Amazing and cute I love the variety of pastry's and flavors in coffee. Will be going back

Cappuccino with much of the snow white foam removed and still pretty heavy with foam. Notice that it's never mixed how it should be.

Well, I just bought a cappuccino at this coffee shop, and it was pretty awful. I had to ask them to remove a layer of foamy milk just to be able to see the actual cappuccino under it. I had to take off another half an inch or so of cream just to get to the coffee part myself and once I tasted whatever was under it, it was not great at all. The issue is that, after the tip, I just spent five dollars on a cappuccino, and being that this is a treat I expected it to at least taste like a cappuccino, not some burnt tasting coffee with an over-foamed top. Please go check out some of the other roasters/coffee shops in the area, who know how to make these drinks the proper way, and try and emulate that. Clearly, this is a popular place, it has a nice enough vibe, but the one thing you come here for should at least be consistently good to make a person want to return.

Fairly busy. Looks like a great place. Lots of chatter and laughter with seating inside and out. Nice decor with a commercial coffee roaster on display. It looks like they use it. The first thing I noticed is there is no gluten free cakes or cookies or treats available. Nada. That's disappointing to me since I wanted to treat myself this morning. I ordered a macadamia nut latte. They did have plant based milk selections. I was handed a beeper. That worked well but I like when my name is called out. It took about 10 minutes but was worth the wait. Really good. There's a selection of coffees to purchase and some other products in addition to an extensive menu.

Delicious Coffee. Cozy atmosphere. So many latte options to choose from. Went with The English Toffee Latte. It was perfection. Not overly sweet. Just perfect. Paired well with the praline croissant and the craffle ( caramalized waffle) Staff was super friendly! Come check em out!

Delicious Latte and amazing blueberry scone! Super busy BUT service was proficient and served with a BIG Smile! Staff treated each customer as if they were the only one there! It was our first time in and my mother-in-law was somewhat indecisive but staff was patient and took the time to answer all of her questions. We laughed, enjoyed each other's company and relaxed in the seating and calming ambiance of Crema Coffee and Bakery! Thank you and we will be returning!

The bakery pastries looked so delicious but I stayed strong. LOL Maybe next visit!

I stopped in for a quick dose of caffeine before starting my work day. The chai tea latte did not disappoint. Service was quick although there were quite a few patrons there. I like that they have a buzzer to let you know when your coffee is ready. The staff was friendly. Decor is coffee-themed mostly. There is a moderately-sized seating area where you could work remotely or chat with a friend without feeling like you're sitting elbow to elbow with strangers. I will visit again.

I looked up this business on Yelp and saw that they have great reviews. A friend and I visited this location in hopes of getting a great iced coffee and a sweet bakery item. Crema did not disappoint. Crema's decor includes multiple coffee displays, pastry options and wooden tables & chairs. The environment is cozy and quiet. It's great for meeting a friend, working remotely or just reading a book. The staff was attentive and helpful when I placed and picked up my order. I ordered the iced praline latte and it was delightful. I wish that I ordered the 24 oz instead of the 16 oz drink. I also ordered the chocolate chip cookie scone. The scone was scrumptious! It was soft and full of chocolate chips and walnuts. I recommend trying this scone when you visit Crema.

Looking for a new spot today for a treat and iced coffee. This was a positive stop and enjoyable. My friend ordered a praline latte and I ordered a plain iced coffee. We tried the scone and vanilla cake. The cake is a light sponge filled with incredible vanilla cream. The cake was moist and lovely. The chocolate chip scone was all that and more. We will be back. All delicious.

I wanted to love this bakery because I read so many 5 star reviews. The place is indeed cute, eclectic, homey look and feel. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The coffee selections sound so uniquely delicious but was sorely disappointed with their "raspberry kiss" drink didn't give me the love it sounded - it was watered down and the raspberry flavor was too artificial. The croffle was slightly too brown. The selection of pastries was pretty slim. Maybe it was an off day???

