Threads is not only my #1 place for threading, it's my only place. I typically come in as a walk-in, and have called in for an appointment as well. Eyebrow sessions are really quick and most importantly, correct. Trust me...there is nothing worse than getting a bad eyebrow threading job...nothing. You just have to live with it or "create" the look you want until your hair grows back. No worries with Nitu. She is absolutely amazing. I prefer a not-too-thin look and she delivers each time. Threads offer great hours so you are likely to find a time that works for you. There are scheduled days off for Nitu, so I would just call before going to make sure she's available. read more

I stopped going here ever since Neetu was handing off customer to the new girl.. she often chips off my eyelid skin threading it too deep, uses her phone never sanitize and touches your face, talks directly to your face when she's only few inches away. read more

Neetu is top notch. I have been coming to her for 2 years. I love the way she arches my brows. I trust her so much that I never check her work afterwards. The shop is clean and beautiful. I have no worries about safety precautions, because she keeps a very sterile environment. The only time I disappointed is when she goes on vacation . However, she always notifies me when she won't be available since I'm a loyal customer. She's friendly and extremely quick. I'm in and out the chair in under 5 minutes. She makes sure my brows have a natural arch, so even when I think I need them done they still look good. Her prices are extremely low bases on her location where I'm sure the rent is extremely high. She is so sweet and very much deserving of success. Also, I have never experienced pain, redness, or any side effects from her work. If you looking for a place and a professional, head to THREADS. Neetu is my choice, but her other partner is great as well. Love her!!! read more

No more eyebrow waxing for me - since moving to the DMV area, I've discovered threading, and apparently THREADS is my go-to spot now. It's a super simple, no-frills, quiet shop with typically only 1 employee on the job. No appointments, now open Sundays, accepts CC (but not AMEX), you can put gratuity on the CC, and there's a quick efficiency that goes along with what they do. Don't expect pampering and superfluous conversation as your stray hairs are whisked away somewhat painlessly, just quick work and no-nonsense. I'd recommend stopping in only Weds., Fri., or Saturday. I don't know the lady's name who is threading on these days, but she's far better, in my opinion, than the other employees. Expect to pay $15 for eyebrow threading. read more

Every time I come into this spot, I have been serviced by the same girl. I really wish I knew her name, but I am going to assume she is the manager because she is always there. I actually don't have proof that anyone else works here. That said, she needs to brush her teeth when working so closely with customers. Each time I have gone, has been after lunch and I can tell you what she had for lunch. The last time I went, she had a subway sandwich with onions and a bag of Doritos chips. I know this from smell, not sight. This place cannot be a regular for me because the thread she use is very rough. I have had my eyebrows threaded by much softer thread. And the thread makes a difference. Because the thread is so rough, I will not allow her to do my entire face. In addition, their prices are much higher than what I am used to paying. However, I enjoy the convenience of never having to wait; they place is always empty when I go. read more

I've tried this place a few times, but stopped going. They do an ok job as far as threading goes, but the hours aren't great and frankly in comparison to other places this place is expensive for just an ok job in a place that's a bit lack luster in atmosphere. When I'm spending close to $20 just to get my eyebrows threaded there's something seriously wrong with this. Thankfully I've found another place that does a really great job and is a bit more reasonable as far as price. read more

Nitu saw me at a moments notice and did the best she could to correct a previously botched threading job by someone else. After cleaning my brows up, she even offered me some castor oil to help grow the bare spots at no additional charge. It was a kindness I didn't expect but truly appreciated. I will definitely be returning. read more

Now with COVID, there business has been a bit slow which is a shame because this is a great, reasonable, and quick place to get your eyebrows threaded for just $12. I am very impressed by Threads salon in Herndon. Neetu, the owner is a highly experienced aesthetician and consistently does a great job. Neetu has been doing my threading for the last two years. She has also done a facial for me. My eyebrows are a little tricky, and she knows exactly how to shape them. It does not hurt when she is threading. She also massages the eyebrows with lotion at the end, which is a great finishing touch. Neetu did a great job with my facial as well. It was very relaxing and my skin looked remarkable afterwards. I highly recommend Neetu and Threads, and will continue to use her services. Added bonus for me: The salon is in Worldgate Center and very close to my favorite Indo- Chinese restaurant. read more

