Cute little coffee spot in downtown Apex! Indoor + outdoor seating, fun menu with lattes, matcha, energy drinks, and bakery treats. I tried the "Purple Rain" latte--a mix of blackberry and lavender with coconut milk. Delicious, not too sweet, and topped with a chocolate-covered coffee bean for the perfect little kick. Coffee cake was soft and yummy. Service was great--the lady working there was so humble and kind. Docking a star since they close too early (5pm Monday-Thursday, 3pm Friday & Saturday, closed Sundays), so evening coffee lovers can't enjoy this amazing place.

In the prevailing era of the sit-down coffee house ruling the roost, Notes loses some points. It's not hard to find, just not easy, because the entrance doesn't face the lot. Parking was a breeze on a Saturday morning and when I walked in, it was dead inside. However, while I waited for my pour over, the line formed into four people. The ladies manning (ladying?) the counter were pleasant enough for a quick smalltalk sesh. The person doing the pour over admitted to not being adept at it, and I could tell from her technique. They use Larry's Beans, which is a good choice, but not my favorite. The glaring elephant in the room is the lack of space inside. There are a few stools (2 with back support) but if you're not saddled by Winter chill, you can sit outside. This shop is in no way ideal for working. They get a favorable review, but not by much, and I don't mean to sound negative. It's just that I'm kind of a coffee snob and you've really got to wow me to hit 4 or more stars. If you're on the go, it's a perfectly fine space for getting a cup and leaving. Best, A.

Amazing coffee at really good prices! Friendly employees as well. Not much interior seating but has a fairly large patio. Plenty of parking as well.

This is a very small cafe located at the front of a music school. My grandson takes piano here so I have been many times. It is always clean and service is good. They have many flavors of coffee and drinks that are displayed. There are very few pastries offered. There are only 2 seats inside and they are metal bar stool's , not very comfortable, but there are a few tables outside with umbrellas. Due to the noise of the school, it's better outside. Prices are in line with other cafes.

I have tried their smoothies before, but decided to give their coffee a try as well. Let me say, I was not disappointed. The barista did a great job and was super friendly! 10/10!

Okay so this place is inside a rock school right in the very front. We ordered the purple rain and one of the specials and it was SO good!! This place definitely needs to get on the map because it's worth going to. Will definitely be back again!

This is a great little cafe! They have a small selection of baked goods and breakfast items and a large drink menu. I have really enjoyed the iced lattes from here! They always have quite a few seasonal drinks in rotation. The staff is always super friendly, too!

The crust looked cooked from the top, but the dough under each slice was not cooked. I ate one slice before I realized why it didn't taste right. Unfortunately, I got sick from this. The crust was not stellar. It was not thin (I prefer thick) but it was kind of limp, not crisp, so it was virtually impossible to pick up a single slice with my hands. I ended up cutting pieces to make them more manageable or used a fork under an entire slice to help support it while I ate. It didn't stop me from eating all the crust, up to the edges, which is my usual modus operandi. The plasticware was kind of on the shabby side. There were a few (less than a dozen) loose forks and spoons (not wrapped) in a station where you get such stuff. Curiously, there were no knives but I thought I would ask if I needed one. It turns out that I did want a knife, I asked the staff, they rooted around a bit, but couldn't find any at first. I keep a small supply of plasticware, napkins, etc in my car so I got a knife from there. In the meantime, the staff did turn up a couple of individually-wrapped plastic knives. I used mine instead and put the knives with the other plasticware for others to use. I ate half of the pizza at the restaurant and I got a takeaway box for the other half of the pizza for dinner. I will probably return to try other things.

Plus their drinks are incredible and the employees are efficient and friendly. Usually at a cafe I prefer either the drinks or the food. Here I can't decide which I like more and they have so many options to pick from. From divine baklava to decadent chocolate tarts and towering cakes paired with flowering teas and matcha lattes. Most recently I had my favorite chocolate tart with a pistachio saffron matcha latte. The latte was definitely the star and the saffron came through even when competing with the other strong flavors. Overall, highly recommend Asali and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Prices were quite high in my opinion and the mousse tarts whole gorgeous, were difficult to eat the tart part. Very hard to cut into. As for the coffee, I was underwhelmed. It was only lukewarm. And, while latte art isn't super important, it was not impressive. The flavor was ok, but with it not being hot it wasn't excellent. I'd give the coffee another try and maybe a different dessert. When I go back I will give an update, but for now, I have to give 3 stars.

Chairs are worn down, cushions are incredible stained, tables are heavily scraped and walls are super scuffed, paint is even flaking. At first it seems nice from a slight distance but as soon as you start paying attention to details the charm disappears. On top of this their prices are absurd. I know inflation and all, and while I won't start on their "fancy" drink prices (which in my opinion are still high), even their simple drinks like a single espresso shot or black coffee are just ridiculously high priced. The staff is friendly, but service is also quite slow for coffee and teas. While I won't not go, I would not go out of my way for this place. The only reason I still go is because it is still a kind of nice place to hang out and relax, maybe do some work or just hang out with friends as the location is very convenient. The drinks are hit or miss trip by trip. It's just very...meh..for me now.

The latte was smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, just enough vanilla to complement the coffee. A perfect coffee, a scrumptious Cragel, and ideal patio weather--what more could you ask for? This is exactly the kind of local gem that keeps me coming back.

It was very crowded there's not a lot of seating inside, they do have outside sitting. I did like how the inside looked and they had their pastries out front. I couldn't tell what to order and spent a few minutes trying to figure the menu out without getting overstimulated by the time I could even think about asking questions they had a really big line. I ended up ordering a medium cappuccino which I know see from other reviews that my disappointment was not just me. we did get a waffle croissant thing which was not bad. It tasted stale. So it was a bit tougher and chewier or I'm not sure if that's how it was supposed to be ? I'm sure if it was fresh it would have been better. My daughter ended up getting a fruit smoothie and a hello kitty looking Madeline that was banana flavored she really liked that. There are no prices on the things that aren't at their coffee station area. I did ask the guy up front that it was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to get, he just stared at me. Didn't say anything. And then corrected me when I asked for the waffle thing. Soo.. there's that. So I guess come here if you know what you want. Or come during non less busy hours. We only came by because it was across the street from our therapy appointment. But left more disappointed.. and I spent $22 with tip. Not even sure what I paid for or the prices it all happened so fast. So go here don't go here. We will probably try another place.
