Maple brown sugar latte
Christina O.

Thousand Hills Coffee is nested in a busy apartment complex. There's plenty of free parking available, though not all immediately by the entrance of the coffee shop. We went on a Saturday afternoon which probably did not help the cause, but there were only a couple of tables available, which luckily we snagged one. I opted for the maple brown sugar latte. I really liked the flavor of the brown sugar itself, though I wished the espresso notes would have cut through more. My preference is for stronger, more acidic tasting espresso though. Glad I was able to check this coffee shop out since it was on my list, but not sure it's one I will rush back to.

My friend and I stopped in after having it bookmarked for a while and fell in love with the space and drinks! The coffee shop is connected to an apartment lease building and the decor is cozy , open, and vibrant. The cafe was full and I like the bright open windows. As for the coffee, we both had iced latte drinks (vanilla with salted cold foam) and the cardamom one. Service was great and our drinks were really yummy. The pastries also looked very fresh and will have to give them a try next time.

I was so excited to see one of my favorite local coffee shops on the list for RDU Coffee Crawls - this spot has ample sitting space both indoor and outdoor, a smaller coffee and tea menu with some signature drinks added in as well and they also serve beer and some delicious fresh pastries/sandwiches. The baristas are wonderful and eager to make sure you're ordering something you love so ask for their advice if you're unsure. Perfect little hidden spot by the airport!

We went around 9 on a Saturday and had about a 10 minute wait! I would 100% go again if it's not busy I do not know that the coffee shop is part of the leasing office for the apartments, so a lot of tenants were there also. This was a unique structure, but it didn't impact the service or seating. The space is very cute and we didn't have any issue finding parking. Not to mention, the coffee was delicious!!

Thousand hills might be one of my new favorite coffee spots in RTP! I love how spacious it is in side and how they have lots of indoor and outdoor seating. My friends and I came on a weekday afternoon and it was pretty busy inside. I ordered the periwinkle matcha and it was absolutely delicious! I love how a lot of there drinks can be latte or matcha. I ordered a coffee to do as well to drink the next day and it was very good the next day. Also, the staff was also so friendly! I will definitely be coming back

Dog friendly indoor seating

Love this coffee shop. It's super cute, and it's my favorite because they let me bring my well behaved dog inside. Lots of cute seating areas and really good drinks and scones! My favorite drink is their Manu iced latte, which is a steamed cup that has cinnamon sprinkled all over it and a vanilla latte (I do sugar free). Everyone is really nice and the area is great. Also super convenient to where I live. Great hours and you can even rent the space out at night for events. The only challenge is parking.

Excellent customer service. Elegant exterior and foliage. Bright spacious interior. Flaky croissants and decent coffee. Adequate parking. Sound level is lower making it a reasonable place to work or unwind. Overall, a good choice for coffee and pastries!

Nice floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of natural light

Visited Thousand Hills on a summer Sunday evening, about 30 minutes before closing. The 218 Southport Dr address on Yelp is incorrect; it's located on Athletic Ln. It's next to a leasing office and close to condominiums/apartments -- really tucked away and I wouldn't have ever noticed it had it not been for reading Yelp reviews. The spacious indoor seating had a good number of patrons that Sunday evening. I found a seat at the counter along the floor-to-ceiling windows. While the overall atmosphere was pleasant with soft music playing in the background, I did note that this may not always be ideal for deep focus or quiet studying. Because the space is large and invites a larger number of patrons to enjoy their coffee indoors, there is more collective chatter (and just one or two loud patrons would be enough to make it difficult to concentrate, but this is not establishment-specific as it could be an issue at any larger shop.) I ordered the strawberry lavender matcha, which was very refreshing. The hint of lavender was a lovely touch. I also treated myself to a childhood favorite -- a Rice Krispie treat. The space has a modern, inviting vibe with a variety of seating options--counter-like seating by the floor-to-ceiling windows, cozy sofas, a long communal table with lamps, and spots near the baristas. It's stylish yet comfortable. I'd definitely return. It seems like the perfect place to catch up with a friend over coffee--especially in the fall, when the outdoor seating would be enjoyable (it was way too hot for outdoor seating during my visit). First-timer tip: They do not accept cash.

Such a cute coffee shop to study at! The baristas are so friendly and talkative! They helped me decide on a tiramisu latte and it was so yummy. It reminded me of an iced mocha with a delicious homemade whipped cream on top. I would have enjoyed a stronger espresso taste but nonetheless thought it was great. The chocolate croissant was VERY chocolatey. If you've got a sweet tooth, you'll love it. The inside is super cute and clean with tons of spaces to sit. It gets pretty busy but if you can find a spot to sit, it's a great spot to study/work.

Vibes are immaculate. I've been here a few times now, including right when it first opened. I got a latte and Nutella walnut cookie which was fresh and memorable. Will def return when deciding where to relax and catch up with friends for a couple hours

Ask the Community - Thousand Hills Coffee

Did you know that the new Morrisville location is actually in Pennsylvania? That's what the corporate website shows under locations :(

Yes there is a location in Pennsylvania but there is also one here in Morrisville off Southport. Each location is privately owned.