This is where I get my bean fix. Ethiopian, Nicaraguan, Peru, me ican, Tanzanian you name it. Oh and they have delectable sweets too

Got it. Here is the revised Yelp review with the correct name:…read more My wife and I recently stopped by Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café in downtown North Carolina, and we left already planning our next visit. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted promptly and served with genuine kindness. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It feels like the kind of place where you can slow down, sit across from someone you love, and actually enjoy your coffee. We ordered an espresso, a latte, a chocolate croissant, and a lemon pastry. Everything was fresh. The croissant had crisp, flaky layers on the outside and a soft, buttery texture inside. The lemon pastry was bright and balanced, not overly sweet. The espresso was strong and smooth. The latte was well crafted and comforting. Service was quick without feeling rushed. The space was clean. The overall experience was simple and well done. If you are in downtown and want good coffee, fresh pastries, and attentive service, Once in a Blue Moon Bakery and Café is worth your visit. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return. Highly recommend.

On the positive side, the flavors themselves were solid overall. The icing was tasty, and while the cake was decent, it leaned a bit dry, which was already giving us pause given this was meant to showcase their best work. What really ended the conversation for us was a major quality issue. Two of the icing sample balls each had a very long hair in them. It was immediately noticeable and extremely off-putting. At that point, we lost confidence and couldn't bring ourselves to continue sampling, let alone consider trusting them with something as important as a wedding cake. Between the dryness of the cake and the hair issue, we ultimately decided to go in a different direction. Not terrible flavor-wise, but the experience as a whole was disappointing and fell short for such a high-stakes purchase.

Seating is genuinely plentiful: a full dining room of marble-top tables inside plus a large fenced patio out front shaded by trees and umbrellas. Easy to grab a spot whether you're solo with a laptop or meeting a group. The pastry case is where the variety really shows off. Beyond the expected croissants, almond pastries, and fruit danishes, there's a deep savory lineup -- the Pastry Frank, Hot Dog Roll, Bourdin Garlic Cheese Quiche, and a Pepperoni Pizzetta among them. The standout (and most photogenic) was the hot dog roll: a whole frankfurter wrapped in glossy bread, crowned with crispy panko, ketchup-mustard drizzle, and a sprinkle of parsley. Equal parts strange and delicious. Plenty of room, plenty to choose from, and consistently solid quality. A reliable spot for a coffee, a pastry, or a savory bite.

I was…read moreso excited to learn we had a Paris Baguette in the area after visiting the VA Beach location about 3 weeks ago. I was headed out to my cousins house not far from there and thought I would scoop up a few things for us to snack on. I knew I wanted the fruit tarts and they are pure perfection in my opinion-I bought 4 in total-I ate one the second I got into the car and the rest were had later in the day. I also wanted to try some of their savory options as when I was there a few weeks ago, they were sold out of the ham and cheese croissant and was really excited to give it a try, and wow it was worth the wait! I also got a pepperoni pizza and some sort of pastry with a hot dog in it. We cut each of the savory options into third so we could sample each item. Everything about the ham and cheese croissant was pure perfection and was the favorite of all three of us! I hate that I didn't take any photos of the building-the outside was nothing special but pastries were beautifully displayed and they had so many options to choose from! The rest room wasn't super tidy, but it was bad either-it was a very busy Sunday afternoon! Now to breakdown the customer service piece that prevented me from giving y'all a perfect score, please do better! I was not greeted when it was my turn, in fact there were two people at registers and after both finished they both walked away without saying anything. So, I stood there and waited and at this point no one was behind me. I don't recall the name of the young man that checked me out. I said hello and asked how do I sign up for their rewards program? I'm not sure he understood my question. I asked again and he told me that I had to sign up for it. There seemed to be a disconnect so I just asked if I could sign up for it later and get credit for the large purchase I was making and all he said was he would give me a receipt. He rang up my pastries and I then asked if he could package the sweet and savory items separately and he seemed annoyed. I also ordered myself an iced chai and he seemed bothered that I wanted a drink. At this point there was a really long line of people and he was not efficient in our encounter at all. I truly believe customers service makes or breaks and experience and sadly, this guy missed the mark after I spent $40+! I'm hoping he was just having an off day.

I was shocked at how long the line was (at 2 PM!) but I guess people love their Brecotea :) The array of pastries, both savory and sweet, was impressive. My wife and I got savory options this time around and they were decent, but everything was pretty unhealthy and my chicken curry roll was definitely cold in the middle. We also got lattes and they were really tasty. There's a good amount of seating throughout the restaurant and it's reasonably comfy. By the time we left around 5 PM, it was much less busy, so maybe hit up Brecotea around then if you're interested in a more chill experience. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely come back, although I may stick to the sweet pastries next time.

