I typically would not write a review as a guest, but I have to make an exception for the Apiary. My brother and his wife had their ceremony and reception here the weekend before last and it could not have been more perfect. Complimentary valet parking was available for the wedding and very appreciated. There isn't a ton of parking in the area so this is the perfect solution, especially on a rainy day. Valets were ready to go even when we arrived, about 45 minutes before the ceremony. Just remember cash to tip! The Apiary grounds and building are beautiful and well maintained with historical charm. The grounds were worth exploring with beautiful greenery, stone benches, and water features. The hard cover pavilion was the perfect spot for an outdoor wedding with protection from the rainy day. For a wedding of about 60 guests there was more than enough space. Inside, a lovely gathering room and bar area were comfortable for the time before and in between the festivities. The bridal party had a large cellar area to get ready. The bathrooms were conveniently located in between the ceremony site and reception room. The food here was absolutely amazing and truly on par with a meal at a fine dining restaurant. I live in Las Vegas and it was like eating at a fine restaurant here. The service was over the top with perfect timing and professionalism. The whole service team would line up to serve and remove courses at the same time. The attention to detail really added something to the event. Zero proof cocktails were offered to non-drinkers and the two children in attendance were provided special meals. Our meal started with Caesar Salads. It was one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had and a hearty portion. The Parker house rolls were warm and buttery. The Beef meal had delicious slices of tender beef, crispy potatoes, and green beans. The kid's meal was really tasty with both healthy options and foods kids typically love. The venue was on top of accommodating food allergies by asking each guest if they had allergies before the meal. The groom has food allergies and he was able to enjoy a lovely meal that evening. The Apiary sent an already beautiful event over the top. My brother and his wife made a fantastic choice in where to celebrate their big day.

My husband's and my meals were delicious!! We had creative dishes to choose from and I added pictures so you can see the presentation's. My husband enjoyed his old fashion so much he had another. I chose to go with the wine paring and it was the right move!! The grounds are pretty with beautiful trees, flowers, and bushes. There are herbs and vegetables that are used in the dishes. I'm unsure when the Inn was built, but I love the sound of the wooden floors. The choice of curtains, wall decor and the hand painted mural was a nice touch. The silverware was replaced after each dish. The hostess was so nice and took our pictures at the front entrance. Be sure to call and make reservations. The meal can be $$ or $$$, depending what you order. We decided to go out and treat ourselves to a wonderful meal and it was worth every bit!!

Alicia W provided exceptional service and was a joy to talk to. We tried the caviar and duck rilletes to share. The rilletes were the only thing we thought we could have done without. The duck is a bit rich and stringy and the bread really detracted from the dish - too hard and chewy. That said, the portions of each were very generous. Next we had the aguachile and corzetti with garlic scape pesto. The shrimp reminded me of ceviche as far as flavor profile. The pasta was unique from our perspective - never had corzetti. Both dishes were very good. Next was the salad as we do not like beets or gazpacho. Nice fresh salad with a dressing that was better than a typical vinaigrette. For mains we had the duck and the ribeye. Duck was prepared perfectly and the ribeye had a pesto and the patatas braves with accompanying (mild) chili sauce was a nice side addition. Very Espana!! Couldn't finish the steak by that point but enjoyed it a few days later. And finally the cheesecake and chocolate hazelnut choux pastry. The pastry was awesome!! All-in-all we were very happy we dined here.

I ordered the burger without the bun or fries, and it was so overly salty that I struggled to finish it. My wife had the CACIO de PEPE, which tasted quite different from what we're used to, and the pasta was overcooked for our liking. My brother-in-law ordered the fish tacos, which were easily the standout dish at the table. My sister's chicken cesar salad was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The restaurant itself feels a bit unexpected for a rural setting, which may help explain its strong ratings. For me, though, it's not a place I'd go out of my way to visit again--more of a "fine if someone else suggests it" kind of spot.

The atmosphere is super cozy and we felt welcomed from our first steps in. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and we met Michaela who took fabulous care of us for the evening! We settled in to a couple of their specialty cocktails (midwinters night dream and cardamaro manhattans - yummy I'll say) and the Brussel Sprout starter. Let me say to come hungry because the portions are large but yummy. The sprouts are a meal all by themselves! But there's more! I had the porcini rubbed filet and Teresa had the cabbage confit. Both portions were sizable and while I know she loved her cabbage, I was in heaven with a perfectly prepared filet that just melted in my mouth. Plus the asparagus spears and the Okinawa sweet potato mash were perfect accompaniment! Sadly, there was so much goodness we ended up bringing some home and we'll have to come back for dessert and another menu sampling. All in all a very memorable experience and a great place for a birthday dinner! But we'll be back just because! Special closing shout out to Michaela for taking such great care of us.