Do they serve food?

Hey there, we’re starting slow on the food it so for now it’s just a ham and cheese croissant. We should have a breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito rolling out in the coming weeks. Baby steps for now! But thank you for your interest and please…

This is always my go-to at a new Bengong location as a quality check of sorts. I didn't see the cream top option but I may have missed it. My drink was ready before I arrived at the small store. It was very clean and unoccupied, though the staff were busy making many takeout orders. I was handed my drink and out the door in a jiffy. Just like every other Bengong I've been to, there is a wish tree by the entrance, covered in handwritten wishes by customers. I loved my peach oolong, it was creamy, fragrant, and not too sweet. The barley burst in my mouth and had a nicely chewy texture. I regretted getting the medium size, as I could have easily finished a large. I will definitely come back to Bengong for my milk tea fix, and it is an excellent addition to the Triangle's boba scene.

With customizing the ice and sugar added level, you can get the drink that suits you the best. A large menu selection and pleasant service here (although a kiosk ordering option is available as well). I enjoyed it! The Deets: While doing some errands at McCrimmons Corners, I spotted this place and decided on a refreshment stop there. Even on their own items, I've seen this place as BenGong's Tea and Ben Gong's Tea which supposedly means "Her Majesty's" Tea in Chinese. I went into the quaint, bright, inviting bubble tea shop and saw that you can order with staff or by kiosk, a plus for those of us that are not "kiosk friendly" yet. In looking at the menu, I spotted the Green Grape Sparkling Tea and went with that one. The staff member was pleasant and helpful taking my order. I ordered with less ice and no added sweetness, with the added fruit in it the sweetness was just right for me without adding extra so good call. The tasty bubbly tea was just what I wanted, I liked this drink. I did notice afterwards with their online menu that the "toppings" included with this drink are crystal jelly and lime slices, so I think I might ask for no crystal jelly next time. Also of note is that their containers are very sturdy with a good sized portion as well (as they are not the cheapest beverages but again, good quality). My tea came out in pretty good time, I thought, but did I did see others waiting around a bit for their order so it may depend on what you actually order on how quickly you get it. I'm glad I stopped to try out BenGong's Tea and won't hesitate to visit in the future when needing a bit of refreshment.

Our breakfast ended up coming out before coffee, which made no sense. I had to ask about the coffees before they were actually made. When the girl came from morning ritual She brought out my husbands, hot cappuccino but my mocha out iced and I immediately said I don't drink cold coffee and I did an order iced. Instead of being apologetic, and stating that she would change it, she just snatched the iced coffee and walked away. That was such a strange encounter. It was rude and I got no apology, nor did I get any explanation of what would happen next. I let my server know to ensure I was still going to get a coffee because I can't live without my coffee in the morning! When my Moca loved her honey, oat milk, coffee came I took a sip and was glad i didn't flip out and say "forget the coffee" (as I was already done with breakfast by the time in arrived) because the drink was delicious! If I'm ever back in the area (I was staying in Raleigh but decided to take a little detour into Durham that morning) I'll come to only Morning Ritual to see if I can change this 3 star review for service issues into a 5. For now they need to work on getting coffee service to The Goat streamlined!

It's super spacious, with tons of natural light, high ceilings, and both indoor and outdoor seating. The outside patio has cushy lounge seats, perfect for soaking up sunshine (though it's right by the highway, so some outdoor spots come with a bit of traffic noise during rush hours). This place is a dream for remote work. Every table is so spread out (esp outdoor) that you don't overhear other conversations, no loud music, and sunlight streaming in from every corner. Service was quick and thoughtfully accommodating. I appreciated that they bring food in a to-go container if you're sitting outside, so you're not stuck carrying plates back. And bonus points for their commitment to using sustainable packaging. The coffee was quite delicious! Jubala Coffee actually makes a type of specialty beans roasted just for F&F. Their drink menu is on the simpler side, but they usually have a couple of seasonal lattes, and everything I tried tasted great. Food-wise, it's a gem: generous portions, very reasonably priced, and flavorful. It reminded me a bit of Fount Kitchen in its "organic, healthy" vibe, but with more non-vegetarian options and even better flavor. There's plenty of parking right out front, but sadly they close at 2:30pm, so it's more of a morning or lunch spot. All in all, a wonderful place for a morning work sesh or a work lunch in style!

I ended up ordering a medium cappuccino which I know see from other reviews that my disappointment was not just me. we did get a waffle croissant thing which was not bad. It tasted stale. So it was a bit tougher and chewier or I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be ? I'm sure if it was fresh it would have been better. My daughter ended up getting a fruit smoothie and a hello kitty looking Madeline that was banana flavored she really liked that. There are no prices on the things that aren't at their coffee station area. I did ask the guy up front that it was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to get, he just stared at me. Didn't say anything. And then corrected me when I asked for the waffle thing. Soo.. there's that. So I guess come here if you know what you want. Or come during non less busy hours. We only came by because it was across the street from our therapy appointment. But left more disappointed.. and I spent $22 with tip. Not even sure what I paid for or the prices it all happened so fast. So go here don't go here. We will probably try another place.
