**READ BEFORE SERVICING YOUR VEHICLE HERE** My fiancé has a 2018 CRV that has had something wrong with the AC for the past 3 years. Mind you, she purchased this in Napa; however, lives in Vacaville. Honda has had a service bulletin/recall regarding a seal that needs to be replaced as it has caused several AC's to blow hot air or make the AC perform very intermittently. Service bulletins/recall alerts for any parts are 100% covered by the dealership and through Honda. When a customer comes in requesting the recall service to be performed, they should never be charged for inspections. If during the service appointment the department finds the source of the issue is not with the recalled part, the customer should still never be charged for the inspection unless this is discussed ahead of time and agreed upon. In looking at the past reviews and from my fiancé's experience the past few years, it seems Vacaville Honda's service department is running unethical practices that prey on customers who may not understand their rights, more specifically if they are women. She had taken the car for the recall to Vacaville Honda on two occasions in different years, trusting they would take care of the issue and do proper servicing in regards to what was stated in the bulletin. Twice, they not only charged her for inspections (to the tune of $250+ each time) but both times they stated the issue was not with the recalled part. This past visit back in August, they tried to quote her for a full AC replacement for $7000. Just recently, she and I had a discussion about her car's AC and we dug a little deeper into her experiences. After reviewing the documentation and service bulletin, and after diagnosing where the problem really was, I contacted a different Honda service department to perform the service regarding the recalled part, free of charge (as outlined in the actual service bulletin). Not only was the recalled part the issue that fixed her ongoing AC problems, but it was literally a 2 hour job that should have been handled correctly the past two times she went to Vacaville Honda. As her partner, I'm infuriated a company would put her through this and having to endure over 100 degree weather each summer because she couldn't afford $7000 to "fix" the problem. As a human being, I'm completely baffled how this unethical practice has been allowed to go on with multiple customers at this location. If you are a customer here with their service department, I would encourage you to read up on your rights for recalled parts and service bulletins. I would also encourage you to seek second opinions for anything they state "needs to be replaced". After collecting the documentation of her experiences, I will be taking this higher and will absolutely be reaching out to reviewers who have had the same experience. This should never be happening, especially at a dealership, and the service department as a whole should be held accountable for their unethical practices. I dropped my Acura off for an oil change and tire rotation. The service adviser said it would be an hour or two. I opted into their text service and never received any notification my vehicle was done. I had to call and see if it was completed. The service adviser seemed surprised that I didn't have any communication from them. I arrived to pay and pick up my vehicle, when I got to my car there were two greasy handprints on the hood of my car. I understand they don't have a car wash on property, but it's completely unacceptable to give the customer back their vehicle in that condition. They cleaned it off with a half ass apology. We made an appointment for our new 2025 Pilot Black edition to have the oil changed a week in advance, we have bought no less than 7 new Hondas from Vacaville Honda. We have $59.95 advertisement flyer saying "Oil and filter change with comp. multipoint inspection, convenient while you wait service, Express service". Wife gets there, and is going to wait, and they tell her just leave the car there, they will call when done, about 2-4 hours. Told them that we have an appointment, they didn't care, she said we would go somewhere else, they were okay with that. I have brought my car into Honda dealership For two separate issues this year That another mechanic shop, Red label and diesel caused. They had to reset my computer system after Red label &Disel put in a new battery in my car would not pass smog for over six months due to this. I was told by Red label it was the muffler that needed to be fixed And this was not the case. Then I took it in a second time where they cleaned up Red label &Disel's mess they had put in a bad switch for my window in order a bad part And told me to take it to the dealership that it was the motor or electrical system. When in fact, Red label &Disel had put in a bad switch. They ordered a bad part. My first issue was during a new car search; | provided a written Costco Auto Program quote to see if they could match it, and they simply never followed up. Terrible experience with the Honda dealership in Vacaville. After a recall repair on my 2019 HR-V, I had to bring my car back twice due to their repeated mistakes. Eventually, because of their error with the fuel sensor, my car died on a dangerous two-lane road. I lost work time, went days without my car, and they were slow to provide a rental. To make it worse, their mechanic scratched my driver's side door, and when I picked it up, the repair to the paint chip was still inadequate. They are working on repairing the damage they caused