after all, buying a house only happens a few times in a lifetime, and you want true professionals for something that important. Looking back, it was absolutely the best decision. Jay did my inspection and was extremely thorough and professional. A few months later, I had a question and reached out to Ian -- that's when I truly understood why everyone gives them five stars. He was very thorough with his inspections and went over some general maintenance recommendations for items that were not an issue for the inspection but are important for the longevity of the home. He was always willing to answer my questions with advice and was not afraid to admit where I should consult a different expert. Most importantly, he did not try and sell me on any of his other services even when I asked if he would recommend taking further action on the home. One of them broke his toe earlier in the morning and was barely doing anything (don't blame him. Sucks they made him work through it) The other inspector frank was condescending and didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Had to argue with him to look at the deck and under it for issues we discovered ourself. Then we get a boilerplate inspection report with pictures missing and nothing meaningful. no response when asked about it. Pricing was fair, if not inexpensive, and compared well to other companies doing the same work. Sometimes a little bit challenging to get via phone, but overall very dependable. Arrived on time for the remediation work, as well as the post clearance air quality test. After the first air quality test came back elevated, they re-treated at no extra cost, and were very forthcoming with information and we were able to provide their number to the tenants for any questions etc. no demand for payment until the work was completely done - even then, I had to reach out to them to ensure I made payment - when they also offered support post payment , should any concerns come up from the tenants. He followed up the next day with a phone call to explain the results in detail and then sent an email that aligned perfectly with everything we discussed. My only con is the price. It was a bit expensive, but let's be honest... my con is almost always the price. Who actually enjoys spending a lot of money? No one! After vetting many companies, I came across Rudd's. Danny was the only inspector I could find who seemed to know the true detriment mold and mycotoxins can have on some people. No one else in my house was effected by the mold, but I could tell there was something there and Danny believed me. After doing an air sample with no evidence of mold spores, he went a step further and did a cavity sample in the wall. The results for mold were off the charts. Not only did he find the mold, he found the cause of water penetration. Danny, being experienced with many companies in his line of work, gave me the names/numbers of some top-notch remediation companies who proved to be great additions to my arsenal to combat my mold problem. During my experience Danny was there for me every step of the way. Always willing to help and was very reliable and responsive - normally with next day service. I was so impressed that I asked him to test my mothers house as well. Without Danny's help and guidance I may still be going in circles, trying to find the right company.
