Why would they make an appointment with him then?!?! I was referred to the counseling center through my Saint Al doctor, and my husband works for Saint Al's yet they couldn't seem to make sure that insurance would cover the appointment. When I called and informed them of the huge bill, the lady on the phone was super rude and said it was my job to call the insurance company ahead. I did call them ahead!! The Insurance co said a copay for counseling is 20 bucks. How am I supposed to know I need to check the specific counselor's name for coverage? The receptionist was unfeeling and rude. They Don't take care of their patients and don't take any responsibility for their errors.

At the time, during my court order to attend outpatient treatment, I was not mentally or spiritually ready to commit my life to sobriety so once I graduated and got off probation I did go back into my darkness of addiction. It took me a year to claim my life back after witnessing my best friend die from the same disease that was slowly killing me. I reverted back to what Ascent taught me. Im so grateful to be celebrating my 6 months and attending school to become a social worker myself. I am responsible for my sobriety, not my family, not ascent or the court system.
