After enjoying a Lofty Coffee with the husband (at the roasting site across the street), I decided to peruse Moonshadow in Encinitas for some holiday gift giving inspiration! I knew I could come out with at least a hint (for someone) if I didn't find a gift for someone on my list! Moonshadow has something for everyone from the hippie to the hipster...unique baby bibs and rattles, local healthy treats and toys for your pet, fun tees for the guys, custom jewelry for the gals! Gift cards, books and unique home items for all! It was initially a massive dreamcatcher in the window that lured me in. It was suggested that Cat Stevens wrote Moonshadow as a song of hope. We actually used the store owner, Juli, for interior design of our complete remodel. She has vast experience in furniture, space planning, and all the current design trends. We also had her select all paint colors, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, flooring, tile, you name it if it was a textile or a color she was selecting it. Juli uses her vast network of suppliers and passes along her discount pricing to her clients. We interviewed several interior designers before meeting and selecting Juli, and we highly recommend her for your interior design needs!!!

On our way to a consignment store we saw this place and decided to check it out…read more Walking in we saw a sign that there's 65 multiple vendors in this place. So it was neat that each vendor had its on cubicle-like space that was unique. We really enjoyed checking out each space and finding so many vintage and unique items. The prices were also reasonable and fair. We spent so much time looking through the place to make sure we didn't miss anything. This entire "mall" was very organized and clean which made it a good shopping experience. As far as service, when we visited on a Saturday afternoon, we didn't interact with any staff/vendor so I can't say anything about that. Overall, a very neat place to find unique items that'll take you back.

i was with my aunt and cousin last week and we stumbled upon this little shop. i thought it seemed…read morecute, we walked in the ac was running and it seemed like a nice place. while the clothes weren't my personal interest, i thought it seemed great for others. my aunt was taking photos of the place, just like 1-4 ish as she loves that type of stuff. when we walked into the room where the cashier was, she saw my aunt take a photo of the hats or something. with an angry voice and demeanor, she asked "are you taking a video?!?", she replied "no" but the cashier continued and said "are- are you sure!?!" and my aunt about to lose her temper calmed down and said "no, i was just taking a couple pictures of the place" and the cashier still seemed a bit annoyed but continued to do her errand or whatever. this quite shocked me and while i understand that perhaps the cashier who i later found out (i believe!) was the owner or co-owner most likely didn't want a video of herself i feel like she could've handled the situation differently. either way i also read the reviews of this place the second we walked out and realized the main problem of the place is its customer service and support. and that's pretty much the foundation of a business. how you treat your customers. have a good day God bless

As would be expected based on their name, this cute store in downtown Encinitas sells bedding at the heart of it's product line. They also carry furniture, art and lighting from around the globe. A modernist style reminiscent of German Bauhaus design spans their shelves. Clean lines, high contrast color and minimal details take away the clutter. Less is more is always fashionable! This fairly new store in Encinitas seems to have odd hours - or maybe I just stopped by during a sueño?

The owners and staff are friendly and I learned that the candles are made locally and there are no chemicals. For other gifts, I've bought the olive oil, heart-shaped soaps. Good price at $10.00-They will gift wrap for you too--the horoscope magnets make humorous gifts too. I'm a local but I find this store one of my favorites in downtown Encinitas. I have never been so disgusted by a manager's behavior in my life…read more Today, I witnessed Jerry openly yelling at employees and speaking to them with absolutely no respect. It was humiliating to watch. The way Jerry talked to those employees was as if they were broken machines instead of human beings. What was even more disturbing was that the employees seemed completely used to it, which makes me wonder how often this happens. As a customer, I was shocked and extremely uncomfortable. No employee deserves to be treated this way, especially in front of customers. A leader should build people up, not tear them down. If this is the kind of management your company allows, then there is a serious problem. Jerry's behavior was unprofessional, inappropriate, and unacceptable. I will be reporting this to corporate because employees deserve far better than being publicly yelled at and degraded while trying to do their jobs.
