We love our new roof and gutters! After getting 4 estimates, we are happy we chose Three Tree Roofing. The roof with almost invisible ridge vents and the matching gutters look great - so much better than a friend's tried and true old-style new roof! It was an excellent process from start to finish. Sonia was professional and provided a thorough estimate. She was the only estimator of 4 who checked our attic and found that we needed to replace some plywood and add eave vents. She wrote the estimate from her mobile office van outside my house. Rather than waiting a few days, she brought it to me right away, personally going through it together while showing me the system and products they use. I had confidence in the accuracy because of her thorough inspection and measurements. Their products and systems are innovative, higher quality, much longer lasting with longer warranty than what the other companies offered  - not the tried and true old ways. I was fascinated that they cut a small strip in the plywood and put a venting product all across the ridge. But check that out for yourself, as I do not guarantee my technical accuracy. Victor led the 4-man crew to complete the tear-off and new roof in 3 days. They were polite and respectful, with no loud music, yelling, or swearing (unlike a friend's recent roofing crew). They kept my yard clean every day, hand stacked and carried the old shingles to the dumpster, carefully looked for any fallen waste, blew and disposed of all the debris. They even saw the need, offered, and put a roof on my small uncovered patio. Our new gutters with guards were replaced a few days later. Patrick gently helped me to see that black gutters would look much better with my black roof and black fascia boards than the white I initially chose, and they were absolutely right! I'm so pleased with the finished look! The crew came up with creative and effective solutions for my quirky old house. They explained the process as I watched them make the gutters on-site. They returned the next day to swap out black for the temporary white downspouts. Three Tree Roofing was not the cheapest of my 4 estimates, but we were not looking for cheap. Three Tree Roofing employees worked on my re-roof project as a well-seasoned team of metal roofing experts and craftsmen from beginning to end. They truly understand and deliver topnotch client service. My adventure began with a call to C. J. McConaghy. He listened patiently to my project parameters and kindly answered my initial questions. He passed my project information to Chase Glidden. Chase met me on site to examine the roof and discuss my needs. I had some previous experience with another metal reroofing project and thus had many questions about materials, workmanship, and project duration. Chase answered all of my questions and highlighted examples of attention to details that assure a top-notch metal roof installation. During the next few days, Chase patiently produced cost estimates for several roofing scenarios of different metal materials, shapes, and colors to stay within my budget and quality parameters. We signed a contract. Jon, materials estimator, arrived within a few days. He carefully measured for the various pieces of roof panels, edge flashing, ridge flashing, wall vent flashing, and fan vents. He reviewed the estimate with me to assure all of my detailed concerns would be addressed. Three Tree arranged delivery of a large bin for debris and a portable restroom ahead of the project start date. The items were placed on site for the work crew's convenience and with consideration for our home and garage access requirements. The construction crew arrived when the customary fall rainy weather finally permitted. The crew, a supervisor and three laborers, worked for six days. Each workday began around 8:00 and ended around 5:00. The crew members were steady productive workers. I saw no wasted motions or idle crew moments each day. The crew maintained an accessible work site. So, my family's activities were not impacted during each day. The crew meticulously tidied and cleaned the site at the end of each workday. I monitored the project daily and directed questions and concerns to the supervisor for timely discussion. There were no surprises or conflicts with the crew. They worked like professionals. On the recommendation of a friend, who does a lot of research when hiring a company to do work on their home, I hired Three Tree to replace my 18-year-old roof with asphalt shingles that was beginning to show wear (bare spots where granules had washed off). Their estimator did a thorough inspection, looking at both the roof surface as well as the underside from the attic (for water penetration). We had a long talk about the many options available as well as revamping the attic ventilation, which had been tinkered with in earlier roofing jobs. I quickly received a detailed quote which had checkboxes to select the various options, and then at my request a revised quote to add some items discussed but had not been included. Communication was easy and prompt. Because we have a low pitch roof (about 3:12 -- the original roof surface had been torch down, later converted to shingles) -- they would add a second barrier layer before the shingles went down. Plywood decking would be replaced as necessary (there was an option to replace all the panels). The ventilation would be improved by replacing the original ridge vent, adding a second ridge vent orthogonal to the first, and removing unnecessary vents added earlier. The existing gutter system would be replaced with a continuous covered gutter (no more scooping gunk out of the gutter several times a year). I had also contacted another roofing company that specialized in low-pitch roofs. They wouldn't even bid on replacing the shingles, but would only replace the shingles with torch down--the original covering. And no work on the ventilation or gutters was offered. Three Tree started work in late October, pretty much when they estimated they would, and finished the roof by the afternoon of the second day. They did a clean sweep when they were done, picking up any debris. The gutter company showed up the following week and put the gutters up in a few hours. Since then we've been swept by multiple "atmospheric river" events and the roof has performed flawlessly. When it rains, I can hear the water coursing through the gutters, unimpeded by leaves and fir needles. I would recommend them unconditionally. read more

