Some good, some bad and one really bad one. But Hyundai of Vacaville stood far above the rest. I have purchased many cars in the past and this was one of, if not the best experience in doing so. I am very happy with my choice and will be recommending Andrew with confidence.

Over the past few days, I've been working out a deal for a Rivian on this lot. After a lot of back…read morein forth, we settled on a price I was comfortable with and I came in to test drive the car. When inspecting the car, I noticed how unkept it was. Mounds of sand in the front truck, the storage tunnel had drawings made with crayons on it. Just unkept and filthy everywhere. I test drove the car and noticed it had a slight pull to the left, which made me question the vehicles history, and asked for a full report. The car had an open recall, and when I asked the manager about fixing it, he tried to sell me on how they sell cars with recalls all the time and took no ownership over the issue. He stated that because Rivian has a slower turnaround time, that they refused contacting them about the truck I was interested in. Basically putting the issue on me. They clearly didn't recondition the car. Rushed it to market, and haven't invested anything into it. The sales rep was fine - more of a yes man - even agreeing with me on things I found questionable. The sales manager - Mike - refused to take ownership of anything and offerd no solutions to valid questions/issues.

Buying a car can sometimes feel stressful, but the entire team made the process smooth, straightforward, and enjoyable! Mandeep helped me through the whole process and has been available for any questions I need. Everyone I worked with was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful including Vinny and Michael. Jeff in service has also been great buffing out a few spots for me. Thank you to the team for making this such a great experience!

Having purchased more than a…read moredozen new vehicles over the course of my adult life, this experience ranks close to, if not the very bottom. The salesman did not seem at all interested in selling me the vehicle. He was more interested in the fact that he lost his car keys which also contained the key to his "million-dollar" record collection in storage. He basically flat-out told me that he could not sell me the car without adding on the $1000 "protection package." The person handling the paperwork misspelled our address resulting in a delay receiving the title and registration. I brought the car back for the "complimentary" first oil change. Turns out this is free service is a benefit mandated by Honda, not something the dealer willingly gives out. I asked about some dings and curb rash while at the service appointment. I was told at the time of sale these were covered under the "protection package." I was bluntly told by a salesperson that these issues were in fact, not covered by the $1000 "protection package." Then, after almost THREE HOURS (for an oil change), I was told that the vehicle could not be released back to me because it had never been properly registered as sold by the dealership in the first place. The service writer was sympathetic to my frustration, and basically said he is tired of the employees in sales making false promises. He said that the dealership went downhill seven years ago when it was bought out. I'm sure there are Schottenkirk customers who are happy with their sales and service experience. I am not one of them. I will not be returning to this dealership.
