This was the worse campground we'd ever been too. It was dirty and unkempt. The only good part was that it was quiet.

We stayed here for three nights and had no complaints. There's lots of trees and very peaceful. Compared to many campgrounds, we did not feel crowded in and had a pretty green space behind us and in front of us. The site was pretty level and had a nice gravel, rock-lined area with a picnic table and fire pit. No septic at our site #3. Dogs are allowed on leash, no pool, but a pond with a fountain at the entrance. The hosts were friendly. Not a lot of amenities, but pleasant!

What a delight it was to stay at Three Springs! Rachel was wonderful! The cabin was clean & well kept, the check-out process was easy. We stayed with a group who stayed in an RV spot. They loved it as well. Showers were HOT, with great pressure, and clean! Can't wait to come back!

Marvelous campground from the moment we entered the park. Check-in is fast & easy. The owner, Chris, meets every camper at their site & helps them back in. SO helpful! All campsites are equally nice. Tent sites are gorgeous. Manicured lawn & grounds. Lots of tall trees for shade. There are three hiking trails anyone can accomplish. We are full time in our RV so we appreciate when we find serenity & we definitely found it here. Showers are clean and well kept. Good water pressure. Paved road all the way in, then well kept gravel road in the campground. Nice and smooth. Excellent for running or walking too. The campground is surrounded by lush woods. Chris brought the honey wagon to our RV & took great care when he hooked up & disengaged. This campground is very close to The Ark & Walmart is 12 miles up hwy 75 so it's a quick drive. We were here while it's rained all day & there are no flooded areas. We have three dogs and they were allowed. It's a little piece of heaven here and we will definitely keep a record of Three Springs to visit again for at least a month if not longer. I posted photos of the campground so please check them out.

Anything I have to say about this campground must be taken in the context that apparently, they had suffered from some flood damage the weekend before we arrived. I was the first to arrive with a group. Upon check-in, I quickly found out that I couldn't change my reservation to one night instead of two. I can return and have one night free, but I'm not sure I can transfer that to anyone else. So buyers beware. As more of our group arrived, we found out that 1) there are no sewer connections, 2) there is only one washer/dryer-so basically no laundry because one of the machines was down, and 3) said "laundromat" closes at 7 pm EDT. The ladies in our group had to drive 17 miles to the nearest laundromat to do laundry. The pool was in deplorable condition, but that may have been from all the rain. The bathrooms were clean, but the showers were terrible-basically a trickle at "full force" which a sign on the wall says not to use full force as it will flood the bathroom and is not necessary. ⁉ On the plus side, the location is ideal for quick access to the Ark Encounter. The property itself is pretty. There was some pretty scenery and wildflowers. We pitched our tent beside a babbling brook. It was a bit buggy, but there was a muddy pond nearby that probably was a mosquito haven. Here's hoping this campground can improve and the owners can properly advertise their amenities so folks can be prepared and know what to expect.

This was a clean campground with plenty for kids to do. The pool was very clean and I saw the lifeguard check the chemicals multiple times. For adults, theres a nice little bar. Definitely no complaints there! But, what stood out for my friend and I, was the exceptional customer service. And while I won't go into details, we found ourselves in a situation and the owners went way above and beyond to help us out! We couldn't be any more grateful for their kindness to us strangers! I told my husband I would definitely like to return for a longer stay, for that alone! If the owners see this, again, thank you so much for your help, we truly appreciate it! Can't wait to return!

There are plenty of places around the park to just sit and enjoy a book. Some sites offer fires, but ours didn't. There are two laundry locations, but they only have a few washers and dryers. That's not enough when the park has 230 sites. Expect to wait for one to open. You do have a picnic table, but it's time to repair them. They did add in their flyer to call if you have an issue with your picnic table. You mow and clean up your site after someone stays, so you should already see any table issues. When I get to a site I've already spent many hours driving and don't want to call with any issues. I want to set up, relax, and enjoy the amenities. The property is very clean and well managed. They have an employee take you to your site and assist you in pulling in. We would definitely stay here again!!