Ironically, I went here because I rarely get out to eat and the service has always been consistent. 1. There was no one at the cash register and an employee who was just about to go on break took my order. He was polite enough but I found out later that he put in the wrong order. 2. There were no tables that I saw that were wiped off. Some had the dishes removed but I needed to wipe off a table. 3. A cockroach scrambled across the floor near my table to the left of the coffee station. I wish I was joking, or seeing things but I wasn't the only person who saw it. One of the female employees went toward it and stepped on it but since it was headed toward my table, I moved. 4. It was really hot in there. Maybe not AC completely broken hot, but AC on the struggle bus hot. There was a large fan in the back dining room that wasn't doing much of anything except redistributing humidity. 5. I ordered an avocado toast with bacon and got delivered a grilled cheese sandwich. The server took it back but then I needed to ask for the bacon. I'm sorry I didn't take a picture because the same dish on Sunday was so elaborate and beautifully presented and the same order today was just meh. Not a good value for the price. I will say the server correcting someone else's mistake was clearly overwhelmed but doing her best. She was also the cockroach killer. I ate my lunch and read my book. My intention had been to linger a while and read but I decided to leave. The place was about 1/4 full when I left but all the tables still had crumbs, food debris and water on them made it too unpleasant to stick around. Very disappointing. I don't see myself going back any time soon. I do love their bread but I'm sure I can find someplace more pleasant or go to the downtown location instead.

Ich liebe Annelores deutsche Bäckerei!…read more I first got goodies from Annelore's booth at the State Farmer's Market in Raleigh. The Apfel (apple) turnover was delicious, as was the Heidelbeerkuchen (blueberry cake) and Zitronenschnitten (lemon bar). I saw a nice gentlemen there that day who I think may be part owner; based on what I see on their website I wonder if it was Herr Norbert. While waiting for another guy behind the counter to bag my goodies, I happened to mention (to who I think was Norbert) that I'm learning German, and he spoke some basic German to me! Which I understood - OMG, must tell my German teacher. A couple weeks later I needed to bring desserts to our monthly Book Club meeting, and Annelore's was my first thought. I decided to visit their actual store in Cary. Even though it's an hour away from home, I stopped by one day when I had to go to Raleigh for an appointment. An Annelore's employee helped me with selecting about six cake slices and 2-3 different bars, plus some German cookies. The inside of the store is very clean, and there are some places to sit if you'd like to eat there. The employees were kind and helpful (and patient, in my case, trying to decide what to buy for a Book Club group I'd never met in person). Annelore's German Bakery is a wonderful way to take care of your dessert needs and support a local business at the same time. If you need a dessert, cake, scones, or other treats for your home gathering, BBQ, church social, potluck, business lunch, or other event, I would definitely let Annelore's take care of that part for you! 10/10, highly recommend! They asked me if I wanted my bread sliced, and when I replied in the affirmative, gave me a helpful chart with a lot of different options for how thick I wanted each slice :) I took the bread home, stuck it in the oven, and ate it with some butter and jam. "VERY hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern patisserie"…read more This gives hole-in-the-wall new meaning. The location is in a strip-mall that's set back a ways from 55, so it's not really visible from the street at all. However, it's weirder than that-- you have to drive AROUND the strip mall to the back, past the various loading docks for other stores, and they you see this place is open just from the BACK of the strip mall. I heard the owner is Algerian, but there are many Palestinian references and flags around the shop, so if that's triggering, then know this in advance before coming in. Still, the place is brightly lit and airy, with tables to eat. They do custom cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts, but we just wanted to sample some sweets. Hours are funny-- just midday Friday through Sunday. We ordered a pecan brownie and a pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa (shredded Middle Eastern pastry), as well as a mocha coffee. The mocha coffee was rich and delicious, as expected. The pistachio chocolate dish with kunafa was to-die-for... SO delicious. Super thick and messy, as you'd hope it would be. And of course the pecan brownie was amazing. I will say the pastries are not "cheap". I got a single tahini chocolate chip cookie to go for a friend, and that was $4.50 for a modest sized cookie. The other dishes above were in the $6 range. But these are unusual custom-made dishes, so it's fair.
