I have nothing good to say about this place. My Grandmother was there for three weeks. Her second…read moreday there she was told by another individual, "It's easy to get in but it's hard to leave." No truer words have ever been spoken! The nurses took horrible care of my Grandmother... they were rude to her, told her she was too much trouble. She sent her laundry to get cleaned and they never returned it. They also violated her confidentiality TWICE!!!! That is completely illegal and unethical. The week before her scheduled discharge, the facility actually called my mother and told her my Grandmother did not want to return home which was a LIE! My Grandmother couldn't wait to leave this horrible place. The day of her discharge, because she did not "follow her discharge plan" (direct quote from the Facility Administrator - Jill Acosta - who is horrible!) they discharged her AMA (Against Medical Advice) and discharged her WITHOUT any of her medications. Side note - She always told the facility she was never going to stay and her plan was to return home. So they are also falsifying medical records. My Grandmother was in this place for a severe eye infection and she has a heart condition. They put her in GRAVE danger. It's illegal to discharge her without medications. I called Jill Acosta, who now refuses to return any of my phone calls, and she blatantly lied to me on the phone about the discharge plan and not following it. The only thing I can think of is that this horrible place gets kick backs from other facilities which is AGAINST THE LAW!!!! Stark Law. Whatever you do--- DO NOT GO HERE! I wouldn't send my worst enemy here.

Some people only take the job because they do not have other job options. Some have the job simply because they need experience in health care. Some take this position BECAUSE they do have the passion to serve and to care for others at the same time seeking and exploring experiences as to aid their future career path. That's me! I worked in this facility for one summer (summer of 2015). I serve my residents regardless of their situations. I had great experiences with my residents and co-workers. we went through hard time and good time together. I made friends and lost along the way. Trust me, nursing home work is not as easy as many think. It is not only physically hard, we are mentally drained from emotionally dealt with unimaginable things happen in the nursing home: from co-workers conflict to residents behaviors to residents death! But that is not an excuse for many workers to serve residents by behaving toward them as if they are less then human. When I worked there, everyone I served, I served them as if they were my parents. I served them the way I wanted to be served when it is my time in the place they are. And that is how every health care worker should do. But again, there are some people out there doing the work they do because they have no other options. But those people and their negative contribution to health care system should not be generalized to other workers, such as me and many others who work from their heart along with their hands.

There is a nice coffee/Tv area, 2 lunch passes and an efficient cafeteria. The hospital and doctors had great floow-up, provided their phone numbers if complications and called to make sure we were doing good at home. Each of the staff took time to explain the process, equipment and what to expect. Best hospital service we have ever been exposed to, a very nice facility that actually cares for it's senior citizens!

Upon check-in, the front desk person told me that I was in pre-collection loud enough for the waiting room to hear. This was not true, which I proved by calling the billing people while I was in the office. It was humiliating even though it was not true, and they never apologized for this. I was at a busy lakefront restaurant, with a friend when a magnet popped out of the lense within 2-3 hours of having them. The lenses felt loose, especially compared to my numerous, previous trusted Oakley brand prescription glasses. I called & I was told to bring them in & they could fix them while I wait. I drive from an hour & a half away to bring them in & am told no one is there to fix them & I can drop them off and pick them up after the weekend on Monday. I get a call the following morning saying they were ready. Again, they tell me one thing and do another. The staff is all "nice" but NOT one person acknowledged or apologized for how much of an inconvenience it was for me, the customer. I have owned numerous Oakley glasses for decades & have never had a problem. Just with this eye care center. I have had to adjust two different days of my schedule/time to have repairs done & drive back to pick them up. I lost daylight time, other expenses like gas, when I could have been doing other things. Hours out of my day & not one acknowledgment! I will go back to my former Eye care place that isn't as costly on top of it from now on. Lesson learned! At my other eye doctor place, I got prescription polarized "sunglasses" for at least $100 to $150 cheaper than what I paid them for "CLIP ONS." There's a similar review I read where they showed zero concern as well. I've run multimillion dollar companies & trained management, employed thousands of diverse people, I imagine someone told them "not" to say sorry or be apologetic because it might "imply" fault on their part. But, A little empathy/sympathy goes a long way. They knew I was irritated by the situation & their obvious inferior product or someone's apparent ineptitude & did nothing to sympathize or show empathy. They seemingly do not appreciate their customers & it's obvious. I thought I was helping a small town business. When I originally walked in they hounded me like I might steal some $2 glass frames. I simply wanted to see & pick out my glasses before deciding to go with them & I politely told them I was looking for Oakley brand specifically, if I didn't find any I liked I would go somewhere else. They tried getting my name and information before I had even decided to go with them. I should have noted that as a red flag and left & gone somewhere that are used to diversity in skin tone. I wouldn't trust buying the clip on magnetic sunglasses if this is how it's going to be. I typically don't waste my time on reviews but I have had enough of businesses that show zero remorse and pass off inferior product at high end prices. They seemingly have a huge overhead in staff that hound you, except when you bring it in for repairs, then no one is there, like I was told there would be. It should have all been done right the first time. Incompetence, inferior product and zero accountability really bothers me. I'll wear my old prescription glasses and prescription sunglasses so I don't break my new ones again and waste more time with this company.
