Trying to get a little work done, I was pleased to find a comfy couch, power and Wi-Fi- in addition to the incredible twist on a Mexican mocha and an absolutely insane bacon, egg, and cheese on there in house made biscuit! Greeted by the friendliest barista, I made myself comfy on the couch and watched her work her magic. My " not too sweet" mocha had beautiful latte art. Our breakfast ended up coming out before coffee, which made no sense. I had to ask about the coffees before they were actually made. When the girl came from morning ritual She brought out my husbands, hot cappuccino but my mocha out iced and I immediately said I don't drink cold coffee and I did an order iced. Instead of being apologetic, and stating that she would change it, she just snatched the iced coffee and walked away. That was such a strange encounter. It was rude and I got no apology, nor did I get any explanation of what would happen next. I let my server know to ensure I was still going to get a coffee because I can't live without my coffee in the morning! When my Moca loved her honey, oat milk, coffee came I took a sip and was glad i didn't flip out and say "forget the coffee" (as I was already done with breakfast by the time in arrived) because the drink was delicious! If I'm ever back in the area (I was staying in Raleigh but decided to take a little detour into Durham that morning) I'll come to only Morning Ritual to see if I can change this 3 star review for service issues into a 5. Service was not as fast as a typical coffee shop for making my matcha, so if I was in a time crunch, I wouldn't get that drink. The fall specials my coworkers got were completed a lot faster than mine, and everyone had to wait for me.

It was a bit noisy inside, just because there were a lot of customers and everyone was talking. The store is clean and bright with a neat little riser on one side. I was under the illusion that this was going to be a bar style trivia, and it was actually more like LGBTQ/Local trivia. That's great for inclusivity I just had another idea in my head of what the situation might be like. The space is rather small without much seating so for trivia we had to get there early to grab a seat. The coffee bar has a lot of tasty offerings but the book selection is pretty limited and not the broadest selection but I'm sure for those it's aimed at it excels. The space is very cute and there's lots of ample parking outside. This is a lovely addition to south Durham which is lacking in coffee shops and third spaces.

I absolutely love that everything is in a case and you help yourself with your own set of clean tongs.
