I had a very disappointing experience with Thrifty Flowers. I ordered a sunflower arrangement from out of state for a friend whose dog had passed, but the website didn't allow special notes, and I received no confirmation when the order was sent. The arrangement that arrived was full of lilies which are deadly for pets, despite the sensitive situation. When I called, I was transferred multiple times (even to a driver) and told sunflowers were "out of season," so they substituted the arrangement without informing me. They promised a replacement and a refund review, but by Monday nothing had been done. The staff I spoke with were dismissive and unhelpful, saying they "don't work weekends" and could only "avoid" lilies but not guarantee anything. They said there was no way corporate would provide any concession or discount. In the end, I had to repay delivery fees, and the replacement arrangement was small and poor quality. Overall, the lack of communication, rude service, and unsafe substitution make me unable to recommend this florist--especially for sensitive occasions. read more

Flowers are expensive! so when you spend $150+ on an arrangement you want it to look beautiful. Thrifty did not disappoint-the arrangements were stunning and added so much visual beauty to a stressful time. I regret choosing Thrifty Florist. As you can see from the attached pics, what was advertised and what was delivered are vastly different. I understand not having the exact blooms in the photo but for the price, I expect a professional florist to match the fullness, amount of blooms, and the advertised height. That did not happen. After sending the photo of what was delivered to customer service (as I was directed to do) I was called by someone who said that this was good enough. That the photos are done in studios by professionals and we can't expect the delivered flowers to look the same. Um...that's exactly what we expect! That's why there are pictures to choose from. I feel we were ripped off given the finished result and the price totalling over $90. The person I spoke to gave no apology or offer of any discount. She kept saying they looked fine- I agreed to disagree. She also said that the arrangement I chose was FTD, not Thrifty. I have the pics of it advertised on their website and in my email order confirmation. The outer petals of the roses are already looking dry and crinkly mere hours after delivery. My sister in law is recovering from spinal surgery and now has Covid and had to miss Christmas. We're embarrassed over this this paltry-looking arrangement. I went to thriftyflorist.net to order pre-Valentine's Day flowers for a special person. I needed something affordable so I chose a cute little vase of white daisies and baby breaths. The vase has a silver heart pendant and ribbon. I added a box of delicious Russell Stover candy for $5.00. I was VERY HAPPY when the gift was delivered only a few hours later! I was even happier to see how cute the vase and floral arrangement looked. It came inside a nice white box which was in a nice protective bag. I didn't spend a lot of money but Thrifty Florist packaged and presented it like it was expensive! I will order again now that I know it won't cost an arm and a leg to buy flowers. I went online to order flowers, read everything before ordering. I called and spoke with someone to confirm my thoughts and expectations. I called the cemetery for all information that the florist would need prior to ordering. Florist called me less than 24 hours prior to funeral and changed me additional funds that weren't stated on website. They refused to wave the additional cost , leaving me no time or option to take my business elsewhere. I paid because I wanted flowers at the funeral. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered flowers on the Thrifty Florist website for my wife for St. Valentine's Day. After selecting the flowers and entering my credit card information, I was taken to an order confirmation page. I received an email with the details of my order, payment confirmation, and an order number. By the middle of the day on St. Valentine's Day, my wife did not receive the flowers. I called Thrifty Florist and spoke with an employee about my order who told me that there was a problem with my payment method. She put me on hold and then another employee came on the phone, rudely told me that there was a problem with my payment method, and then said the only thing she could tell me was for me to go to their shop and hope some flowers were left. I asked her why they didn't contact me if there was an issue with my payment method and she rudely told me "Sir, it doesn't work that way!" I will never consider doing business with this florist again and make sure to tell my friends and family about my experience hoping they do not do business with Thrifty Florist either! read more

I am a regular customer of buying Funeral flowers from Thrifty Florist. My sister died in March 2019 and her daughter died in August 2019. I brought a beautiful Bleeding Heart Arraignment for my sister. It was so nicely done that I ordered another one for my neice. Ordered a bunch of things for valentines day early in the morning to be delivered to a workplace around 11:00 AM. Never got a conformation e-mail, so I called in and told them what was going on. I was told I'd get a call back. Nothing for 3 hours. So, I had to call back and they said there was a system glitch and now they can't process it to be delivered to a work and it has to be a home. I talked to a manager and she rudely talked over me the entire time and kept cutting me off. She then proceeded to tell me "I don't know you. We don't know you. Do you want to place the order or not?" and never offered any type of compensation or apology. I was baffled. Couldn't believe it. Placed an order (Hugs and Kisses Bouquet) for my Girlfriend on Valentines Day and she received nothing like the picture.. I ordered the exact one that was shown (no upgrades) and received even less flowers than displayed.. There were 3 Roses, two fully bloomed that will now be dead in a day or two, and the third was partially bloomed but wilted. Was placed on hold with customer service for 5 minutes before hanging up disgusted.. I will say I did not have an issue with the last order I placed but Valetine's day was a little more important.. $60.00 for 3 Roses, 8 Daisys, and a half a dozen Carnations and a plastic vase...
