Stay away. I went to test drive a car. Pulled over to call a couple local mechanics for a pre-inspection. Both denied doing it bc of this business. They argue and slander the mechanic's character and opinions of what needs to be fixed. When I returned the vehicle I said to my quite nice sales guy it wasn't going to work. He asked why. I said the above. He wanted to know which mechanic. I said no way. Upon driving out the mgr approached my car. Said he just wanted to clarify what I said, that he didn't want to argue. I shared my experience and why I was moving on. Then he insisted I was there to argue. Why would I drive 2 hours to argue?! When I started to roll up my window he said Go F yourself. You Fing B. Nothing major to note at all was crazy. Listen to the reviews; they don't lie. If you're looking at a car here, bring a mechanic and a scanner--the "no-issue" claims don't match the reality under the hood. Flew from LA to Davis for this 2018 Scat Pack after being told it was a car that was very well taken care of. As a tech, I took it for an independent Pre-Purchase Inspection (shout out to MIDAS!) the results were a disaster: * Active Oil Leak: Oil pooling under the intake manifold from the upper back engine corner. * Bad Suspension: Failed lower and upper control arm bushings; car pulls hard to the left. We Bought a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica from them on 2/24/26 and drove down from Redding,ca. I have 5 kids and gave them almost every dollar I had to my name so my family could have this vehicle, we thought we could trust these people and trusted the safety of this vehicle because who would sell a family of 7 with young children a bad vehicle right .... On the drive home the vehicle stated making kind of a weird noise but I thought okay new vehicle maybe that's just the way it sounds .. a week later the engine light came on . Had our shop we use scan it and got a code for the thermostat. Which is whatever no big deal and we were going to just replace it ourselves because they said we had to take it back down to Davis if we wanted them to fix it so it would have costed me more to go down there to replace. the following week I'm picking up my husband from work and waiting for him to get to the car and I here a whining growling sound and i said wow that's weird I need to tell my husband.... 10 min later with my entire family in the car, it just shuts off while we are driving!! And starts showing a lightning bolt sign. We called and no one answered so we left a message then next day no one called us back , we had to reach back out ( which is odd ). We had the car towed to the shop and after inspection the alternator was bad. My husband calls and speaks to the so called manager and tries to tell my husband that he doesn't know anything about cars ( which my husband has spent half his life working on cars and used to build show trucks for sema) tries to tell us again we have to get the car down there if we want it fixed and how can they trust us that it's not working ... lol but we are supposed to trust them right ?!!..... our car won't even turn on and they expect us to spend hundreds of dollars to tow it down there so we can have their shop fix it. Plus rent a car or we have to sit there all day with our kids , or have to pay for a hotel .I would never trust their shop to fix anything especially after what I'm dealing with ..... I wish I would have looked at their reviews before buying from them.... They clearly have zero integrity. Shame on all of you for not making things right and screwing over families . These guys are criminals. Don't buy a car from them. Anyone that would sell a car with two broken front struts and a bad transmission mount after me bringing it to them for a clunking that would magically go away when i was called back to the dealership because they couldn't find the noise. I took it to an ASE certified mechanic and he told me any mechanic in the world would see the struts and mounts are wasted. 960$ just to fix the struts. I would try to make them (Showman) but the mechanic they have is a joke. I Just called him and he told me it was never on a lift. I reminded him of the picture he showed me of the boots on the wheels where he them back peddled and said "Im just trying to help you remember" While i was there the mechanic tools were everywhere and grease, just a mess. When i took it to them the first time they replaced tire steering column stabilizer. If they were any kind of mechanic a clunking is usually a strut and the guy i took it too said there's no way a mechanic wouldnt see the bad transmission and motor mount and struts up on a lift. The guy that runs the Auto Repair side is a professional passive aggressive master bullshitter. I gave them a good reveiew when i first bought the car. I know what he's going to write, did you tell me the noise didn't stop. After the 3x of going to you and telling you and you replacing the stabalizer but couldnt even put the steering wheel back on straight? No thanks! I had to wait to save the extra 150$ it costed me to even have a mechanic look at it. Here i am on SSDI used all my savings for the 3k down and now have to put 1500$ into repairs? That's the low end with cheaper parts. HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT????? read more