Three Tree Roofing did a great job on our roof. I highly recommend their high quality work and ethical business practices. We knew that we needed to replace the sagging sheets of ply-board on our roof and we wanted the 50 year CertainTeed Presidential shingles. It was important to us to find a certified installer we could trust. After meeting with a lot of roofing companies, we chose Three Tree Roofing because they offered the most value with highest ratings for installation of the type of roofing materials we wanted. The crew was very professional and cleaned up everything before they left for the day. We purchased some plywood we were going to put in the attic for a floor later and I asked the crew if they could set the boards in our attic while they have the roof open. They were really nice and had no problem putting them in our attic before they closed the roof up again. The roof looks great! We have had the roof long enough to have a couple really good hard western Washington rains and there are no leaks. The ridge vent is working well and not a drop of rain is coming into the attic. We had our gutters replaced by Three Tree too. Our original gutters were larger than our new gutters. There were some areas that the water from the roof was not going directly into the gutters and Three Tree Roofing sent someone out to come and work on the minor tweaks needed to make it perfect. Because our original gutters were so large we never had fascia boards. Three Tree Roofing installed new fascia boards at no charge to help fix the concerns we had about the gutters. It was very important to them to make sure that we were completely happy. I really appreciate that they made sure that our roof and the work they did for us will last for 50 years. read more

Three Tree Roofing put a new roof on my house a few months back, and they were excellent all around. Mine was a complicated job - there were about 3 layers of old roofing that had to be removed, with no easy access for a dumpster set up (very urban property on Capitol Hill, no driveway, no alley). I did my research and got six estimates. Two additional companies were called but said they couldn't do it due to the challenging access issues. Three companies were significantly higher in price, and Three Tree Roofing was right in line with two others in the lower price range. I decided to go with Three Tree because David was very detailed and patient in answering all of my questions, gave me suggestions for how to address my chimney cover (cheaply) and clearly set expectations about the process. Once we signed the contract, communication from Neil and the project team was excellent. When the job started, Jose and the crew were very professional and also great communicators. It rained super hard for a couple of days after they started, and they weren't able to work due to the weather but they double-tarped the exposed roof area and came to check on it both days. The job was done with no hiccups, and clean-up for my property and the surrounding neighbor properties was excellent. We had a fantastic experience with Three Tree Roofing on all accounts. Every single person with the company was professional, friendly, and reliable. We got a quote with the entire price breakdown onsite after Mike did the initial walk-through which was appreciated and helped us to move forward quickly. When the actual work began, the work team was exceptional. We couldn't believe how efficiently they worked. Our roof was in poor shape with three layers of shingles, a completely messed up chimney, and lots of rotting wood that needed to be replaced. Victor and his team fixed everything, put the new roof on, fixed all of our kitchen and bathroom vents (which had been improperly set up by previous owners), and installed 4 new skylights in 3 days flat. It took one more short morning for the gutter team to install the new gutters, and that was it. Our new roof looks amazing, the skylights are incredible, the vents all work perfectly now, and the entire experience was nothing but pleasant. I should note also that I was at home much of the day with a toddler during the roofing process, and, while it was noisy at times, it was completely fine because the workers were so respectful and professional. I needed a new roof as I was going to put my house on the market and I needed to find a roofer quickly and one that wasn't too out of my price range. After meeting with all 7 roofers I found, I looked over all the estimates and had taken notes on all of the sales men who came out to give me estimates and I decided on Three Tree Roofing and I will tell you why. David the sales representative did a thorough exam of my roof and attic space and when he was done, explained exactly what was wrong with the roof and showed me area's of concern and explained everything to me in very easy to understand terminology. He was friendly and informative and at no time did I feel he was giving me a high pressure sale. I am very glad that i hired three tree to replace my roof a couple of months ago. Their quote was very reasonable and CJ provided very detailed explanation of different options in my case. He did not try to upsell and in fact, i decided to up a notch to make a good selling point for myself in the future. The crew was very friendly and professional. They replaced a few boards at my requests and explained patiently that i might be over cautious by requesting to replace too many boards - they could have made more money by accepting my requests but they did not! After 3 days, they were done with the job and went extra mile to align my gutter and even cleaned my dryer vent. They did a magnetic sweep so there was no nails left and hauled