I had the moist Brisket Sandwich with hot honey sauce, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and cornbread. Everything was amazing and I would get it all again. The sandwich alone was a large portion and not dry at all, very delicious! With coleslaw on top, perfection. The Mac and Cheese was not your average Mac, absolutely delicious. Since you support the Military I would think you would be familiar with the US FLAG CODE. It is explicitly forbidden to alter the colors of the American Flag. It is also explicitly forbidden to have the American Flag as part of a commercial product. The Thin Blue Line Flag was created by white supremacists to show support for officers who murdered African Americans. Staff is friendly and sweet tea was pretty sweet like they do just about everywhere else around here. Apparently Sweet Tea in the south is not done this sweet as up here. Green beans and Macaroni was fine. Pulled pork and brisket cooked very well but since no spices or very little, it definitely needed the sauces. We had enjoyed Mission at several fundraisers and school events, and on a whim decided to pop by the Springfield location and grab dinner on a summer weeknight. The staff was super friendly, and our food arrived quickly. I went with the three meat sampler - pulled pork, brisket and cheddar & jalapeno sausage - with bbq baked beans, mac & cheese and a piece of cornbread. Paid the upcharge for the 911 memorial refillable cup, with the proceeds going to local first responders. Enjoyed everything, and appreciated the recommendation for the mustard with the sausage. The sauces were all as advertised, delicious and diverse. The pulled pork and brisket were prepared well but a little plain - the sauces were necessary. Sides were good, enjoyed those a lot. Ok so I have been in search of a good bbq place but Mission BBQ is actually pretty freaking great! I was in the area and happen to see it. Never being to one, I made a mental note to come back and give them a try. Very good bbq, sides, sauces and service. I mentioned it was my first time and they gave me a free dessert their yummy bread pudding. Packaging for take out orders is on point and they review your order before bagging it. Who doesn't love that? How many time have you've gone home to find an order screwed up?! Not here! I ordered the brisket which was really good and tried both types of ribs. I really like that you can purchase the ribs by the bone. I opted for Mac and cheese side and the baked beans with brisket bits. Both sides were made well and just yummy. The order comes with corn bread which was also very good. They had all the sauces in small containers for takeout so I grabbed them all. Prices are reasonable for the portions and the service was really good, efficient and pleasant. For sure this will be my go to for bbq! read more

It was our anniversary dinner and the restaurant we were reserved for closed temporarily for that day, bummer. So, my husband suggested BBQ and lone behold this place was down the road from our initial restaurant. Let's say eating here made up for the disappointment from the other restaurant being closed. Okay, I wasn't sure how I would like it because I grew up with southern cooks in my family. Surprisingly, it was good. The beef, chicken and pork was so tender, it melted in your mouth. I had not been back to the Springfield Mission since 2021 and 5 stars to Michelle who was working the dining room on a slow Monday night. The ribs were overly salty (too much rub) but the meat was cooked perfectly. One star off for the price increase. Just for my a 5 bone spare rib platter with ONE side and a regular fountain drink was over $19. Youch! Meanwhile, in these days of inflation, it's still a good value for a BIG hearty meal of delicious BBQ. I love the spareribs here. read more

This location is the absolute best MIssion BBQ in the tri-state area. The Plymouth Meeting location is a close second. The food here is always delicious and hot. There isn't a bad item on the menu. Mission BBQ is a fast-casual restaurant decorated with United States military paraphernalia as dedication to all the brave veterans as well as first responders who have served/are serving. I ordered the brisket entree with a side of mac and cheese. My first choice of side was the potatoes, but they were out. The brisket was delicious and I tried it with four of the BBQ sauces they offer. Smoky Mountain flavor ended up being my favorite. The meat is fresh and never frozen so you can count on having a pretty decent meal. They also have a friendly staff which you don't seem to find in fast-casual joints anymore, so there's a perk. Also, proceeds of sales are dedicated to national and local charities often for veterans which is another solid reason to dine there. read more

Last night we celebrated my son-in-law's fifth anniversary of his passing. Mission BBQ was one of his favorite places to eat. Everyone there was so nice to all of us. We had a party of 12 for dinner. The food was delivered quickly to our tables after we ordered. It was all so good. They also brought us a tray of cookies to help us honor Michael. Michael's picture is hanging on the wall as a firefighter as a tribute to all the firefighter who risk their lives each day! My reviews are about to take a different turn. Recently I decided to change my life and have weight loss surgery. So this is now limiting what I can eat. So you might think this would limit my eating out now, wouldn't it? Well, yes. But it won't stop it. I just have to be smart about it. And Mission BBQ allows me to do that. The ability to just order meat and one side with leftovers for tomorrow is clutch. The smoked turkey and green beans were perfect. I enjoyed Mission BBQ in my gluttonous days. I'm not usually a chain bbq person at all. I've eaten bbq at the best places in the country. That is why I'm surprised. The food here is good. The brisket is almost Texas level. For a chain it's really good. The jalapeño sausage is fully on poinT with the best of them. The Salmon isn't over cooked. It's cooked at a medium/medium well! Not over cooked. Finally the service is always amazing. I hope they keep it up. Pretty solid BBQ for high prices. Best in the area for sure. Got their spare ribs and they were super flavorful. Legit smoked ribs are a hard find around here, but Mission has you covered. The highlight was the fries and the variety of sauces. The fries were super crispy, warm and delicious. They have 20 or so sauces, so there's no chance you won't find one you like.