I bought a non finance full own vehicle and he guaranteed me the BMW x5m had all original parts transmission, engine, turbo if it all belonged to this car. I am from New York and I flew to Sacramento Davis to purchase a vehicle and before I flew over there by plane, I asked many times to salesperson Amin if this BMW X5M 2016 in grey had all of its original parts, engine and transmission and he kept guaranteeing me it was all original. By original I mean the piece is specially for this make and model of this vehicle. I had the vehicle inspected by lemon squad before purchase and guaranteed by him that the vehicles parts engine or transmission and turbo was not swapped. To include that he made me Fly Out there after him telling me Everything was in mint condition When I asked what package the car had I thought it was excecutive package and he said no even better sport utility package and he said come on let's take it for a ride. The engine was indeed swapped and proven by a BMW dealership here in New York I SENT HIM the paper work and he keeps dismissing it. A car with a swapped engine does not cost ~40,000 me and my boyfriend flew to Sacramento and bought this car for ourselves for Christmas. He paid half I paid half. Now that I am reaching out about the situation he is accusing me of swapping my Own vehicles engine and even audacity to say I rolled back the odometer of the car. This is insane. I tried to make things formally right and he really went gangster on me and talked to me crazyyy on a whole other phone that is not his business number. He basically stole. Yes car is sold as is. But that does not include engine swap If the engine was swapped and I asked you and you said NO. THAT IS FRAUD. Now he wanna keep my hard earned money. I sold my car to stay with this car now I don't have one and I have to pay to go to work every day. I've been paying car insurance and warranty insurance on this vehicle this whole time and it never even worked to begin with. Less than a year later. Bought car Dec 19,2024, recieved around end Feb early March, fast forward to now has only gained less than 1000 miles. Every since mile in that 1000 the lights on the car have been telling me to pull over immediately and "DO NOT DRIVE VEHICLE" warning signs over and over. When a PROFESSIONAL auto sales group uses words to advertise a vehicle like, "very clean...very good mechanical shape...excellent cosmetic shape....no issues at all...never been involved in any major accidents or damages whatsoever..."....I really didn't expect to drive from two hours away to find massive brown carpet stains, a broken window regulator, a transmission leak that left a puddle, a HUGE mess to the RF door from being "keyed", dangling trim and fog lights, and previous collision damage in the front and right rear......I at least expected something a tad bit more accurate. It gets a little worse though....The day before, I had questions about the paint and was told a video would be sent regarding that. He sent one that showed the whole car EXCEPT FOR THE SPECIFIC AREA (RFdoor) where the "keying" graffiti is!! Really and honestly, my expectations aren't high when I'm looking at a twenty year old used vehicle. But I DO EXPECT honest professionals to be "somewhat close" in their descriptions. Shoman Auto Group, you are very much part of the reason the Auto Sales Industry has a bad rap. Don't bother to contrive excuses or stories. Just own up. I bought a car from a guy named Eric at shoman's motors in Davis I have had problems with the car I bought it in July of last year for 7,000.00 8 months ago I have only got to drive it a couple of weeks out of that 8 months first it was a check engine light came up so I took it to jiffy lube to have them tell me what was wrong with it and then I drove it a couple of days but the car would scare me because when you put the brakes on they would lock up and then would take off by itself so I took it up to shoman motors and first I had to show the guy how to start it and then he said there was some loose fuses and it seemed to help it a little but my radio quit working by the time I got home and then I had it parked for a couple of days and the battery died and charging it didn't help so I had to purchase a 12 volt battery but when I had a shop install the battery I asked them about a noise it was making if it was the fuel injectors and they told me it was the hybrid battery that range from 2,000 dollars to 10,000 dollars so it was parked again for about a month and a half and had it towed over to the dealership in vallejo where they told me that it would cost me over 11,000. Dollars to fix it because it had a blown head gasket and all kinds of other things so I would never recommend shoman motor even to my worst enemy thank you for letting me vent have a nice day do not buy anything from Eric Brown at shoman motors in davis ca. read more

AMIN AND SHARIF ARE JANKY BUSINESSMEN!! Made a purchase in June, as soon as I got on the freeway to head home a low oil notification came on. (This is were I should've went back and demanded my money back) They reassured me when I instantly called and made it seem like they were The Bmw car enthusiasts that knew everything, could make all the mods to make all the power I ever wanted, did all the work in house and had all the best tools, etc. Purchased the car mainly for the fact that they reassured that tons of maintenance and repairs had been done prior to the purchase. After numerous times of getting the silent treatment, I took the car to BMW Niello like they had advised to do, the car had melted various parts under the hood. Overall the price for repairs came out to 25k and showed that under inspection, tons of shotty work was performed. After getting told to "Gtfo of their shop" they claimed that if the repairs costed more than the car they would reimburse for the purchase. Of course that was a lie along with everything else. They took the car back "to perform the repairs" had it for 2 weeks (mind you I only had the car for 2 weeks at this point), claimed they sent it to a "BMW shop" to get the Ecu reprogrammed, charged me for aftermarket spark plugs, told me to go pick up the car from 3400 Fulton Ave. Windows were down car was dirty as hell (car is white w/ white interior) and looked grey on grey. Looked like I arrived at a chop shop, guy never mentioned anything about ecu and said nothing about spark plugs ! He reminded me of the dad from Matilda. Now they're claiming I did a tune with catless down pipes, aftermarket exhaust and was driving it like a bat out of hell. I should've just turned back when I got that low oil light read more