their honey bucket right after the job was done. Throughout the process, the communications with Neil (owner), CJ (sales) and Jose (crew lead) were very pleasant and efficient. i did not write a review immediately as i have been busy and also wanted to see how the roof performs in the wet weather. From the re-roof estimate to the finished roof, my experience with Three Tree was 100% positive. I had a fairly involved project that involved removing a 50+ year old concrete tile monstrosity that was starting to leak. Three Tree's estimate was competitive and in line with other estimates I got for the project, but I could tell Three Tree were "detail" people, and I appreciated all the details and options in the estimate. I even went with the tubular skylight option, which turned out awesome. Their staff are incredibly communicative, answering all of my questions, and their specialists are true experts. Were our roofing team leader, Dino, to enter the Roofing Olympics he would for sure win a gold medal. I have never seen anyone multi-task and lead a team of roofers with such professionalism and ease. All of our neighbors have commented not only on how great the roof looks, but how efficiently the team worked throughout. Got seven bids on a roof replacement. Three Tree was in the lower-middle on price, and over $15k less than the high bid. In the end I chose them as the sweet spot between price and good reputation via yelp reviews. What I appreciated during the bidding process was the excellent technical details and options provided by my estimator, as well as his responsiveness to questions. The crew that arrived was hard working and very respectful, and did an excellent job cleaning up after each day of the 4-day project. There was a little bit of roof grit on a few surfaces from removal of the old roof, and we found a few nails, but that was it. There were a couple snags involving a delay in materials, a skylight that unexpectedly needed to be replaced, and some additional gutter work that was missed on the first pass, and the team did a great job giving me options, keeping me informed, and making sure we were satisfied. Highly recommend. I'll update this review after our first rainy season if there are any leaks, but we're very happy with what we got and what we paid. read more

Run and hire this company if you're considering getting a new roof installed. I interviewed roughly 8 different roofers in the Pacific Northwest before reading and stumbling across 3 Tree. They were extremely professional, no upsell. The job we had was considerably difficult to given that it was a total of four townhomes on a condensed very busy tight street and then even tighter configured shared driveway. They managed to complete our project within a week leave zero debris and were pleasant the entire time while communicating with both the townhome owners and tenants and not only that they sent us a thank you gift for each unit upon conclusion of the project. I have since recommended them repeatedly to other friends who were currently using them for their own roof replacement this year. I would consider them for other projects as well if they ever expand their services. Amazing experience for something that most homeowners dread. And everything was executed perfectly, including the estimates in terms of time cost and potential contingencies. read more

After 2 1/2 years of little leaks in our roof that were more annoying than damaging, we couldn't be happier to have contacted Three Tree Roofing last September to have them assess our roof. Unfortunately, the prior owners of the house did not do a great job of building or maintaining the roof so a full redo was needed. We have a very mild pitch to our roof which necessitated that we go with a metal roof instead of composite. The team that installed our roof did an exemplary job and we LOVE the way our new roof looks AND NO MORE LEAKS! These guys were professional, courteous and responsive. We got 4 bids for our roof. Three Tree Roofing's bid was not only competitive but their evaluation of the job was much more detailed and insightful than any of the other companies. This attention to detail was evident throughout the process. Our roof had some tricky aspects to it because of a stucco parapet and the need to rebuild the pitch in areas to avoid pooling water, yet they were up to the task and did an excellent job of ensuring that water drains properly. For the first time in decades, we no longer have standing water on our roof. The work crew did an excellent job, even bringing their own generator since we didn't have an outdoor outlet and cleaning up after themselves each day. Communication was excellent throughout. I had an older metal roof that really needed to go, I don't know much about home improvement but David came out for my consultation and after talking with him I felt like I actually had a handle of what changes were needed. He was the only person that asked me to see the underside of the roof from my attic (I got around 5 bids) and he quickly deduced what would be required to replace the old roof and the cedar shake beams underneath the aluminum. The crew that Neil sent out stripped and installed an entirely new shingled roof/plywood base in basically one day! They were very fast, efficient, and professional. After wind ripped numerous 3-tab old shingles off, it was time for a new roof. I was leery of starting the search for a contractor in February but was so glad I did. CJ from Three Tree was first one I talked to. Comparing his product and presentation to the other 2 companies I talked to it was a no brainer to go with Three Tree. His crew put on the roof between the snow storm in February. In the middle of their work I decided to have them remove a chimney from a Franklin stove. Highly recommended. I'm really happy I selected Three Tree. My roof replacement was originally scheduled for March, but then the Covid lockdown hit. Three Tree stayed conscientiously in touch about rescheduling, and the work was finally done in June when Washington state law allowed. And done superbly well.
