This is a super cute restaurant next to a feed shop. The decor is creative and homey, and the waitress was very friendly. The back of the restaurant is colorful and decorated with metal large lawn ornaments. There is a fenced off area with sheep, goats and chicken. The buffalo chicken sandwich was fresh and well seasoned. The portion size was fair. The frito pie and the chili cheese taters tots were yummy. If you ever find yourself in Texarkana (like on a roadtrip from Houston to Hot Springs, AR) you need to make a stop here. It's not only a great restaurant, but a store with feed, seed, and cool gifts. They have live animals in the back and fun decor for random photos with family and friends. This review is mainly about the restaurant experience. The service was great - a perfect example of Southern hospitality. The ambiance was super unique with the decor and options to chill outside with the animals. The food was quite delicious. I ordered a Jim's salad because I was in the mood for Buffalo chicken but also something healthy. The lettuce was fresh and crispy. The croutons were also mouth-watering. Portion size was huge. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich also hit the spot. Portion size was impressive and flavors overall were spot on. Lastly, the lemon icebox was the perfect way to finish the meal. For the price, it was a high value meal! I highly recommend you to check this place out. It's called Three Chicks because of the 3 owners who left their jobs at a country club to start this business. (It's not a chicken place which is what I originally thought). Also you may want to call ahead and check the hours. I was looking for a restaurant that would be able to accommodate a party of 18 for lunch (Dillard University Volleyball from New Orleans, LA). I found Three Chicks, called and they were more than happy to host us. When we arrived everything was already set up for us. Everyone was so friendly. My players were able to get close to all the animals and allowed to be big kids and play in the bounce houses as well. No complaints about any of the food and dessert that was ordered. Lovely cafe serving up Sandwiches with Smiles. The menu has a wide variety of eclectic sandos to pick from, and I doubt you'd go wrong with any of them. The food tastes thoughtfully prepared, Buns are toasted, Sauces are homemade, vegetables aren't precut supermarket stuffs. Really was a treat. The ladies working there were so attentive and cheery. Made us feel special, even as we showed up 35mins before they closed up for the day. After a long day of driving they made it easy for us with a baby to enjoy a meal. Seating outside was dog friendly as well, convenient as we were road-tripping with the doggo. Plenty to look at with the chickens and goats for the kids. Such a fun place! My husband and I were traveling from Houston back home in Missouri in a day so it was a long one and wanted somewhere relaxing for a somewhat leisurely lunch. We picked the right spot! The server was just lovely. We didn't have any questions about the menu as we had done some research before getting there but I feel confident that the server would have answered any questions we would have had! My husband picked the Smoked Bologna Sandwich which he says was very good although his eyes were bigger than his tummy so the dogs will get to enjoy a bite of bologna when we get home! He also got a cup of chili. It was the all meat variety and he ordered it with onions and cheese. He says it had nice heat without being overpowering. I had Jim's salad. A large bowl of mixed greens topped with grilled chicken (my request as it's menued with crispy chicken) tossed with buffalo sauce served with ranch dressing. It was delicious! We also shared an order of tater tots which were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, perfect! Since they had soda in the can, we didn't have to worry about the Coke or Pepsi deal and were able to enjoy cold cans of Diet Coke over a good sized cup of ice. There was lots to look at in the store but we didn't linger too long as we had miles to go! I certainly recommend you trying it if you are anywhere close in the Texarkana area! I ordered the Chicken Salad on top of a mixed greens salad (instead of the bun). That was great! The chicken salad has nuts and something "different," perhaps cumin? We both liked it a lot. Hubs had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich w/coleslaw. That was good, too; the honey mustard on the sandwich was really nice. We were full, but the waitress said they had homemade Bread Pudding (for $2! ). So, we split that dessert and OMG it tasted just wonderful. The quirky part(s) are that you pay your restaurant bill in the Feed Store next door. But that turned out good because I purchased some interesting homemade jams (Sweet Onion, Cranberry/Orange, and Chocolate Strawberry). That was a bonus. I bought asaddle for my 5 year old granddaughter and other tack to go with it. I spent $350 on saddle and all together $545 on tack and all. 1 week after having saddle the leather start splitting on swell. We put some neatsfoot oil on saddle to clean and get dust off of saddle. Lady there said beens put oil on it can't take back. We have had saddle 6 days. It's had to believe that they will not do anything about it. What a great hidden treasure! We were driving to Hot Springs and made a stop here because we found it on Yelp. It had great reviews which we found to be true. It was funny because the workers had no idea they we even on Yelp and their reviews were really good. All the food was delicious and the service was great. While you are there enjoy the wild Turkey walking around, the goat farm, and all the seasonal decorations outside. We will be back!! read more

My family was traveling to Nashville from Dallas and we searched up best breakfast near us, this place came up. We stopped in only to find out they don't serve breakfast. The 5 stars of for the people that run it and the lunch foods we did eat. They were so sweet and accommodating. They opened up 30 minutes early for us so we didn't have to delay our travels longer that we'd like to. They had their children working around the cozy little farm, and a little girl sat us down and brought us some waters. She was so sweet and told us to have a blessed day. There is a feed store connected with little soaps and fruits and other items you can buy. They have animals everywhere, omg the pet turkey! How could i forget the pet turkey walking around greeting everyone. It was so cool! They also have cats, dogs, chickens and goats you can visit. The food was delicious and very fresh! Cute little eclectic restaurant attached to a feed store not far off highway. My husband & I had a strawberry pecan salad & chef salad. Both were very fresh and tasty. Dressings we're homemade & delicious. The sweet tea was good and we also had dessert. I had a fruit parfait and he had a chocolate fried pie. We were both happy. We were entertained by watching the chickens outside and looking at yard decor, that can be purchased from the feed store. We bought some homemade pepper jelly on our way out & can't wait to try it! What a sleeper! Left side feeds domesticated animals (farm). Right side feeds the wild animals! The menu selection is small BUT varied enough to please most. The Philly Cheesesteak is NOT usual. I can't say enough about this place, the people, inside & outside, it's simply what the doctor would order if she/her would tell you to take it easy. The food is outstanding! I love their Soups, Club sandwiches, Burgers, Salads, You gotta get there early to get any Chicken & Dumplings, so what does that tell you?.! The thing that impressed me the most, you'll see at least one of the three chicks out in the backyard or working behind the register, maybe helping bus tables.