Brought my car here for simple repairs and what do you know, they completely took advantage of a small asian woman and completely flat out stole things from my car that they thought I would not notice. Mind you, the guy who repaired my car literally disclosed the fact that his whole family (wife, kids) have BMWs of my exact year model of my car. Strange info to give out isn't it? Little do I know that when I received my car, the trunk was replaced with a cargo compartment and a tire was taken. You think that I wouldn't notice a tire missing from my trunk? Mind you, the guy told me and said "girl, your year model didn't come with a tire"...uh, there WAS a tire there and I have proof. I'm not dumb as you think. Whether or not BMW's factory supplied it o not is not important. I can choose to put a spare in my trunk if I wanted. Also, the guy stole my gas lid and replaced it with a super old one. Also, to add more fuel to the fire, they installed THEIR STORE'S PLATES ON MY CAR. Yeah, steer clear of this shop ESPECIALLY if you have a BMW. Don't waste your time. Within 24 hours, not only did I test drive that car, but I found a few other cars that I liked even more - all within my price range! Amin is very honest, straight forward, and does not try to sell you something that you do not want. The dealership is a family owned and family ran business; they got to where they are by maintaining family values. Honesty, integrity, openness, patience and trust are a few that come to mind right away when I think of this business and the people who run it. They are very easy to work with, patient as you think things over and contemplate your choices. They don't complete paperwork, registration and title never came. contacted dmv and was told they have no info and it was still registered to previous owner! You can't trust these type of people! Worst buying experience I've ever had buying a vehicle. You arrive to this shop & nobody greets you. Keep in mind; not a single soul is here shopping. Once we found someone they handed us keys to look at the vehicle while they watched YouTube in their office. Nobody there to answer questions. They come back and say "Are you serious? I don't want to drive this with you if you are not buying." We ask why is there so much rust damage & why it was not listed in ad. They wasted our time driving 2 hours here without disclosing the obvious problems. They left the paint repair kit & rust cover up kit in the glove box. They knew the problems, covered them up, and then did not say anything about them in the ad. Shady business practice, rude salesmen, and somewhere that you SHOULD AVOID. Go see for yourself. Purchased a SUV from Shoman in December. Drove the vehicle 2.5 hours from their lot and an engine code came on as a misfire. I fixed the issue and then the next morning, on a cold start, the suv would just die. This time it needed to valves replaced. I tried to contact them the next day and they did not respond. I have now got a professional mechanic to look at the vehicle and it needed another $780 in repairs. Unless you want a junkyard car, then yes, this is the place to pick up a junker. I bought a used GMC Yukon from this dealership in April, spending $9,500. By June (6 weeks later), it needed a new motor. When I returned to the dealership, they kept my truck for a couple of weeks without providing any updates on the repair. They gave me the runaround, promising to call me back in 15 minutes but never following through. I had to go there in person to find out what was wrong, only to be told that I needed a new motor. Their solution? Buy another car from them and get a measly $1,500 off. Ridiculous! Terrible customer service and very untrustworthy. Avoid this place! read more

Recently got a car from here! The brothers were super nice and helpful. They were through and explained everything to me step by step. Small edit: still a great place to get a car, it's just super hard to get ahold of anyone after you buy the car in order to get things fixed. 2 weeks after receiving my car the check engine light came on and I called to see if I can bring it in to get looked at. I was told to text the codes I had scanned to the number and they would call me back to schedule a time to come in. Never got a call back and that was over a month ago. read more

They were helpful with what I was looking for and made suggestions to meet those needs as well as other cars they thought were a good value and good shape. They try to have the cars people are looking for as well as price points. When I've seen flaws and issues in cars they are upfront about what needs to be done and have told me cars I don't want. I've have gone home knowing exactly what I am needing to do. The purchase is easy and fairly quick. Just remember that they are selling other people's used cars. The last honest used car dealer. (PLEASE READ THE FULL STORY) Before I tell you about my experience with Shoman Motors I want to highlight how genuinely thankful I am to have found this dealer, because I've never felt more comfortable or more confident from a used car purchase until now. I've been looking for a used car for about 6 months now but as most know the used car market has been for lack of a better word disgusting, so I haven't been able to find a good deal, that is until I came here. I originally came in to look at a 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage: as soon as I walk up to the lot I was greeted by a kind smile from Amine and asked if I needed help, he quickly showed me to the car and was happy to let my wife and I test drive it. After 10 minutes on the road I quickly realized that a 3 cylinder vehicle wasn't a good fit for me. This next part will shock you, with the same kind smile Amine let us test drive SIX CARS we were interested in and answered probably 50-70 questions. Almost all other dealers I've been too always had an attitude when I wanted to test drive a car and sometimes even wanted to run my credit before I test drove, BUT NOT SHOMAN MOTORS! We ended up falling in love with a 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid. The price was fair and BELOW market rate. Sharif and Amine were NOT PUSHY WHATSOEVER I genuinely felt like they wanted to give me a good deal. The car was detailed before we drove off the lot, and the whole process was so smooth my wife and I actually had fun! These guys are honestly so amazing!