I hated this place - I paid too much for my threading and was rushed out after - when I checked at home and noticed that they missed a large portion of my upper lip I called them and the lady rudely told me to come next time and she will see what she can do. I'm not sure why so many people had not so positive things to say about this place, I loved it. I spotted it on the way to have dinner with my family and I popped in quickly to have my very unruly eyebrows done. The lady was super nice and professional. She did it quickly and efficiently and let me say, my eyebrows have never looked better. She paid close attention to any stray hairs and was super gentle. I've threaded my eyebrows at other places before and it was always rough and painful, not here. Even the gentle rose water she wiped it with at the end kept it from swelling and looking red. And as far as the comparison of the price spent vs time spent...for me, it's more of the quality and not the quantity. $15 was well spent for me for making my face look less like a yeti and more like a human :) I would recommend this place to any of my friends. read more

This is a long overdue review. I highly recommend Neetu for waxing, facial and threading. Waxing: I've been to very fancy places but this was by far the best experience I've ever had when it come to waxing. The person who did mine was Neetu and she made the whole experience as enjoyable as possible and she was super friendly and interactive.. She gives the best massage ever.. Its a must go place. Highly recommend it.. She took her time and gave me tips to do at home. I highly recommend this place and Neetu. This was the most pain-free experience I've ever had! I'm very picky about small little hair that are difficult to remove by waxing, but Neetu made sure she did her very best to make me happy by threading on my legs to remove those little hair that didn't come off by waxing. Facial: My facial experience was very nice and relaxing. Again, Neetu really knows what does a customer need and what is the best for her skin. I got a fruit facial and the results were good. Easy, cheap quick. They do a great job on eyebrow threading! Never been disappointed. Only thing I would complain about is parking can sometimes be hard to find above ground. Just go straight to the parking garage under the place. Or park in the back of the lot read more

I stopped here because I needed my eyebrows taken care of ASAP and I was in the neighborhood. Yelp directed me here and was happy to see some of my Yelp friends have been a fan of this place. Anyway, I found 20 minute parking right in front of the shop which made me happy since Worldgate parking can be a pain. I entered the establishment and had a seat because the lady who would soon be threading my eyebrows was with another lady. It wasn't long before I sat in the chair and she worked feverish to thread my eyebrows and made them look good. Like another reviewer had mentioned she noticed what the lady may have eaten beforehand. I noticed the same thing but again I liked the overall results of my eyebrows which trumps food smells. When I paid with my credit card I learned I could put a tip on my card which is unheard of at a lot of places in the northern Virginia area for personal care. I learned they have a reward program where after ten threading you earn one for free. Score in my book!!!! read more

The lady who works here is extremely rude. She has a problem with the words I use to ask her how I need my eyebrows done. I tell her "please just remove the extras". Those words seem to offend her for some reason. She almost yelled at me twice saying I should just trust her. When I asked her to remove one more layer ...she got irritated and said ..in that case I should say shape them and not remove extras. After she removed the layer she just walked off and started billing me without even asking if I am okay with it. Overall a very unpleasant experience I was here on 09/21/2012 read more

I scheduled an appointment for two services well in advance -- only for the team at LaserAway to reschedule me THREE times, the last one being on the day of the appointment. Despite the constant back-and-forth, I still showed up expecting professional service. What I got was anything but. Upon arrival, I was told -- with no prior notice -- that they didn't have time to complete both services. That's right: after moving my schedule around multiple times for their changes, they then told me in person that they wouldn't actually be able to fulfill the appointment I booked. I was understandably frustrated and left without receiving any services. But it gets worse -- I later found out that I was charged anyway for services I never received. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a blatant disregard for customers' time, money, and trust. I've reached out to customer support for a full refund, but the fact that I even have to go through this step is frustrating enough. LaserAway: Your Reston location needs serious attention. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is not what people pay premium prices for.

