Stay away from this place especially if you have an expensive valuable handmade rug. My partially silk Tabriz rug has two different colors now plus all colors are all washed . The original colors were white and pink (classical Tabriz) and now all colors are beige colors .I am also super impressed how they managed to make the rug look like divided in half with two different pallets of color . Besides the poor quality of job they have done which is not reversible, I have three different types of receipts from the drop off of rug till the day I have picked it up. I have a large hand made rug 9X11 that needed cleaning. Because it's wool and handmade it needed to be cleaned by a professional, specialty rug service. Mike came out to our home and looked at the rug. He was very knowledgeable and gave us a quote. He told us the rug would be done in two weeks. After two weeks I hadn't heard anything back so I gave them a call. Mike explained that they were short on staff, so it was taking a little bit longer than expected. When they delivered the rug I was a happy customer!!! It was so clean and pretty and there was new padding for the entire rug. I would definitely use their rug cleaning services again. Michael Rose is a friendly, professional man. He was very accommodating and flexible and easy to work with. He picked our rug at our home, did a great job cleaning it (it doesn't smell of heavy chemicals), he took the time to explain his process of cleaning rugs too! And he brought back our rug to us. This was the second time I took some rugs to One World Rug Care, and as before, they did an amazing job this time cleaning 4 rugs and repairing fringe (pulled from vacuuming) on 2 of them. Previously, I'd had a New Zealand rug bought from Pottery Barn years ago repaired, as my dog clawed 3 holes down to the webbing. One World has gone beyond my expectations in the quality of their service. Moreover, Sohail spent a significant amount of time explaining what each of my rugs needed and what they could do, when I brought them in this time. And earlier this year, when the first rug I took to them was delivered, cleaned and repaired, Sohail provided us with an extensive education in Middle Eastern rug origins, patterns, colors, etc. as well as his expertise for our ongoing at-home rug care. This is a wonderful family-owned business. We brought four, unique Afghan carpets to One World Rug Care. The carpets had been stored in our garage and were infested with bugs and were coming apart. One World had the knowledge to restore the rugs, but they did so at an incredibly reasonable price and they did excellent work. Beyond the skill, knowledge, and quality of work at One World, I also want to comment on the kind and warm staff. Each time we go into One World we get a history lesson about human migration and craft tradition. Have loved every minute of my interactions with Michael, Miguel, and their parents. They came by the same afternoon I called. We have a beautiful rug but it had horrendous moth damage. WHEW! I can stop holding my breath (and my review). This review took 9 months to write. Yeah, it was one of those "saga" stories, a sad comedy that you never want to star in, only this time, the other players were generally very good humans I couldn't help rooting for. Took a wool rug in for cleaning, and it was returned to me a different color. Glue issues, who knew?! Anyhow, in between life stories and visits with the goats, Sohail and Michael tried their best to make it right, trying several cleaning methods to remove the discoloration, to no avail. They generously offered to replace the rug, and we were given a selection to choose from. Turns out those were samples, and our final choice came on the sloooooooooooooooooowest boat from India. Waited 8 months for that rug to arrive, and now that it's here, it looks great in our home. I do appreciate that they kept on top of the order from their end, and was impressed that they offered to replace our ruined rug; just wish communication had been more consistent. We had actually given up on ever getting the replacement, and were happily surprised when we heard that the new rug had arrived. This is a great family business, run by good people, and I will do business with them again. read more