my car (I have yet to see how that will turn out). Despite all of this, they (the deal ship manager Robby) refused to offer fair compensation and barely listened to my concerns. Serious safety issues, poor communication, and no accountability. I bought my mini van from this place 2 years later I called to schedule a car detailed cleaned! I was told on the phone 200 then when I showed up to my apt first they couldn't find my name. Then they told me $359 because it was a mini van and yes my car was a mess reason I need it detailed... Guy calls me 2 hrs later saying because of the condition of my car they could not clean it! (I had chips, gold fish, probably melted chocolate in seats) most of it was food... anyway I took my car down to 5 star car wash by home depot! Those guys charged me $68 did a quick vaccum and cleaned my windows and I gotta say they did fantastic job! Needless to say Honda has lost a customer! I would give this dealership service a 0 stars if possible. BUYER beware! My air conditioning unit was blowing hot air so I took it in and this is the email I got: We were able to get a look at your vehicle and found out what the issue is with the A/C system. It appears that the compressor did seize which caused metal to be spread throughout the system. Due to the compressor seizing you will end up needing a whole new system. Due to a new system being needed we wouldn't be able to complete it today. We could start it today but would not finish until tomorrow at the end of the day. The total cost of repairs is $7,251.06 after tax. I know you do not live in town so if you wanted to rent a vehicle then we could put a "rental credit" of $200.00 on the bill to offset the cost for it. So my local non-dealer repair guy told me today I would need an oxygen and liquid flush and new compressor for a total of $2850. I don't think I need to say more about this dealership and their highly unethical behaviors. You are warned!! That's downright highway robbery!!! Not sure if that's just the representative, Dominic, or the entire service department but I ain't sticking around to find out!!!! And they charged $270 to give me this swindling diagnosis! read more

This was my third time in 3 years with an issue with maintenance. First, my start was bad but they couldn't tell me why. Second, was within the last 12 months. I took my car in for 2 things, torque converter which was under warranty and the 100k. Somewhere in between my battery died and I popp d the hood, nothing was connected with my intake(stock). They blamed me. This last time my wheel well panel came off while driving. They didn't install a new panel correct and I had to bring it back. Sadly, I had to show the master tech what his tech did wrong. Even worse, management couldn't be bothered to give me a call even after I left the voice mail on their machine, they passed it off to the best customer service rep known to man. I was so surprised when I compared the price of replacing my car key battery with Battery and Bulbs! The Honda staff and parts personnel were so nice and hardly charged me anything and I really appreciate that because I've avoided Honda for a few years ever since I had a private mechanic look at my fairly new brakes at the time, and was told (and shown) that there were old brake parts never removed! My mechanic said that I should go back to Honda and have them redo the brakes with all new parts. However, due to other reasons I had no trust in Honda so I paid my mechanic to do another brake job. I did go to Honda to speak to someone at the front desk, however, he was dealing with a very upset man complaining about the same sort of experience with a different area of his car. For the past 8 months, every time I have lost a part or broken something while racing all three of my Civics, they have always been there to assist me in getting the right part. There have been times when I was unable to identify a part, but they were able to figure it out and procure it. Tried to go sell a car and had some expectations of the value of my car already with some offers from other dealership and was shopping around due to other dealerships trying to lowball me and add extras I didn't want. The saleswoman that greeted me told me they weren't going to do any better before I even walked into the door. Which I was okay with if since they insisted, I decided to cut my losses and move on instead of waste my time. But the saleswoman proceeded to try to get me to come inside. I didn't want to after that first 5 minutes but agreed. As I walked in she asked for my registration which was a first for me as other dealerships ask for only VIN and Make and Miles to start, but she demanded it. The universe heard I was looking for a new car and my current suv broke down a week later. I scheduled an apt with Adrienne to run our credit and give us our best options. I was concerned because we didn't have the best credit, we weren't planning on purchasing a car so we really didn't plan to spend on a down payment but I needed a reliable car. Before looking at any cars we sat down and discussed what I wanted. I mentioned my wants may not be realistic so hopefully she can just get me a car. In all honesty I wasn't really expecting to walk out of there with anything. I wanted to hear all the bad news and come back when we had better options. Not only did Adrienne deliver, but she gave me my wants plus more. We walked out of there with a better deal than what we were expecting. I jokingly told her to throw in another car, that's how good the