Bad color experience. My mother went in to get her roots done and left with almost solid black hair and a chopped haircut. They took her from a level 6/7 to a 4. Looks horrible. I've been getting my eyebrows done here for years. I was one of their first customers, and I've always left happy with my results. This all changed yesterday. I went in to get my eyebrows done and they've completely botched them. The girl that did my eyebrows was not someone that I've met before (probably new) and I didn't get her name. She seemed very pleasant, and I don't find pleasure in writing this review. I've always waxed my eyebrows. They're incredibly thick and if I were to sit in a chair for a threading session, I'd be there for a long and painful time. So I go in and request a wax, sit down in the chair and we get started. When I tell you this girl had no idea what she was doing, I truly mean it. She put scalding hot wax on my eyebrows lid and then let it set for nearly 15 seconds before applying the paper to get rid of the hair. And when it came time for her to rip the paper off, she did just that. Along with my skin. I have burns and skin is missing on my eyelids. She proceeded to RUB my eye lid with force for quite awhile because the wax had adhered itself to my skin, so now it not only hurts like a SOB, it's swollen. Now all of this I can kind of forgive, but then two other salon stylists get involved and attempt to gaslight me into saying it's MY FAULT for the damage to my skin as I have sensitive skin. Again, I've been going to this salon since it opened. I'd say since 2018 at LEAST and this has never once happened to me. My sensitive skin is not at fault for someone not knowing what they're doing. On top of all of this, one eyebrow is MUCH smaller than the other and they were hardly cut back. Typically this is something that happens before you start yanking hair off. So now I have busy, but thin eyebrows. No $27 gift certificate will ever bring me back here again. read more

I was in a bind yesterday and needed to get my brows done before an evening out! So I looked up and boom I see the word THREAD in big letters. Yahtzee! I went in and thankfully they were not busy at all. Relaxing spa music was playing and I just told them I needed a "clean up", which I typically will say if it is a place I'm unfamiliar with. I did however make sure to check the stars on Yelp to be sure it was a reputable place. Of course threading does not always feel amazing (and I have pretty sensitive skin when it comes to threading and waxing) but my threader was pretty gentle and even let me take a mini break to deal with the sensitivity! They had soothing aloe vera gel for me after and a nice massage to calm down my skin. Price was 7 bucks which is one of my favorite things about threading versus waxing. To me it just looks better, plus you are still saving moolah! They also have a rewards program and you get freebies if you go often! I have a spot that I am a regular customer at however I am keeping this on the definite back burner for next time! read more

Hello who can relate, I have lived in this great state of Texas since July 18. I am European and I love this Thread Beauty Salon & Spa. The two very friendly ladies named Lila and Laxmi are very helpful. Although it does not look very modern, this beauty salon is clean and tidy. Lila and Laxmi really take the time for you, pay attention as it should. Customer-friendly is certainly in order here. We in Europe are used to that because the customer is either King but showing respect from both parties is mandatory. I feel very welcome, very respected, as a client at this Beauty Salon. It is very nice to go here. It is not unimportant that this Beauty salon really makes the prices affordable. That gives the customer even more the feeling to come back more often. I came here because it was right next to my gym and I desperately needed my eyebrows threaded. It had been about a year since I actually had them done. The wait wasn't bad and was actually shorter than expected considering there were already two people getting services and another two people there before me. Anyway, I had a great experience! My eyebrows look SO much better and finally look clean and neat! The woman (I didn't catch her name) even took the time to explain how she threaded my eyebrows to make them look good since I haven't had them done in so long. It was quick and affordable! This salon just opened about a month and a half ago but I have nothing but great things to say about this place. Lila was the one that cut my hair and styled it and she did an amazing job! My hair was hideous before and she really did a fantastic job. This place does pretty much everything from haircut/hair style to waxing, threading. Lila was also very sweet and accommodating, this is defiantly going to be my new regular eyebrow threading place. read more