It's nestled back into nature and right on the Kentucky River of course. We are full timers and have been living here for 4 months and we are going to be sad to leave. The campground is filled with everything you need. There's an awesome common room with tables a fridge stove TV/Cable also A WiFi Cafe (just ask for password) and laundry room. So many things all there for your use. There's also an awesome men's and womens restroom that they just redid the floors in and are now painting! Two showers each is very convenient. If you want a fire pit by your camper just ask! Most people here have their own. You may not be parked on the river. But it's just. Short walk and benches are available for enjoying the views. It's a very short walk to the water from anywhere in the camp. Most of the campers here are share holders and only come for the weekends so during the week it's very quite and relaxing. Many weekends there have been live bands and so many other fun activities going on! Every is usually friendly and polite. Don't forget to wave at your neighbors! Charles, Rus, and another gentleman (sorry I forgot your name) do an amazing job to accommodate you during your stay and work hard to make the campground what it is. Don't forget the office where you'll check in and such has items available for sale from sweets to t shirts.

Grounds were well maintained. Nice, quiet, and peaceful location for a quick stay or extended trip. Would definitely return. Most impressed with all the staff and campers that made us feel like family. Since we were without a truck for 6 days, we were offered rides, food or anything we needed. One long term camper, Chuck offered us his truck for the day! In traveling, you don't always look at the physical amenities a place has to offer, but the personal connection that the "camping family" provides. Thanks Angie, Russ, Chuck, Kelly, Bryan and all. While our truck was delivered back to us, the kitchen slide broke (on our new camper) . Sadly, our long awaited trip to Maine was cancelled as we had to return home. Still waiting for repairs.

Let's try this again since google keeps taking it down!…read more I've been to River Ridge a few times, but this first visit of the season was a disaster from the moment I arrived. 1. The "Lodge" Trailer Calling that trailer a "lodge" is laughable. It reeks of mold and dog urine the second you walk in. It's filthy, outdated, and honestly embarrassing. The carpet looks as though it's harboring the next pandemic virus! The guest bathroom is disgusting -- dirty, neglected, and that random garden‑tub shower with a moldy clear curtain in the middle of the room is just gross. Dave, the manager, is nice but clearly overwhelmed and running the place by himself. His husband, however, gave off extremely uncomfortable vibes. Nothing about that interaction felt professional. 2. Rental Campers The rental campers are a rip‑off. I've stayed in the Mallard and the old retro one -- both were filthy and poorly maintained. This time in the retro one, it was the same story: dirt, dead bugs, spider webs, dried urine around the toilet, and a "shower" that's literally a galvanized bucket sitting on a floor that feels like it's about to collapse. For the prices they charge, it's shameful. I've heard the cabins are better, but at this point I'm not holding my breath. 3. "Fort Licking" Play Area The indoor part is small and gets smelly fast. Any possibility of ventilation? The outdoor area is a mud pit with old, falling‑apart wooden structures. No grass, no mulch, nothing. It looks abandoned. 4. Rosie's Clubhouse Rosie's is cluttered and needs a deep clean. Stuff is shoved against every wall. The new floor looks terrible -- bubbling, peeling, uneven -- and the fact that they had to announce not to drag chairs across it says everything. If this was a professional job I really hope they got their money back. 5. Outdoor Shower House The open‑air showers are nice, but the bathroom side is disgusting. It looks like it's barely cleaned. And the saloon doors? Absolutely not. There's almost zero privacy. You can practically see someone using the toilet from outside. Who thought that was acceptable? Someone have a scat fetish?? A 6. Pool Area The pool looks good and is bigger than before. But the "hot pods" -- two plastic tubs with makeshift plumbing -- are nasty. One was hot, both looked dirty, and there's no way that setup can handle the number of people using them. It felt more like a human soup pot than a hot tub. 7. Grounds & Maintenance The grounds are depressing. No landscaping except at the permanent sites. A metal carport by the pool stuffed with junk. Everything looks neglected. It genuinely feels like the owners have stopped caring. some mulch and a few plants could go a long way. I've also seen posts about the owners being anti‑trans. I hope that's not true, but based on what I've heard, I'm not convinced. It's disappointing and out of touch with the community they claim to serve. The Only Good Part: The permanent residents. They're the reason this place still has any soul. They were warm, fun, welcoming, and honestly the highlight of the entire weekend. The DJ (Dylan) was great, and the group around the fire -- Kirby, Chad, and I think Louis,(skinny, blonde, more feminine) and others -- had me laughing nonstop. Bottom Line I don't know if I'll be back this year. If I do return, it'll be for the people -- not the so‑called "amenities." I hope the owners and management wake up, take pride in what they have, and fix the mess they've let this place become