deal was. I cried then; I'm crying right now writing this compliment. I appreciate her knowledge and kindness. She's truly a blessing. She talked with us and made us feel like we were catching up with an old friend. The dealership was busy for a Friday but we didn't feel rushed and it also didn't feel like we were there forever. Everyone in the building was super nice. We took our daughter and they offered her snacks and things to color. She was so well behaved. It's clear why they have so many negative reviews... so far they've gotten lucky with Yelp's algorithm for filtering "fake" reviews from their profile. Check out the several pages of 1-star reviews which are not being reported in their average rating!! Yikes... Believe the hype! Fortunately, I didn't fall for the okey-doke. Called for an appointment to fix the locking mechanism on passenger door. Phone rep couldn't provide an estimate of repair, no problem. We show up to leave our vehicle and are THEN told that it will cost $400 to simply DIAGNOSE the problem, lolol. Stop it, for real, haha?? First, they could have told me OVER THE PHONE about the $400 diagnosis charge. Second, according to Google, the repair itself would cost between $200 - $500 which we were expecting to spend... but you're telling me it might be $1000 to diagnose & fix a door lock??!! Uumm, no. Their tactic of "Bring your car in" so they can pressure you with silly add-on charges that no one mentioned beforehand... and then they use that whole "Well, you're already here" or "We can have it done in an hour" so you start weighing the convenience of just being done with it = that's slimy on their part and takes advantage of people. read more

Early in 2023 we replaced our aging 2007 Odyssey with a brand new 2023 Odyssey. When we looked at this dealership, the closest dealer to our home, they essentially had little to pick from, presumably due to supply chain disruptions. We finally ended up in east Sacramento where they had a dozen Odysseys to choose from. We had shopped at several dealers and all of them told us that 2 years of routine preventive maintenance was included with every new Honda. In fact we were very clear that Honda offered this service because it was mentioned in Honda advertising. When our first service interval was signaled by the built-in Maintenance Minder at about 7400 miles, I first called Vacaville Honda because I didn't want to drive back to east Sacramento and because our selling dealer had told us that the free 2-year routine maintenance could be done at any dealer. I called Vacaville Honda, told them what I was calling about and was told that, no, they did not honor any such service agreement unless we bought the car at Vacaville Honda. So I went online and booked a same-day appointment for Express Service at out selling dealer in east Sacramento. I might have actually saved time because when I arrived, they took my Odyssey in immediately at the appointment time and I was out of there in less than an hour with an oil change and a tire rotation plus a car wash, all for exactly zero $$$. What I don't understand is that Vacaville Honda had a perfect opportunity to win me over as a customer who lives close by for the cost of a couple of oil changes and tire rotations over two years. Instead, their short-sightedness makes me wonder if I need ever consider going back there in the future. read more

Everyone ( including myself until this ) thinks dealerships are only about the money and once the car is sold don't care at all . My story: 4 Months ago the transmission on my 2020 Pilot went out on the top of the Grapevine , with my wife , 3 young kids and myself stranded for hours . Got it back to Vacaville and they did a flush , said it was fine . I was very nervous since the warranty expired at 100,000 miles . Fast Forward 4 months ( at 95000 miles ) it started Giving me problems again . I emailed Jennifer on Tuesday asking for help , I thought it would be a huge ordeal . Nope ! Larry has always been wonderful to work with . Our family have purchased cars with him on many occasions. The most recent cash purchase was by our son and Larry was just an informative and helpful as ever. I took a point away because whoever they had detail the car after purchase needs to be taught how to properly detail a vehicle. It was ran through the car wash and then had soap residue that my son had to get off the car and windows himself. No door jams got cleaned and floors aren't vacuumed. I'm guessing nothing was wiped down properly if at all either . Let alone no possibility of it being waxed etc . Very unprofessional and disappointing to have that be considered detailed. read more

I usually like coming in here. Even bought my Honda HRV here. However, I made an appointment for my mom at 11am it is now an hour later and my mom is super patient. Whoever is at the desk today was extremely rude to my mom when she kindly asked what was taking so long for an oil change. All they could have done was simply explain that whoever was there before her appointment is taking longer than expected. added: They didn't even explain to my mom why she needs the recommended repairs. On top of that we have insurance that covers the shocks and brakes (bumper to bumper warranty). I call back to clarify and this male clerk with a heavy accent tells me to call back at 4 p.m to speak to a manager and hangs up. Look, I've been in the customer service industry and that is no way to talk to someone who isn't even screaming at you. DO NOT BUY A CAR AT THIS LOCATION. PERIOD.
