The prices were quite reasonable, and all the staff onsite were extremely helpful in guiding us through the rooms, especially if we had questions about certain items. They were all cheerful and friendly, welcoming us to the event. Despite the large number of customers, the checkout line moved fairly rapidly and quite smoothly. They were set up to accept cash and credit or debit cards; there may have been other forms of payment accepted, but those choices were enough for me. The family lived on the east coast so I volunteered to help get the house resolved since I live in Albuquerque. We had two weeks to sort personal items, pull a few things for the assisted living center, empty and clean the house. I called Barb and told her I only had two weeks to get it done. Without hesitation, Barb said she would do it. Even after I told her the home location (not the best part of town), she was still on board. She managed the expectations of the family by informing them that area of town did not typically produce high dollars at estate sales. She and Keith came in and did an amazing job of sorting, cleaning, and organizing, then making the sale happen. Keith even made multiple trips to the dump with trash. After the sale, Barb had the remaining items removed and the house was clean and ready for the sale to close within the two week time period. The family made some money to help care for my friend and the job got done quickly, efficiently, and expertly. The family was given a cash payout with a spreadsheet within a week of the sale. A lot of estate sale companies would not have taken an estate sale in this area because there just was not enough money in it for them. Barb did it without putting any limits or conditions on her commission. Since it was obvious that there were not a lot of high dollar items in the house, Barb knew she could not afford to hire help, so she and Keith did the work all by themselves, with just a little assistance from me pulling the personal items. Barb told me that they started the business to help people and that is why she remains in the business. I will forever be indebted to Barb and Keith for helping me get this house taken care of for my friend. They are, and always will be, a high quality company with the right name - INTEGRITY! I was looking for a specific bedroom set from New Classic Furniture. Not only was Furniture 42 able to order the exact collection I wanted, they beat the price I had already negotiated elsewhere. What really earned this review, though, was the people. From the moment I walked into the store, it was obvious that owner Jackie Robinson Jr. has built more than a furniture business. He's built a team that genuinely cares about customers and takes pride in doing things the right way. Every interaction felt authentic. There was no pressure, no games, just honest people who wanted to help. I had the opportunity to work with Angelo and Thomas as well, and they left just as much of an impression as Jackie. They were respectful, hardworking, communicated well, worked together seamlessly, and took genuine pride in what they were doing. As a customer, it was easy to see they had been trusted, mentored, and given an opportunity to grow. One moment really stood out to me. After my furniture arrived, Jackie called to let me know everything was ready. During that conversation, he asked if I already had a foundation for the bed because he wanted to make sure I had everything I needed before delivery. As it turns out, I did need one. He had them in stock, added two Twin XL foundations to my order, and delivered them with the rest of the furniture that same day. The previous retailer never even mentioned that I would need a foundation. Jackie anticipated a need I didn't even know I had and solved the problem before it became one. That's customer service. Everything arrived together, was assembled professionally, and was exactly what I ordered. Furniture can be purchased almost anywhere. Character, integrity, and genuine customer care are much harder to find. If you're shopping for furniture in Albuquerque, I highly recommend giving Furniture 42 a chance to earn your business. They certainly earned mine.

In response to some of the complaints I see here, some…read moreitems are priced by the individual sellers, many of the estate items are limited in pricing flexibility (yes, because of the court - appraisals are done independently and submitted to the court for approval). It's a fun shop and you never know what you might find. I've never had a problem with Roger or his staff.
