Nice facility! Clean space overall actually. I was impressed. I also like that its black owned! It was a nice experience for the $15 trial, and to be able to experience both the infrared sauna and cold plunge for that price (via an IG ad). IMO it's only worth buying a package for special occasions (if you want to treat yourself), however a monthly unlimited or limited memberships are too expensive for the sauna and cold plunge. To make it worth it for the unlimited, you'd need to go multiple times a week. It might be more worth it if you add the gym membership for just a little extra but for the sauna + cold plunge membership, you'd have to go at least once a week for any of the memberships (limited or unlimited), to make sense. They count one session as either the sauna or the cold plunge (not both together). So to get both you have to use 2 sessions, which sucks. One session should include a complete set of both. The gym was completely empty and practically all saunas were too, so i'm not sure how profitable this place is. Only a couple of saunas are supposed to go to 175 degrees. I supposedly used one of those on my visit, but the hottest it ever got was 164 and even that decreased from time to time. They recommend no longer than 20 mins at a time. I more than doubled that time staying 42 mins and still wasn't satisfied with the level of sweat/temperature. Which makes it even more not worth it membership-wise. I need a GOOD sweat and this was lacking that for me. The cold plunge was 47 degrees and they only recommended doing it for 2-5 minutes at a time. It was a great feeling and i'd do it again for $15. But worth it for a membership??? - Uhm not so much. Lastly, after experiencing infrared and because of the temperature concerns of not reaching above 164 F, I much prefer the dry sauna (a la LA Fitness). Yup, I can get that at LA Fitness for a fraction of the cost and leave there feeling great with a high metabolism due to all the sweat. This place didn't make me feel that way. Yes its much cleaner than LA Fitness (depending on which LAF you go to), and there's something to be said for that because you want that in a sauna, but all other things considered, price matters especially for what you get. I wish they would consider lowering the cold plunge prices (considering the short nature of it - it's not like you're chilling in there like you would a hot tub for a prolonged period - so I don't get why it's so expensive); either that or double the number of sessions - for the "limited" membership for that particular service. If there was a steam room too it'd be worth it. Or better yet all 4. Steam room, dry and infrared saunas, and cold plunge You do get a private clean room, vit c filtered shower and towels. There is also an iPad in the room to "listen" to whatever you want while there, including "listening" to youtube (not to be confused with watching)....if that matters - but IMO its pretty standard. I wanted this to be 4 or 5 stars, but it just didn't deserve more than 3 stars at the end of the day overall mainly due to price not matching the services. if I lived in the neighborhood maybe but I couldn't see myself driving 25 mins each way multiple times per week for it. The guy that I spoke to on my visit also said he would follow up the following week. I'm still waiting. Lol. read more

Put succinctly, I love this place. Each time I've visited the sauna studio I have had a perfect experience. The private sauna suites are cozy and sparkling clean. Each suite is equipped with everything you need to have a great experience including plenty of towels, toiletries for post-sauna clean-up in your private shower, and an iPad to help you set your perfect spa mood. The aroma therapy cooling cloth (in your choice of any of four scents) is a wonderful touch. The chilled, scented cloth will be given to you at the beginning of your session by one of Thrive's amazing staff - each of whom is more friendly and professional than the last - or even Thrive's super personable owner, Lloyd. Once again, Instagram suggested another cool experience for me to try! Thrive Sauna tempted me with their low introductory rate, and I was dying to get in a good sweat! No brainer, I signed up online for the $25 intro session which included an hour of Infrared Sauna+ Vit. C infused Shower followed by a cold plunge! I was VERY excited to say the least to try out this plunge. After signing up, I was conveniently reminded via a courteous text and follow-up phone call as the day approached. INITIAL THOUGHTS UPON ARRIVING: GPS takes you to what is designated as 'the back' of the salon by a paper on the door, but my boyfriend and I were still able to walk in. Prior to getting to the door, there is unfortunately some construction going on in the area that makes for the entryway to be quite questionable when it comes to safety. There were some plywood boards down on-top of exposed broken-up concrete and clay. Some boards were bowing and not secured which made for an uneasy entryway of a business. Definitely not handicap accessible! **SIDE NOTE: later we were informed it was all due to expansion of the Beltline infront of the building. Unsure if anything can be done on behalf of the business to make this safer for clients. Sense we entered on the backside, we had to wonder around to find someone who looked as if they worked there. We passed through a few hallways and were excited as we got a glimpse of the private sauna/shower rooms. After running into a man whom seemed to work there, we introduced ourselves and informed him that we were here for our appointment. He casually took us back through the attached gym area and ushered us to a suite. After settling us into a suite that was equipped with a sauna, shower and a bench, the gentleman quickly gave us a run-down of the use of an Ipad that your'e able to during your time in the sauna to stream music through the speakers. He also informed us of the screen inside the sauna that allows you to change temps and mood lighting. Other than that, the introduction was lacking what I felt was vital information for such advanced equipment and to 2 newcomers, at that. We were pretty much left to enjoy at our own leisure. After very little instruction, we got into the room and were anxious to get in and start sweating! The room was equipped with 2 large towels, two cold compresses infused with essential oils (SO REFRESHING), some disposable hair caps, a floor mat, and deodorant. Inside the shower was shampoo, conditioner and body wash. We followed the recommended 45 minutes in the sauna, followed by a rinse off and cold plunge. We did have to leave the suite and walk down the hall (in your towel) to the private cold plunge. Again, we were left with very little instruction or info, other than the fact that the tub was at about 53 degrees and we had 15 minutes alotted time. GOSH, IT WAS SO COLD!!! I committed though and eventually made it all the way in, ONLY FOR A QUICK SECOND THOUGH! haha After returning to our room, showering and dressing, we made our way to the front of the gym. We were then checked out and informed of some membership and packaging prices. The woman at the front wasn't pushy at all and understood we were just in for the one time experience. Overall, I felt refreshed and ready to face the day, but I also left lacking information about the overall benefit of these services and what benefit they were to me. Not a great overall sales pitch, if you ask me. Great studio, great accommodations, but they could benefit from some sales pitch improvement and a short, but insightful speech that can better introduce the incoming newcomers, like myself, to all they offer at Thrive. Also, I think the rooms could benefit from a mirror. It was a bit awkward getting ready but unable to look at myself at the comfort of my suite. Definitely something I think this business could benefit from. Definitely give this business a try. Beautiful gym at a low monthly rate, very clean, and you don't have to go far for a little added sauna luxury to your regular workout. Thanks again Thrive! read more

I have been going to Thrive for the past 5 years and highly recommend it. The new space in Chamblee is fantastic. I've enjoyed working out with Angela 3 x week. She is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about helping her clients. She motivates and pushes me to keep building strength and tightening my core muscles which have helped tremendously with my balance and stability. After researching the benefits of sauna and cold plunge, I found Thrive Sauna. I paid for the $20 introductory offer online but could not understand how to book the introductory offer either through MindBody or the app. I called for assistance and was directed back to the app to book. I decided to just drop in during business hours to inquire if I could book my introductory offer but there was no one at the check in desk. I waited for assistance but no one ever came. I tried to call the number while I was there but no answer. I am frustrated by this experience and would like my $20 back since it appears I will never find someone willing to help me. read more
