I also tried a few of the hard ciders and seltzers they make, like the Wisco Hard Seltzer, which comes in several flavors. I tried the Bomb Pop, which tastes exactly like a Bomb Pop popsicle! It's the perfect sip for summer. You can get a flight of different beers, hard ciders, hard seltzers, mead, etc., and sample your heart out. I did just that, and tasted several of their offerings. I kept coming back to their hard seltzers -- these were my favorite! Stillmank really knows how to check that box for adult beverages that are refreshing and light, sweet but not too sweet, and has interesting flavors. This is a brewery and tasting room only. It's not a restaurant, so it's basically a room with a bar and some tables, with a foosball table in the corner. Which, when you really think about it, what more do you need sometimes?

A scant 56 miles south of Michigan, you can't get much more north of here…read more Having been the only person who signed up for a tour of Paradise North on a Thursday night, I had owner and distiller Tom Feld all to myself. The distillery is his retirement passion project after beginning grown up life as an environmental scientist prior to transitioning to accounting and finance. I learned about his love of Barbados rum, his Portuguese alembic still, and how he's experimenting with rum using a solera aging process. Limited by only his imagination, Tom has several small batch test runs available in the tasting room, under the Boiler Room Series label. Tom has honored his childhood in his spirits, sourcing local grain from the same farmer his father used on their farm. A forager at heart, he uses spruce tips, prickly ash berries, and birch bark in his gin and sources Puerto Rican cocoa bean husks for his chocolate vodka. While I came for the rum and whiskey, I stayed for the Cherry Bounce. Cherry Bounce is pretty common in Wisconsin, usually made at home in a Mason jar with those famous Door County cherries, a neutral spirit, and sugar. Tom puts his own spin on this tradition by aging it in his bourbon barrels. While currently available in the tasting room, this is unfortunately a seasonal spirit that won't be for sale again until later this summer. Looks like there will be a return trip in my future!

The salmon itself was pretty good because of the sauce, which provided majority of the flavor on top of salt and pepper. There were some vegetable bits included, such as broccolini, carrots, and what seemed like Palestinian couscous. I liked the dish overall, even though I would have enjoyed it more if there were more pieces of vegetables included. There were no performances when we were there, but I saw a jukebox inside the store, which was pretty cool. Most of the songs included were country in terms of genre, which wasn't my cup of tea, but the retro vibe of the machine being there definitely put a smile on my face.

Plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to this spot makes it very easy to access! Situated in what I have to assume is a modernized factory or warehouse, Titletown has a fun and industrial atmosphere! While the main taproom boasts pinball machines galore and plenty of seating at the bar or tables, the real star is their upstairs Sky Lounge! With a few tables, bar seating, and a perfect rooftop patio overlooking the river, this was our favorite part! Enjoying the sun with a nice, cold beer is peak summer living! Our servers were also delightful throughout our visit. I tried two different beers during our visit, the Blueberry Lager and the Orange Crush Citrus Wheat. The Citrus Wheat was served with an orange slice and was the perfect accompaniment to the summer sun. Crushable, yet tasty brews complimented the beautiful scenery. The rooms are not real big; but plenty of room for one to two people. There is a whirlpool tub, a large, walk-in shower, a couple of nightstands, and a desk. There is only one chair in the room, and no refrigerator. Ice is available from the bartender. Breakfast is included with your stay, and there is an omelette station and assorted breads and cereal. I ate in the restaurant one evening, sitting at the bar. The bartender was very busy, but service was good and the food was excellent. I had a burger with fries and everything was very tasty, fresh, and hot. The bar and restaurant seemed to attract a local crowd as well as the patrons of the hotel. I definitely recommend both a hotel and the restaurant. The hotel was very reasonably priced and worked great for what I needed.
