To be fair, the only thing I have had from Thunderbird II is a salad. I really wanted a salad and I had heard that they had many choices of salads and my older daughter has gotten several salads here in the past and continues to rave about them so I figured to give them a try. I do remember having the chance to have pizza and possibly a cheesesteak from the original thunderbird many years ago. I believe it is in Broomall and if I can remember that far back, it was also pretty good. Thunderbird II is also located next to one of my favorite, most-frequented places, so I am constantly seeing what they are making and have always meant to go in and order something. I cannot remember exactly which salad off the menu I ordered because the names escape me but I do know the ease of ordering online made it simple for me to add croutons and a TON of edamame, and that was at no added charge whatsoever, which was a great addition and a great feature. The salads have a great mixture of everything and it was big, like a two meal salad big. I don't advocate eating a salad in two sittings because I am not a fan of how the lettuce and other greens get less crisp and super soggy with dressing. However, that was not the case with this one. It was great the next day for lunch. Like outstandingly great. I don't have anything else from here to compare against other places except this salad, but I really did enjoy it and it was a reasonable price for the quality and the size of the meal. I would definitely like to try other things from Thunderbird II and will likely be coming back to customize another salad in the near future as I have a hard time finding salads that I can really make the way that I want them. Thunderbird 2 is our favorite pizza, and Chees steak and VERY BEST salad spot. However today we ordered baked ziti, chicken parmesan, & a variety of salads for a baby shower!! Since moving to Springfield, they have become a new go to for me. I like their pizza that's a perfect mix of thin but not too thin. Great sauce flavor which I will always appreciate. And they have some of the better wings I've had in the area. My wife is the Italian hoagie fan, and she ate hers over two days happily. And the bake at home kit they introduced recently is a lot of fun. Just make sure you have a couple hours first because you have to combine the dough ingredients first and let it rise. I would say that as a local wanting to give them the most excellent review I cannot anymore. Two more times I've attempted to order a simple grilled chicken sandwich on a round roll. The first try was amazing. Tasted so incredibly delicious. Second time it was a chic cheesesteak which I never ordered and the young man on the phone a few months ago said he can't fix it.. I called and explained the situation and they said next time just call and ask for it as a whole grilled piece of chicken. Next time , I called and asked them to make sure that it was a whole piece of chicken on a round roll as it should be, (not stated on a long roll in menu) and they said yes, no problem.. I picked up the sandwich went home and it was still chopped up chicken but on round roll. This makes no sense and I won't be ordering again from them because it's a very simple sandwich. There has been another instances of issues as well and more serious than grilled chicken. Much more important things but still, getting tired of it.. I went down to dairy cottage and they know what to do the correct way. Generally, I appreciate Thunderbird for trying to help the community. That is nice. read more

Sorry it took me so long to try Thunderbird! I tried the Landers pizza and Sea Isle square. Both were really good! The Landers is similar to Gaetano's in that it is a thicker crust, cheese on bottom, similar sauce on top. Delicious! The Sea Isle pizza was my favorite. It's a thin crust square pie with San Marzano tomatoes. Kind of reminiscent of a Grandma Pizza, if you've had that. The crust was really thin and super yummy! Speedy Gonzales salad was delicious! I loved the Mango Pineapple Vinaigrette - it wasn't too sweet or fruit but so good. I thought the salad itself was a decent size and definitely left me content.
