This store is so amazing! My dog has a very sensitive stomach and allergies. They make their treats with very limited ingredients which allows me to not worry about his tummy getting upset. I really love what Three Dog Bakery is doing and think that all of their baked goods are ADORABLE. I got very lucky on the day I went in because one of the employees there was very knowledgeable about animal health and dietary restrictions. Now, I did go in there for a cat, so in no way am I upset that they didn't have much for cats (it's called Three DOG Bakery of course), but I was a bit surprised that there was only one small display for cats. I think my biggest question, and this is my anxiety coming in, is how we're identifying that the baked goods are 100% okay for our pets. I know they wouldn't sell anything that would ever be toxic, but I know that cats and dogs are all lactose intolerant and their baked goods all seem to have some sort of light dairy frosting. I'd love a bit more information displayed in-store relevant to both cats and dogs to ease anxiety a little bit and not require that a knowledgeable staff member be present. I was so glad to stop by again this year to three dog to pick up some yummies for our pooch and toys for the kitty. This is always one stop the hubby and I are guaranteed to make each year we visit. With have two elder pets in the home, they had some great suggestions for our elder pooch(who just lost a tooth before our trip) for some soft treats for him to consume. They had some toys for the elder cat as well(they were gonna be getting more in soon(usually, they have a small treat selection, but not on this trip). So I picked up some new toys for the elder cat to enjoy. The staff is always so sweet and funny, it made my visit that much more fun. It was our boy's first birthday and we wanted to treat him to something special! Saw this place on Yelp and decided to stop by to grab him some birthday goodies. These puppy treats are beautiful and smell pretty dang good too! My husband and I were both pretty tempted to take a bite, but once the lady behind the counter advised us they were best suited for puppy taste buds, we decided we'd leave the tasting to our dog. I mean, it's a pup paradise with baked goodies, healthy treats, leashes, toys, pup ice cream, etc. The dog's nose is probably on hyper drive just getting near this little shop. It's definitely a place where quality trumps quantity, meaning the things here run a bit more on the pricey side but are also very nice. Last time in we picked up some traditional small peanut butter treats for my new pup Scout, and they let him have one to make sure he likes them. I have two Aussies and we always stop at Three Dog when we visit the Plaza. The staff is friendly and attentive; the treats sound tasty. My dogs always inhale the treats. I ask for soft ones because my dogs are on the older side (or just plain lazy of chewing) and they always have a really great selection. This is my very, favoritest store in the whole wide world. I wish I could live here. That would be the bestest ever. Then I could eat everything. Every time I come here, I have my routine. First, I don't know where to look. All the smells coming from here are so good that I don't know where to go first. I'll sniff my way towards the back of the store. The further back I go, the better it smells. It's right when I reach the very back that I find some of the best stuff that's out in the open - the rawhides. I've got to sniff each and every one of them. There are many times I'd like to grab one but I know better and don't do it because I know better stuff is coming my way. The better stuff is kept behind an invisible force field. I don't know what it is. My owner calls it "glass." Whatever. It's still an invisible force field. Behind this invisible force field lies a billion little baked goods. I wish I could have each and every single one of them. I usually only get one or two when we visit. That makes me a little sad since they're so delicious that I could eat them all! The other yummy thing are the dried treats. They are in bins towards the front of the store. Some of them I love and others I don't like so much. The best are the peanut butter ones and the cheese ones. I don't like the apple ones very much. Yuck! They also have other doggie stuff that's not food. My favorite are the squeaky toys. I love when humans squeak them. It makes me want to sit down and smile at them. Whenever I get a chance to hang out on the Plaza, I try to stop into TDB to pick up a treat for my furry friend at home. TDB is the kind of place where you are immediately made to feel welcome and you can't help but smile when looking around at all of the unique treats and accessories. I appreciate TDB's baked goods, though you get more bang for your buck when you buy treats in their pre-made boxes/packaging. It doesn't however, replace the "from the heart" sentiment of gifting your four legged friend a cheese pizza, or cat shaped baked good. Though there are locations throughout the US, this small shop on the Plaza makes you feel like it is a mom and pop organization with one thing in mind - the dogs. I actually say this because a little old lady in with her grown-up son couldn't get over the fact that those wonderful looking treats in the display case. She kept going on about how it was so novel, while chastising her son for not giving her grandkids and having cats instead. Anyway, if you have cats (or dogs, of course), this is a wonderful place to come and get something a little special for them. It is indeed a bakery but one for your pets, with actually most of the focus being on dogs. They are super dog-friendly and allow you to bring them in. In fact, there's a water bowl by the entrance and they give free samples. My dog loves coming here. He loves sniffing out the food and *loves* the free samples. If you're as hardcore as I am and actually have birthday parties for your dog, you can buy a small cake for them (personalized of course) and you get a small bag of food for free. Based on the extreme enthusiasm our dog, Sadie, showed as she scarfed down a special Three Dog Bakery treat last night, I'd say that 5 stars are warranted! Recently, Muncharoo offered a Three Dog Bakery deal, which we snapped up, as we know that dogs like cookies and treats as much as the rest of us! So, after lunch on the Plaza the other day, it was time to do some cookie shopping for Sadie. The store itself is very cute and welcoming, and the treats look good enough for people to eat! As others have mentioned, they all have cute names, too, like Puppermint Patties. (Yes, we got one of those!) As we had a bit to spend, we bought a couple of larger boxes of prepackaged goodies, and then selected a few special items out of the bakery case. The lady behind the counter was friendly, offering suggestions when we weren't sure what something was, and letting us take our time as we debated over which treats Sadie would like best...or which were the cutest! There were also toys, leashes, and other items on offer, in case we didn't feel like spending all of our money on treats. I'm going to be coming back for the adorable squeaky winged dragon I saw, as I think Sadie would love it. Everything at the bakery is made with human-grade chemical-free ingredients, which I really like. So, we feel good about spoiling Sadie, and she doesn't realize she's eating something that's relatively healthy for her. We didn't bring her in with us this time around, but as we were leaving, we saw a very excited canine shopper headed in. This location is great for when my puppy and I are taking sundown walks on the plaza and he needs a nice treat. Though their prices are fitting for the plaza (high), the staff are great and always greet you with a smile. "Dude" loves the cheese pizza's and we've even caught them on 'love your bully' day and he scored some free tasters and of course loved them all! They had some organic hot spot spray that has helped with his skin allergies quite well and it seems every visit is a great one at this location.
