He's very organized in that he had us fill out a document with song requests at which part of the weddings, etc. and the submission of a playlist for the cocktail hour, reception, and dance. For the dance he used a good amount of songs from our provided playlist but also adds his own throughout that's fun (e.g. YMCA, I like to Move it, etc.). Worked with Brian for our wedding. We had a specific playlist of songs for him to play, but he didn't play half of them. We had some songs that we said we really wanted played, but they did not get played. Instead, he swapped them out for songs that none of us really liked. We received a questionnaire from him only a week before the wedding, which was very last minute and which he seemed to overlook. For example, we had Don't Stop Me Now by Queen as our final song of the night, but he played an entirely different song. All DJs let the couple choose the closing song. Thrillogy listens to how you envision your events, takes it, and turns it into something 10x better! Their advice never failed me once! Pros: -Brian was available throughout my whole wedding planning process. He's super knowledgeable in the wedding industry and how wedding goes. Trust his advice! He's available via text if you ever need help! -He kept track of my schedule, I definitely one of those crazy spreadsheets type of brides. We had our reception at The Venue by Three Petals but they didn't keep track of time at all. Where do I begin? From the moment I began talking to Brian over the phone, I noticed his attitude (none) and professionalism (tons) immediately, not to mention how quickly he responds. Being a DJ myself, I know the difficulties in planning the music alone, this does not include emceeing a wedding that includes specific scheduling and activities, grand entrances, speeches, games, bouquet toss, garter toss etc. All of these extracurricular activities require careful planning and execution to ensure the party flows well. Brian and his team executed to perfection! Being a DJ, music obviously plays a vital role in my life and I wanted to share my favorite tracks, hand selecting and curating a playlist for each portion of the wedding to ensure that my guests are enjoying a soundtrack specifically catered for dinner or ceremony or whatever games/activities were going on at the moment. I wanted tracks that were shared between me and my personal family members. Brian and Josh listened to all of my requests and ensured they were going to deliver exactly as I planned it. I gave them examples of what I was going for (50's 60's romantic tracks for dinner vs. Bee Gees/Blondie for initial dancing). They not only delivered, they exceeded my expectations. I have reached out to at least, I kid you not, AT LEAST 10 different wedding DJs, independent DJs, radio DJs, even my own good friend as a DJ. Sit back and think about that for a second. Think about how many emails and how long of phone calls that is with TEN different DJs. I found so many DJs that offered MOST things I wanted but lacked heavily in other areas. I found DJs that offered little but wanted a fortune. I found DJs that didn't care about my requests and would prefer to just run their own show. I couldn't find one that was the COMPLETE package. One that would listen to what I wanted and customize a night to make it truly special for me. I couldn't find one that fulfilled everything I needed. But being a perfectionist AND a DJ myself, I couldn't stop until I found him. And then I did. I talked on the phone with Brian for almost an hour and a half on the FIRST phone call I had with him. We bonded over musics and artists and tracks and the GRIND that is in DJing, planning, set up, teardown, I KNOW THE STRUGGLE! We talked about all the services he offered, uplighting, monograms, spotlighting, projectors, microphone stands for my musicians. I knew IMMEDIATELY he was the one. I booked him that night and didn't look back. I can't rave enough about these guys. I communicated the exact lighting to set the mood that I wanted and they delivered. During multiple long phone calls, he was able to remember little details that I described exactly as I wanted, what our favorite songs were, our absolute must plays, our absolute DO NOT PLAYS, I even told him a story about a track that Uyen and I really bonded over at Coachella during our early years. Pros: -They met with us several times (4 in total) to go over the wedding playlist, timeline, etc -They take their job and your wedding very seriously and plan ahead to make sure your wedding music needs are fulfilled (Brian attended our rehearsal and he even filled in for one of our missing groomsmen who couldn't attend) -They're very comfortable to work with. They listen to what you want and make great suggestions based upon their experience at other weddings -They check and confirm with you throughout the wedding to make sure you're ready to move on to the next activity -They worked well with our other vendors and they were able to provide our officiant with wireless microphone for the ceremony -They make themselves available for your questions and if you want to have a meeting on short notice to go over the materials (When Brian wasn't available Sean stepped in to attend our meeting) Cons: They were very accommodating and very comfortable to work with. The only thing I can think of in terms of something they can improve on is to steer away from last minute change requests/recommendations. Some brides are okay with being flexible but last minute changes (regardless if it's good or bad) can be stressful for a lot of people including myself. Sean and Brian did an AMAZING job at our wedding! For our setup we had 2 big screen TV's on each side of the DJ booth! Everybody at our wedding wanted to know who they were and how I found them! We played a couple of games and one of them was the musical chairs scavenger hunt and OMG everyone was laughing and having a blast playing! It really was a crowd pleaser. Brian and Sean are extremely nice and very professional! They played some great music and their MC skills are off the hook!! Thank you again for making our wedding fun and memorable! Thrillogy did a great job at my wedding! Brian DJ'd for both my wedding ceremony and my reception. I initially just asked him to do my reception, but decided later on to hire Thrillogy for the ceremony as well. They