Pooza is The Eyebrow Whisper! I used to get my eyebrows threaded for years, but after awhile, I felt the ends were getting too thin and I missed my fuller eyebrows. I stopped threading about 2 years ago and just sorta tried to pluck the stray hairs and keep them neat. But about 6 months ago, I decided to stop plucking and let everything grow back and start over. I wanted to find someone who would understand that I wanted shape, but to also keep the fullness and I came across Pooza. She was so wonderful! I requested an appointment through Yelp and she responded very quickly. When I sat down in the chair, I showed her an old photo from about 3 years ago when my eyebrows were shaped, but thinner. I wanted to try and do the same shape, but try and keep the ends more full. She listened to my request and said she would go slow to make sure I was happy with the shape. Pooza was very professional and took her time to make sure my eyebrows looked amazing! She stopped several times to allow me to look in the mirror and explain what she wanted to do before she would continue. She took her time and I didn't feel rushed, even when another person walked in and sat down to wait their turn. She didn't trim too many hairs and wanted to keep my brows long and full. I called and was able to get in the same day. I had trouble locating it so the lady on the phone told me it was right next to the nail salon. The salon had a bigger sign so it was easy to find then. The parking is in a lot like a standard strip mall. I walked in and it was clean and didn't smell like products like some salons. There are hair stylists and products in the front of the salon. I walked straight to the back where they do eyebrows. It was a private room. Room was clean and I was the only customer. Eyebrow tech was very friendly and social asking me about my holiday plans. She threaded one brow first and then asked me to take a look. I confirmed it was okay, then she did the other. I am satisfied with my brow shape and would return if I am in this area again. Unfortunately I live an hour away and was here for an office visit in the area. Overall, a good experience so I recommend this salon. Update: Had to remove a star because my left brow broke out after :(. It's probably because I have sensitive skin but it looks like I have a tiny cut there. read more

Terrible job, my eyebrows were left messy and out of shape. My sides were left undone, she had the nerve to say "you like your eyebrows cleaned up?" after the poor job of work she did. Yes, I came to get my eyebrows cleaned up as what I instructed. I had so many hairs I had to tell her to clean. I never had a problem with an eyebrow technician to where they could not clean up my eyebrows and blame my eyebrows. Please do not believe the photos and reviews. I was very fooled and unsatisfied. So happy I found Pooja. I had just finished eating at the nearby sushi restaurant when I noticed a big threading sign in Hair Sense's window. As it turns out, Pooja is renting a studio out of this hair salon (and the hair salon staff are all super friendly, too). Pooja is so gentle and she gives you the right shape to match your face. I really appreciate that she takes the time to perfect your arch and remove unwanted hairs. She's never rough. Some threaders seem a tad too confident with their skills. Or rushed? Pooja is AMAZING! I have been cursed with wild, curly eyebrows that had been waxed/threaded off so much I had to draw them on for awhile. After starting over and growing them out until they looked like Bert from Sesame Street, plucking the strays every now and then,I found Pooja and she has managed to tame them better than any other waxer/threader has done for me since well... ever. She's very since and always has openings but I noticed she's not that good with shaping the actual eyebrow. I get eyebrow thread about every 2 months and each time I have a slightly new shape. Not my favorite but u don't have a choice because there aren't many options in the area. read more
