Lola was clearly in distress and wasn't breathing well. After the vet saw her X-rays it was determined that Lola had fluid in her lungs due to tumors in and around her lung. Every single person we encounter at North GA was professional and kind. We decided that it was best for Lola to put her to sleep. When the time came we held Lola while the vet gave her the shots. I wish I could remember the vets name as she was so patient and sweet to us and Lola. I would highly recommend North GA Veterinary Specialist.

The second time they only gave her a saline IV for 48 hours and her vet gave her the antibiotic which saved her life. I've spent about $6000 there over 3 visits in less than 2 years. It is criminal what they charge for minimal treatment and some of the nurses treat you like you are crazy. One nurse looked at me in a very threatening way. The other receptionists delayed her treatment and were so pedantic. condescending and neglectful. I will never go back there and wouldn't recommend this clinic to anyone who loves their pet. I spoke to a manager and she confirmed that they would not have given her an antibiotic for a UTI. They have no idea what they are doing and are robbing people of their money. It is sickening and they should lose their license to practice.

A LITTLE Pom Pom on the tail and very low on the legs. Well, if you look at the pictures, she didn't even get touched on the legs nor the head. Although i said leave a little, they didn't even touch those areas. I signed off a pre-estimate for $112 then they called my mom to say she needed this & she needed that bc they couldn't do the cut. Ok cool, didn't even mention how much, whatever. Then i pick her up AT 5PM, somehow they needed 6 HOURS to take care of a tiny cat, I've never in her 2yrs getting haircuts have to put her to sleep. Now my baby is wobbly around for the next 12hrs with a FUCKED UP haircut for $289, idc about spending on my baby but WTF, this was INSANE. On top of that, NO BATH. She came out as dirty and hairy and she went in. I'm extremely frustrated & disappointed. Very lovely staff but the prices are unfair.

They do not perform surgeries at this office so they gave us some recs (our normal vet is closed on Thursdays) so we brought her first thing the next morning to animal hospital of north Gwinnett! Turns out vet David thought she would be able to pass the item instead of surgery. So nugget stayed with them under observation for the day. It was so obvious everyone cared for nugget as their own! Everyone was so kind and caring! Wish we were closer! Also not a price gouging office! I felt like the quote for the surgery and what our bill ended up being were both fair prices for the services! I cannot recommend enough! Thank you to the whole team here for taking care of our sweet girl!

Their compassion & expertise is unmatched. Our 2 Labs lived to be 12 & 13 years old. Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago some digestive symptoms led to the discovery of lymphoma in our Coonhound. Dr Wit was honest with us & told us that, other than chemo which would be torture for our girl (& yield little results) there wasn't t much that could be done. He left the decision to us, but we knew what had to be done. The compassion shown us through that process couldn't have been more generous had it been their own dog that was ill. The vet tech who had worked with our girl & knew her well (& was loved by our dog!) assisted & clearly shared our heartbreak. Beyond medical care, boarding & grooming are top notch. Our in-laws also have put their dogs' care in their hands and have the same respect for this group of folks as we do. I'd recommend them to anyone in need of care for your animals - they're awesome folks.

I brought in a stool sample after personally seeing worms in my dog's stool and paid $60 for a fecal examination. The clinic reported that no parasites were found, which directly contradicted what I observed in the sample I submitted. Instead of addressing this discrepancy, I was told I would have to pay for another office visit before my dog could receive any treatment. Paying for a test that produced results I cannot reconcile with what I witnessed, and then being asked to pay again, was extremely disappointing. I have requested the laboratory report and a review of my case. If this matter is not resolved satisfactorily, I will file a complaint with the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine

So I paid $60 for an exam to get a superficial answer, then was almost definitely upcharged on the shots and the medicine. Also, no one introduced themselves. At least I don't think; genuinely hard to tell because out of the three people that came in, the two talking to me blabber at speeds that would put even the most insufferable salesperson to shame. the third person that came in and took my cat did exactly that. She took my cat, didn't acknowledge or say anything to me, held him incorrectly (with his legs dangling wtf?) and had dropped him off just as abruptly. They also insulted my cat and accused him of being grouchy (or something to that extent) and told the assistant to "watch out for him". TLDR; super impersonable staff, upcharges on service and medications, and unhelpful results Bring your pet here if you hate animals.

Now I cannot rave about our vet Dr Kaala enough. She takes her time, builds our dogs trust, and genuinely cares. From the moment she walks in the room, she is calm and kind, she gets on his level, and she takes her time to let him warm up. She is a wonderful example to her staff and sets a perfect tone. No matter how many times our dog walks away from her, she keeps her cool and encourages him back. She talks us through his care and makes sure all our questions are answered (yes we are those very involved dog parents). Dr Kaala is truly a gem and we are so grateful to have been recommended to go to her. We drive 40 minutes just go to Tiger Tails based of a recommendation from a friend who also drives that far! Dr Kaala is worth it and after two visits now we are clearly not going anywhere else.

The emergency hospital had given him a fever-reducing shot that was supposed to last 24 hours. When we arrived at Tiger Tails first thing the next morning, we clearly told the staff and doctor about this and that it had only been 12 hours since it was given. The doctor took his temperature, did a quick checkup, and said he was fine -- then sent us home. We had pleaded that it was strange he wasn't eating or drinking and he was vomiting with hints of blood, but she kept insisting that he may have just ate something bad or just elder dog symptoms. Just 13 hours later, my dog passed away. I trusted Tiger Tails to take our concerns seriously and to monitor him properly after everything he had been through, but I feel that they dismissed his condition too easily. I am heartbroken and will never forget how this was handled. Please be cautious and make sure your pet gets the thorough care they deserve.
