Walked into 3k without a firm idea of what I wanted. I just knew I wanted my new piece to be on my arm and to match the patriotic theme that I had already established. Logan, my artist, helped me browse thru the collection of American-traditional art that was throughout the shop and we found one that I really liked. We changed the colors a bit and got to work. Over the past few years I have been fortunate enough to get a few tattoos from this studio both as a walk in and pre scheduled. I highly recommend this location they are incredibly professional and clean. My experience has always been positive as the artist have been truly collaborative throughout the process (one of the tattoos was my own design/drawing that shading was then added to, one was incorporating part of a photo into a vision with reference photos/description and creating a unique piece). TLDR: book with Chris, he has years of experience to execute complex tattoos easily. Tattooed by Chris Koustas. Shop was clean and modern. I filled out an online form for a coverup of a disaster tattoo from my youth. They called me back later that day and told me to call Tuesday morning for a consultation. Chris came recommended by many. I called Tuesday morning and the friendly lady said call back 30 mins before I arrive and Chris can speak to me. As a person who is a planner I didn't love that. I would have preferred a block of time to meet with an artist and formally go over what I'd like. I call and show up and luckily he is finishing up. He looks at my tattoo and decides I have a choice between tribal or roses for cover. I go with roses. He said he would do three and it would be between 3-400. I put down the 100 deposit and locked in for a week later at noon. The night before the appointment Chris called me asking if I had reference pictures. I was caught off guard because it seemed he didn't remember our consult. He said he's good and he got it. About half an hour later I called back the shop asking if I should come back in. They told me they would tell him the message. He called me back right away and explained his process. I asked if I could send a pic just to ensure we are good to go. This is a cover up so I was rather uneasy as it was. He assured me. The day of he was on time and prepared. The tattoo was very fast and he was really great about giving me breaks when needed. My sister and I decided to get a tattoo a while ago and have been looking for a great shop to get it at. I did a google search and read reviews and decided on Three Kings. I called and asked if they take walk ins and they did. I drove over and was greeted by a very friendly guy at the counter. At first he told me there was a wait and he would call me when my appointment was ready but then squeezed me in right away! Malory was my artist and was so friendly and nice. She went over everything she was going to and made sure I was happy with the font, size and location before we got going. I got a tattoo in Hebrew and funny enough one of the other artists could read it and confirmed I had the right spelling. She told me if I was in any pain she would stop and take a break. Luckily it was painless. All the equipment is sanitized and new. Fresh needles, gloves, alcohol wipes etc. Very clean and I felt very safe. The results were amazing. After getting my tattoo there, I recommend my sister. She also had Malory and again she did an amazing job! This is probably the best tattoo shop on LI or probably NY. Felt ripped off, 125$ for a tiny tattoo, my boyfriend got the simplist lightning bolt for 100$(cuz that's the minimum) and the ink raised even tho he took proper care of it, and the lines aren't sharp. Also felt that the artist was close mined about the tattoo ideas that we had, and my finger tattoos aren't even faded and blotchy as much as the one that I had gotten.
