Excellent brewery and taproom. Plenty of room to hang out for a while. It's easy to find, and they have a big parking lot. They sell food which is a plus. The pizzas are from a local cheese shop. Everything was delicious. We had a fun time!

I was in the area, and have known about Thumbknuckle, but haven't tried much of their beer.  First I love the name and logo of the brewery (state of Wisconsin used as a hand around a pint glass).  It's a great spot as it's on 54, so you'd be a fool if you missed it. The brewery must have been some industrial building as there are metal walls but has this trendy modern feel with the wooden ceiling and lights.  It's a great space with lots of seating at the bar and table - good for bringing a group of people. Now the beer. Unfortunately they've been a hit or miss for me. I've had three of their beers, the Belgian Beauty, Boathouse IPA, and Solea Amber.  The Beligan didn't excite me at all. The Boathouse was decent. I drink a lot of IPAs, it wouldn't be near the top of my list, but had no problem drinking it.  My favorite was the Solea Amber. Solid, solid beer. A little lighter than most Ambers I like, but it has a great crisp flavor. I could drink it all day. Can't wait to try more beers as they have a great variety that everyone should be able to find a beer they like.  Good thing I have that NEW Beerport so I'll be coming here again later this year.

Love this place! Beers are brewed in house by local owners, Dain and Ed.There hasn't been a single beer they brew that I haven't enjoyed. My favorite is their Gunmetal Porter. The atmosphere is pretty amazing, all done through the help of their families. Just about every Saturday different food trucks will be on site cooking/smoking up some delicious foods as well. Definitely a must stop destination.

I loved Bridge Up Brewing even before I tasted their beer. This is a little local Wisconsin brewery located on the basement-level of the building that houses Sonny's Italian Kitchen. When you walk into the lobby, instead of walking up the steps to Sonny's, take the ramp down below to Bridge Up and enjoy a beer or a flight of beers. They have a small menu of appetizers, mostly wings and fried things, but if you want a full meal, you should probably go upstairs to Sonny's. I didn't want a full meal, so I stayed at Bridge Up and ordered a flight of beers. One of them was a sour (I love sours), and the others were some of the more popular beer flavors. I picked the U-Pick, which is a flavored with Door County cherries, and was one of my favorites. The others were the higher ABV beers: Flip Flops and Bikini Tops (an imperial IPA) and Stubborn Sturgeon (a New England hazy IPA). I loved all of the beers I chose, but the cherry-flavored U-Pick was my favorite. When in Door County, always choose the cherry-flavored thing! If Bridge Up has U-Pick available when you visit, I highly suggest trying it. The people who work here are very friendly but also stay out of your way, which I appreciated. They encourage you to play something on the jukebox, so go ahead and put on your favorite songs.

There are several beers on tap as well as in cans, ciders, and soda. I'm not a beer drinker, so I tried a Cherry Von Stihl Cider from the nearby Von Stihl Winery/Cidery/Distillery. I may have found my new cider! Anywho, for a small town like Algoma, this place was hoppin', and it wasn't just locals! There is plenty of seating indoors at the bar or around it. There is a patio right outside, also with ample seating, The outdoors is dog friendly, but I don't know about the indoors (although a giant garage door opens to combine the two, so...) There is a small corner offering up various merch like hats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. 10/10 would recommend a stop for a quick drink if you're in the area or just passing by. Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere with very nice and quick-witted bartenders! 40/2025

I've got to dock a star for plastic cups... but I understand the reasoning

The main dining room can get very loud on busy nights so I appreciated the more closed off space for a large dinner event. The caveat being we received spotty service - for example, water pitchers were set in the corner and you had to get up to pour your own water. At minimum, it would've been better to just leave pitchers on the table directly for faster access. Food was hit or miss. While we loved the appetizers, half of our table found their main entrees to be MEH. For example, my halibut arrived warm but the curry was room temperature. My colleague said her burger was one of the worst she's had. My other colleague said his steak was mediocre. People who ordered pizza loved it. An unfortunate mixed bag given the lively environment and nice ambiance. I'd come back again to give it another try because the menu rotates enough where I'm sure I'll land on some better food options next time.

There's a common green turf area that would be dog friendly and good for larger gatherings with fire pits. We had a server check on us and give us great service. We ordered a few apps, hummus, baked feta, pizzas and more. The food was great and they make a decent pear old fashioned. We enjoyed the field study Hazy IPA and the stout was awesome. Great space to chill and enjoy the conversation and have some privacy as well. They have heat/AC in the cocoons to make it comfy too. Great venue and service and the beer was great!