I arrived a few moments early, and was taken back with minimal waiting after filling out short paperwork. The rooms are clean as are the restrooms. My technician was pleasant. The oddity was the actual facial. I've had quite a few in my 30 years, and this wasn't really a facial. She washed my face, applied toner, moisturizer, and I was out folks! No extractions, no hot towels, no explanation of what the hell she was using. I remember asking her well what brand is it, I have sensitive skin. It was dermalogica, so at least there's that. When I went to give her a tip, she had already disappeared! I left some cash on the desk, and left. It was a bizarre experience overall just to get my face washed!

I didn't go out of my way trying to find one that specializes in Russian manicures, but it just so happened that Diva Beauty Lounge was the one that I found. The scheduling process was super easy, I believe I just called them and afterwards had to text my information to them. Maybe a second later I got a text confirming the appointment, with a link to their Square website. I especially appreciated this aspect because I was able to see the location on my Maps app. On the day of my appointment, I noted the salon is close to Main Street/Old Town Fairfax but it's in its own area with ample parking. I accidentally went to the wrong building, but Vera was super nice and came outside to get me. When I walked into the salon, I noted how clean and neat it looked inside. It doesn't have a million pedicure chairs, but this is because they specialize in dry pedis, which require special chairs (look up dry pedis online, they're life changing). It wasn't super loud in there either, which added to the peaceful vibes of the place. I was offered a beverage once I got to Vera's work station and she brought me water. So right off the bat, customer service gets a 10/10. Next, I showed Vera what I wanted. She confirmed the shape, the color, and wanted to know if I was okay with my color being more sheer (I picked a pink that actually comes out more see through). This was perfectly fine by me, because I wanted more of a natural nail moment. Once Vera confirmed all that I wanted she got to WORK. When I tell you no kind of manicure compares to a proper Russian manicure, I mean it. They devote so much time to cleaning and cutting your cuticles (dead skin only, no live skin), making sure the polish isn't lumpy, and maintaining the shape, that it's literally giving a LUXURY experience. Despite having to take the time to perfect all of these little things, my mani really didn't take all that long and by the end of it, I was in love. Other than how perfect my mani was at the end, I especially loved that I hadn't been nicked or cut at all by the nail scissors. I have actually been to some places that say they specialize in "Russian manicure" and left completely cut up everywhere (an infection waiting to happen), but at Diva Beauty Lounge, Vera really took her time and ensured everything was done properly, safely, and hygienically. The one thing I will say about getting this kind of mani (or pedi if you so choose), is that it will definitely cost more than your typical manicure/pedicure. The reason being that it's a much more specialized technique and your nails just look that much better due to them taking their time and perfecting everything. If you're not the kind of person that can come often, I highly suggest getting a nude color (what I did) so that you don't have to come in sooner when it starts growing out. Otherwise, this is a great kind of mani to get if you're getting engaged, have a party, some kind of special event, etc. It's well worth the extra coin. And if you can come regularly, I say do it! This kind of manicure also keeps your cuticles perfected and helps your nails to grow out nicely. Overall, have got to give my girl Vera a 10/10, this was an A+ experience. I was super pleased with my visit and my nails, and can't wait to come back again!

When I contacted her about it and asked when I could return, she essentially said that she gave me a pedicure and had I wanted my heels treated that it would cost extra because that's an extra fee that needed to be discussed before the pedicure began so an extra fee could be charged. Yes, you read that right. I've been getting pedicures for decades and the bottom of my feet are always treated (remove dry skin) either a pedicure and no salon has ever asked me if I wanted the bottom of my feet's dry skin removed because it's always included. Vanessa said, "what did I expect for $22?" I said I expected what the advertisement said, "a regular pedicure." She's a scam artist.
