Well, dang it. So much for the no motorcycle rule in our house! But if we were going to break it, at least it was broken in style. I came out of the bathroom in our house to see two gentlemen in our driveway delivering this beautiful pre-owned black leather and orange bike that looks brand new! Seriously - there's not a single speck of dust on the thing! My father-in-law bought it for himself for his 75th birthday during this pandemic. And therefore he had to buy it with the governor's regulations to see it online only and have it delivered. The staff did a great job making sure the photos of the bike were thorough and the description was extremely accurate! Not only did they give him an AMAZING deal of a price, they also gave him a certificate worth $350 towards a helmet - which I love! I'm still not thrilled about the motorcycle - I'm not going to lie. BUT my husband and father-in-law are going to take classes together on how to ride the bike and I love that they will have that activity together! So that's a major plus! Thanks, Thunderbird, for the amazing customer service WITH the social distancing!

Always great guys to work with. Thanks for hooking me up and getting this sporty rollin'

    Service quote

I took a fork in to get seals and a new reflector. I had the part in hand and off the bike already. The quote they gave me shook me. I could buy all the tools needed to do this job myself for the price they quoted me. I have attached the quote. 2 hours of time for a couple seals and some oil. Absolutely outrageous. I will never get work done here. I rather buy a new bike.

Still the worst mistake I've made in decades: buying a bike from Aaron and Thunderbird. Rip off IMO. Harley in general is extremely overpriced but if you've got a small wiener, keep riding them! Literally any other bike would be less expensive and more reliable.

Manufacturing defective cracks in HD Dunlop tire.

Thunderbird Harley Davidson's service is a complete joke and waste of time. They have had my bike for 5 days to evaluate clear manufacturing defective cracks in HD Dunlop tires that THEY sold me. Instead of going to bat for their loyal customers they choose to come up with every reason under the sun from this is a cupping issue, to weather in NM, to you've gotten good life out of this tire. To my knowledge cracks are NEVER supposed to happen EVER during the life of a tire PERIOD! This isn't the first time Thunderbird has not gone to bat for their customers. I fought with them over an intake leak for 4 months, which Harley ended up replacing because I proved it out, not Thunderbird. I will drive to El Paso and order off the HD website to never give Thunderbird another penny of my hard earned money. I would go to Santa Fe but it's the same owner.

Jody, the salesperson was fast and informative in the numerous questions I had on the bike. I showed up in the morning, signed the papers and was out of there within the hour. Spent the next two and a half days riding home, hoping the bike would perform as expected. It did. Very happy, needless to say with the experience there.. My only complaint is that they didn't list all the extra features the bike had already had installed... not a bad thing at all! Thank you Jody and moto authority.

