Really enjoyed this place. It's not too far to walk from the port but there's also a free shuttle. The atmosphere here is just fun. Service was great. We got lots of information about the meads and ciders. My favorite was the cinnamon crisp cider - but I like sweet drinks. My boyfriend wished there were a few beers since he isn't as in to sweet drinks as I am. There were dryer meads and ciders but for him they didn't work. I loved the sweet ones- the cranberry, the blueberry and the cinnamon. Anyway, it's such a to fun place give it a try! read more

Okay, we stopped here on our Alaska cruise, which was awesome. We were sailing on the Carnival Miracle. I stopped in here because I love to try local breweries and restaurants. I got the sampler. They had a great selection. Their hard cider's and sodas are exceptional. Give this place a try. Support small and local businesses! read more

Cool spot with a woodsy Norseman vibe where you can freely indulge in peanuts and throw the shells onto the floor, all while imbibing in the most delicious meads, ciders & hard sodas (can it get any better?!). I didn't even know I liked meads until I tried them here for the first time. Loved the flight option where you can try several offerings. Great place to visit while in beautiful Haines. read more

Why ya'll mead people always gotta go so sweet and so high abv? Meads can be all sorts of things. As far as sugar, they can be sweet, semi-sweet, or the most bone-dry thing you've ever tasted. They can be flat, mildy-carbonated, or more fizzy than the fizziest champagne. For whatever reason, many mead makers veer towards sweet and flat. That's how I'd characterize the meads here. The mead menu doesn't really indicate the sweetness of any of these meads. So I got a small sample of one that said was among the driest and...I found it so cloying as to be nearly undrinkable for my palate. The ambiance here is great, the women working here was very friendly. They just really need more variety when it comes to the meads. They are sticky sweet and very high alcohol. Just not my style. I like a dry, fizzy, 7-8% abv. Most of these are sweet, flat, and 14-17% abv. If that sounds like something you're into, give them a shot! Suggestion for the business: indicate the sweetness levels of the meads on the menu! This is just as important as the ABV! read more
