Can't go wrong with Rockos. I stopped in to grab lunch in the area and was happy with my experience. Upon walking in I was greeted by a lady at the counter who was awesome. We chatted about the menu, the business and talked pizza. The owner was there and was friendly, busy and extremely focused. The inside was clean and nicely decorated. They had a nifty old antique paper holder/cutter from a butcher shop that was pretty cool looking! The menu was well rounded, yet simple. It's not overloaded with offerings, but had depth to the standard pizza shop items. I ordered a 10" small sized pizza well done and didn't wait too long. If your a big cheese person and like a buttery crust you'll enjoy their pizza. The sauce was good, but had less of a flavor due to the cheese. The crust was slightly charred, buttery and crispy. It's not my style with the extra cheese, but overall there is nothing bad to say about the pizza from Rockos. Thanks guys! read more

Sad to say, but I've lived in delco all my life (it's okay to feel pity for me) and I've had pizza from all the pizza places in town. Gaetanos in Clifton Heights/Springfield had always held the #1 spot for the best pizza in delco because it was so unique. Unfortunately Gaetanos closed this year and as of now it looks like they aren't coming back. So what's a delco boy to do with a giant pizza slice shaped hole in their heart!? Order from Rockos, that's what! Thankfully Rockos opened up seemingly not too long ago and although I first ordered from them last year, I've now been ordering from them consistently ever since Gaetanos closed. Rocko's pizza is so addictive that I sincerely find it hard to stop eating once I start. I can easily eat more of their pizza in one sitting than any other pizza and that even includes the aforementioned Gaetanos. Rockos uses a cheese on their pizza that is so perfectly salted that it'll leave you craving for more. The crust is perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and chewy on the inside. I have 2 parrots and they will damn near assault each other for just the smallest piece of Rockos pizza crust and I totally understand why they get like that. I know some people hate the crust on pizza, but I personally love pizza crust and consider myself to be a pizza crust snob. Rockos crust is hands down the best crust I've ever had on a pizza. I friggin love it! Anyway... I'm just bloviating at this point so let me sum it all up by saying Rockos is a fairly new pizza joint, but are absolutely worth trying out! I haven't had much of their other food, I've mainly just ordered pizza, but the pizzas I've gotten here have been fantastic! I genuinely urge anyone in delco to give them a shot, I think you'll be surprised with just how damn tasty their pizza is. Today we asked for a specialty pizza and asked for chicken bacon ranch but add buffalo - they talked it over for a second and without any more detail made a perfect pizza and quite delicious! My first bite took me by surprise because I thought it was just going to be a normal blah chicken cheesesteak. Well, well, well..you proved me wrong & I thank you truly from the bottom of my tummy. The chicken was NOT blah at all. It was nicely cooked, not dry & full of flavor! I am salivating as I am typing this. lol. The bread was also wonderful because it was fresh & not the day old 2 day old bread. Also, estimated time of delivery was 75 minutes. This was the first time trying an Inside out pizza since moving to PA. It wasn't terrible. I wouldn't exactly call it a fried calzone either. It's like an extra large Totino's pizza roll. We tried this spot for the first time this afternoon. I polished a cheesesteak with FO/Mayo and Mustard with cheese fries well done. My wife had a medium plain pizza. A+ all around. The steak was tender and not greasy. The bread was good. The pizza has very nice flavor, nice thin crust. The fries were well done, as asked and with the good cheese whiz.