Buyers are going to pay NM excise tax on the purchase price of the vehicle and registration fees no matter where they buy a vehicle BUT at Moto Authority buyers get gouged with an excessive document fee for Moto Authority making the trip to MVD. Moto Authority gets a commission for selling your bike and on top of that they gouge the buyer with an excessive document fee for their time. They should be satisfied with the commission on the sale of a bike they have no money invested in. They do provide floor space to display the bike and their overhead and operating costs are real BUT the sales commission should cover the trip to MVD. Moto Authority says that "For Over 17 Years: New Mexico's Preferred Choice for Motorcycles..." BUT that reputation was built by the old owner. The new owner(s) acts like a car dealer with inflated after the sale fees. When you want to sell your bike the smart move is to spend $5 and advertise your bike on Craigslist. The buyer will pay you directly and you won't pay commission to anyone. Then the buyer goes to MVD to pay the tax and registration fees without paying a document fee. That's MORE money in YOUR pocket and more money in the buyer's pocket. 10/11/25 EDIT to the owner: Your "document fees" are excessive and that is a FACT. If your consignment customers don't list their bikes on Craigslist and keep more money in theirs and the buyers pockets then they deserve what they get at Moto Authority. Your "pride" in your document fees won't get you what you think. I supported Moto Authority in the past and always got a fair deal from Steve but I wouldn't buy a quart of oil from you.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Indian Motorcycle of Albuquerque!!…read more I'm live in Connecticut, on Sunday (6/14) morning, the first ride of a 10-day vacation with 50 other riders (30 bikes), riding my 2015 Indian Roadmaster from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, for the first leg of our tour... Barely out of town, my clutch lets go.... I had the bike hauled to Indian Motorcycle of Albuquerque, even though they were closed Sundays and Mondays. I parked the bike out front and caught a ride so that I could meet up with the rest of the group in Madrid, then on to Santa Fe. At around 11 in the morning, I called the store to let them know my bike was out front and to ask what could be done to get it fixed.. of course, there was no answer.... I then tried sending a text to that number, just in case it would go through... I immediately received a "canned' text stating that they were closed on Sundays and Mondays. I'm beginning to think that my vacation is ruined... Less than 5 minutes later, I receive a text saying that they are contacting their Service Manager and they'd get back to me, in the meantime, they searched the country for a dealer with a clutch in stock... there are only 5 available in the whole country, they could probably have my bike fixed by the end the week, possibly the next week.... Vacation ruined... I then ask, what would they give me on a trade in for my Roadmaster, thinking if I bought a bike on Tuesday when they reopen, I could meet back up with the group in Durango, Colorado... They say their Sales Manager, Smokey, would call me... Smokey calls me and says he's going into the shop to take a look at my bike, just in case there's something easy they could fix... he calls a few hours later to let me know that it is the clutch and gives me a pretty good number for what they'd give me for my bike on trade. He then absolutely shocks me and says that they're willing to come in on Monday, their day off, to get me back on the road. I picked out a "left-over" 2025 Roadmaster Darkhorse PowerPlus 108, with the 200-watt audio system! I show up on Monday morning, Smokey and Eric are already prepping the bike. I asked them to install a heel shifter and armrests. I'm swapping everything from my old bike to the new, when they inform me that they don't have the "Darkhorse" armrests, but they did have the black pads. So, they swapped the armrests from my old bike (chrome) to the new... At some point Denise (the GM) came in to do the contract and financing, again, this is their day off!!! She had other places to be! The whole process was flawless! The only problem was GEICO, the binders they kept sending over were wrong, that was probably the longest part of the whole ordeal! They had me back on the road, on my new bike, before 11AM I cannot thank them enough for saving my vacation and going above and beyond with incredible support and customer service. If you're looking for a new motorcycle, look at Indian Motorcycle of Albuquerque first!! They took care of me when I needed them the most, on their days off, even !!!

Coach David and assistant coach Matt were marvelous instructors and wonderfully supportive in teaching this absolute rookie a thing 'r two about how to stay alive on a two-wheeled ticket to cool. The course starts with a couple days in the classroom, learning the book smarts on safe riding strategies. The next two days get ya on that horse for some serious hours rolling through the range course on your very own Harley. They start you off getting used to the clutch/throttle synergy, power walking the bike a couple laps til you can get your feet on the pegs while staying upright. You cruise through curves, hard braking, u-turns (sigh), signaling and merging, and generally figuring out how to maneuver these beasts. There's no interaction in traffic; it's all completed in a large parking lot. So, expect to get the fundamentals of riding in preparation for real-world practice hours in the great big real world. What you take away from the class is heaps more confidence in your ability to actually do this thing, a tummy-fluttering enthusiasm to do it some more, and an MSF endorsement for your drivers license to get you street-legal to do it. The class provides the bike and helmet, but you bring your own gear otherwise--boots, gloves, sleeves, and long pants. There may be some low-pressure Harley-Davidson sales tactics mixed in a bit, but nothing any average, budget-minded folk can't get through with beer money intact. It really was less about the brand and more about responsible riding. I am SOOOOO glad my husband signed me up for this class, not withstanding my slight pee-pee-heartedness at being for once and for all ousted from the back of his bike. Can not WAIT to get into another parking lot... and perhaps onto a quiet backroad for some more practice!