were really accommodating. They take feedback very well. Great and flawless music for the ceremony! The reception was a great hit! Everyone was on the dance floor by the end of the night. Actually, we had quite a crowd on the dance floor before the dancing started. They are very competitive in pricing and are very hard working and really try to work with you! I do recommend Brian and his team to DJ at your wedding or special event. I had found Thrillogy Productions through a different website when booking my wedding. At first, I was working with Sean but that got changed and we started getting more in touch with Brian (who is in charge of the music/DJ portion). Both of them were very chill and easy to work with. They were responsive, respectful, kind, and overall just great people. Initially, we had met to discuss adding a video component with Sean, but then we decided otherwise. We then met one more time to go over their DJ-ing package (this time with Brian present). We thought about it for a couple weeks and decided to book them as our vendors since they have experience with Asian weddings. Their prices were reasonable and affordable. We did not need any extra uplighting, and according to Brian the pin spots may be difficult to set up if the ceiling from the venue is too high (which it was). We did not want any sort of accidents to happen on our wedding day, and we really appreciated the professional suggestions that Brian gave us. We instead opted to have the gobo lights with our names, so the package consisted of: DJ, gobo lights, lapel microphone for the pastor, MC, two screens for pictures slideshow, and dancing lights. We met to finalize our contract and this counted as the first of our 2 meetings prior to the wedding day. Meanwhile, we could still contact Brian through phone or email when we needed to, and he sent us a timeline/list of possible songs to play as well as asked for our requests and song choices. Our second meeting was in the actual wedding venue, where we did a site walk, located all the outlets and other important locations, and etc... Brian was very respectful of the venue, and there were absolutely no problems with that. We chose our gobo light design through email as Brian sent us samples, we sent him our pictures for the slideshow, sent our requested songs (first dance, ceremony, entrance, etc...) and we relied on his professional experience to take care of the rest. On our wedding day, our pastor was not given a lapel microphone, but he was given one with a stand. Brian was very good with the songs, and he was very interactive with the guests throughout the reception time. There were fun games and kept everyone occupied and it was all very entertaining. There were some miscommunication between our day-of-coordinator and the DJ during our reception (ex: playing games when we were about to cut the cake, failure to announce group photo, etc...), but they were all minor considering the other things happening in the day. Overall, I think that Thrillogy Productions offers a great value, quality, and professionalism for their services as well as great customer service. Brian and two members of his team just helped DJ/MC at our Vietnamese/English reception July 30, 2016 at Marina Village. Not only was he the life of the party, he is the most genuinely caring, attentive and personable DJ/MC I've seriously encountered. There was some traffic and our horribly disappointing food caterers (Paracel Seafood from Orange County) arrived only 30 minutes before our guests arrived. Naturally, I freaked out and almost broke down when I came into the venue an hour before our reception and there was no sign of our catering company and they did not set up anything. Brian was sweet enough to check up on us, and when the caterers finally arrived, he tried to calm me down. The beginning of our reception was so chaotic because of the delay and because uninvited guests arrived and stole other people's seats. Brian ended up playing the wedding coordinator role as well because the original coordinator from Paracel that was supposed to come totally bailed on us. Brian is flexible and responds quite well to sudden changes and he knows how to amp up the crowd. He is absolutely super respectful as well and not "vo duyen" like a lot of the Vietnamese DJs that I met. His price was amazingly reasonable for all the work that he did, and his music selection was wonderful. We had a combination of Vietnamese, Latin, Modern, and everyone's all time favorite EDM!! Even the Vietnamese adults that never dance at weddings all got up dancing to his music and everyone had a blast. Lots of people kept asking about the DJ/MC crew and I definitely referred Brian to everyone! Last but not least, my Hubby got quite wild towards the end of the night and Brian was sweet enough to say "He's had a lot to drink, make sure to take care of him." So sweet! Book your next Vietnamese/American Reception with Brian & his team and you will not be disappointed. I know it's not much compared to all he has helped us with, but I ended up paying Brian an extra $100 because he was that awesome. We love you Brian! read more

Brian DJ/MCed at our wedding and we just couldn't be happier with our decision to hire him. He is one of the most laid back and helpful people I've met. Not only is he amazing at DJ/MCing, he is also a very personable, the type that makes you feel comfortable talking to and want to make friends with. He genuinely wants you and your guests to have a great time on your wedding day. Of all the requests that we made, he delivered them professionally and even went beyond what we asked for. His games were a hit - our guests had so much fun with the musical chair and the centerpiece giveaway games. He worked so well with our coordinator and even put up with our problematic band that wouldn't listen to our orders. He alternated back and forth with the band smoothly and allowed the older folks and the younger crowds to all have a great time. I would recommend Brian and his team to anyone who's looking for a DJ that is reasonably priced and genuinely cares about you and your event. Throughout our wedding reception, he checked in with us, helped calm us down when there was a glitch in the schedule or when we were running behind, gave us suggestions and always politely asked for our permissions on what to do next and when.
