This is a cute little outlet without the outlet prices. There's some interesting things in the store but very pricey. The taffy section was my favorite lots of flavors to choose from. Also the ginger ale is GREAT! They also offer hippo rides that travels around town and goes into the lake. Stop by just to check it out. read more

A must stop if you are in Polson or driving through. The Candy Room is a childs dream come true. Lots of fun gifts and of course down comforters, blankets, pillows, you name it. Yes there comforters are not bargain prices but I have had mine 20 years. Still the same owner, still the same amazing quality. No yellowing like cheaper comforters and I throw mine in the washer and dryer. (Don't tell the owner Bob, I'm probably not supposed to do that. But 20 years later it looks and acts like new). You get what you pay for at this place! read more

First time stopping in the store after passing by it many a times. My husband has bought many worthy items from here. Some people say they are spendy. It is worth it to us to spend a little extra for great quality products!! The pillow he purchased for me is the best pillow I have slept on ever. I have spent more money on multiple pillows in 35 years, than what just this one pillow cost. No neck pain, a great nights sleep to say the least. I purchased their taffy and love the large variety. I just had to get 2 of every flavor! The wonderful choices you have for customizing your own bedspread/duvet is an delightful touch. We were in Montana for my wife's birthday and decided to drive around the lake and play tourist. We saw the sign for the Outlet and decided to stop in. My wife said she had seen the billboards for years and had always been wanting to see the place. Bob met us at the front door with a sweet Border Collie. He gave us each a bottle of water just for stopping in and then told us how the store was laid out. We wandered around looking at all the unique and funny things for sale. Bought a pound of salt-water taffy (huge selection) for my mom as she loves the stuff. It was definitely a nice stop to stretch your legs, sample some taffy, meet a very friendly and unique character and support a local business. read more

Recently a group of 12 if us went on the "Hippo" expecting a splashy/speedy ride on Flathead Lake. That is what the website & ads suggest. To follow is a cut & paste of my email to Three Dog Down: "I recently spent $300 for 12 people to take this ride. I was very disappointed to pay that much for a water gun fight which is really about all it amounted to. I thot I hadn't read the website or comments closely enough and lesson learned. But, in the last day I have read your ads and the comments about the ride. Everything stated promises a speedy, wet ride. Nothing is said about getting wet because of squirt guns and actually just having employees dump buckets of water on riders. A couple kids really disliked it and a couple were bored." Unless you want to pay $25 per person for a water gun fight I suggest you look elsewhere for entertainment. read more

I love the stuff in this store. The review posted about too many stuffed animals was a bit ridiculous, but whatever! Bob & Brenda are great and so friendly. I purchased a pillow about 4 years ago and am sending it in to be cleaned, re-ticked and have a bit more down added. They make it quick and convenient. I absolutely love this pillow and they make it so easy to have the pillow restored (for not much $$$) that I will have this pillow forever! It is worth spending the extra money on a true down pillow, not a cheap thing that sticks you in the face. Money well spent to be sure, I sleep great and it helps my neck pain. Thank you guys! I've shopped Bob's Three Dog Down for multiple purchases: half dog, two dog and pillows. I find all I encounter to be personable and knowledgeable. The down products sold are of high quality meant to last a lifetime. Bob's whimsical disposition makes me want to purchase at the store instead of online/over the phone, but all transactions are just great. He even made a special pillow for my brother in law. read more

I went in here on vacation looking for a Montana souvenir sweatshirt of some sort since it is supposed to be the biggest store in Polson. What I found was a bunch of over priced trinket stuff from like the dollar store in one shop, clothing that was all about the Three Dog Down name on everything, most of it seemed extremely overpriced and a little ridiculous. We had to step over stuffed animals that would start laughing as you walked by and rolling on their own almost tripping you if you did not pay attention to the floor instead of what the store had to offer. I am really disappointed in the selection of things Montana related. read more
