I booked the reservation on the Enterprise website and it allowed me to make the reservation for 5:00pm. When I landed in Chicago with all of my luggage I took a taxi to the Enterprise location that was away from the airport location. The location was closed. What I don't understand how the company would allow me to make a reservation for a time that they knew very well that they were going to be closed for. So I was forced to rent a car with another company for the night for much more money due to super late notice. Then I drove back an hour to the location to return my current rental car and pick up the enterprise car that I had my reservation for. I returned my temporary rental car I had for the night and then proceeded with a taxi to the enterprise location just to find that they told me that they didn't have a car for me. I was left going with another rental company for a second time and having to wait 3 hours before I could get a car. I spent $875 for my rental car for 5 days all because Enterprise decided to not honor the reservation that they gave me. If there is one question I have it is WHY WOULD ENTERPRISE GIVE ME A RESERVATION WHEN THEY DONT RESERVE ANYTHING FOR ME?! I am all the way across the country from my home and stuck stranded in Chicago without any transportation because enterprise decided to LIE to me about giving me a reservation. Yes that is called LYING. If that isn't lying then IDK what is. My experience with Enterprise was horrendous. I wouldn't recommend using them to anyone. Stay away from this company. If Enterprise wants to contact me and make this situation right then I would have open ears to hear what they have to offer. Otherwise I will never use their company again and will not recommend anyone else does either.

Everything was quick, easy, and genuinely pleasant--which is not something I normally expect when renting a car at a busy airport. A huge shoutout to Tommy, Eric, Austin, and Cesar. Every one of them was friendly, professional, helpful, and went out of their way to make the experience seamless. Their customer service really stood out. These guys are the case study in customer service and professionalism. I've rented plenty of cars while traveling, and this Alamo location set a new standard. I'll absolutely be using them again the next time I'm flying through Chicago. Highly recommend!

Since the Alamo counter was closed, we were redirected to the National counter where the staff was incredibly friendly. We were even given an additional discount as the rates were much better for the July 4th weekend, and we had booked our trip 1 or 2 months ago when the rates were high. That was a great way to start a trip. Overall the vehicle was great and fun to drive especially being new it had the assisted driving (ADAS) which made the long drive relaxing. There was a small windshield crack (under an quarter of an inch barely visible), and while their policy only requires reporting damage over two inches from prior experiences, I made them note it on the record before I took the vehicle from the lot just to be on the safe side. Returning the car was a breeze, just drove straight in, unloaded our bags and off to catch a plane

I've never had that before so I walked back into the counter area to inquire. It was early morning so there was only one associate available. Car was new and clean (minus the two random water/Gatorade bottles that rolled out from under the driver's seat during our pit stop. No biggie!). Seamless checkout and check-in. Received our digital receipt later that afternoon. Easy peasy!

Big Caucasian guy, about 250lbs, really short hair, tattoos all over both of his arms, totally visible flakes on his hair. No "hi," no "hello, I'll be with you in a minute," no "sorry for the wait," no nothing. If the guy was having a bad day, well, don't take it out on the customers. The rude dude clearly didn't want to be there, and wasn't willing to listen to anything the customers had to say/ask. It's sad to know that people from outside of Chicago arrives at O'Hare and this guy is one of the first people that they have interact with, because these people will think "wow, Chicagoans suck!"

Didn't actually leave the lot with a working vehicle until 4:30 PM -- 2.5 hours later. The check-in agent, Liam, told us the car was only held for 1 hour and had already been given away -- I watched him hand our reserved vehicle (a GMC Acadia) to the customer in front of me. He said Sixt had "no obligation" to hold cars and that we should be thankful they didn't cancel outright. He also quoted $4.99/gal for the prepaid fuel option, claiming it was a discount off a local station price of $5.30/gal -- every gas station we actually passed was $4.30/gal or less. We were then sent to space C1 with no key there, waited 45+ min in a separate key line with only one staff member working, and after my 23-weeks-pregnant wife had already loaded our bags (with our 22-month-old in tow) into the C1 car, another customer told us it was theirs -- we had to unload/reload everything ourselves, no staff helped. The branch manager, Ernesto M., showed up near the end, raised his voice at me, took zero responsibility ("I just got here"), and said nothing could be done because I'd booked through a 3rd party. I also had trouble getting through to Sixt customer service during all this -- they told me the branch wasn't picking up their calls either. Also questioned why we needed my wife's marriage license/passport just to add her as a driver since her license doesn't share my last name -- not a documented requirement, just an added hassle. Avoid this location if you can. Nothing about this was handled professionally.
